They were fine. I think they did a good job. They were on time and everything went as they said they would.

The work took place in well-ordered phases, all in one day. A crew of two weatherized the attic ductwork with tape and adhesive, and blew in several additional inches of insulation. They then repeated the work on ductwork under the house. A second crew arrived shortly thereafter with the foam equipment and thoroughly insulationed under the first floor. Clean up was thorough and all was done professionally and quickly.

Forest, the owner of the company did most of the work himself. He was timely, clean, and very professional. I asked about additional insulation and they ulimately blew in additonal insulation in the attic spaces and put netting around some insulation in the attic walls that was prone to sagging. All of our doors have a much better seal and we will see how the insulation works this summer.

This company was awesome. Forrest was very prompt in returning my calls, coming out for the initial estimate, and setting up the appt to do the work. His team came in and quickly got the job done. They had to stop and fix an old AC vent where insulation was falling out onto the floor because someone prior had cut the vent opening too large for the vent cover to properly attach. They seemed happy to fix this for me even though it wasn't in the original estimate. They also found holes in the attic walls where pests could access, so they sealed those for me. Forrest filled out the paperwork I needed to get a nice CPS rebate. If I had another attic, I would use them again for the same services! Use this company for all your insulation/energy needs.

I called to inquire about the coupon and what all was included. We talked about the attic fan and the insulation. There was an error with the ad and the owner said he would honor what was written in the deal. They were very pleasant to speak with over the phone. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the deal due to unexpected expenses.

Outstanding experience overall; estimate was accurate, fast installation/service. Good discount included. Owner filed all the paperwork to get me the energy rebate with CPS energy. I didn't expect it but the insulation and the solar fan significantly cut my energy bill during summer and a year later got me a tax credit as well. Paid for itself in less than 6months and with the tax credit this year, it probably made me money.

Both times arrrived exactly when expected, and performed services a lot faster than expected.Reasonable pricing.

That is special to my situation, I just don't think I had enough for them to do.

I had a hard time getting them to schedule the work due to the volume of jobs they had. The work was done well as promised and I have had great results with the work and equipment. I'd use them again.

Only one worker came. He arrived on time and everything seem to go very well. It's when he started to do the caulking though when he slacked off in my opinion. He didn't have the right color, only clear, I wasn't happy about that cause the windows had white caulking. He did 2 windows before I noticed that he didn't clean the window seals or strip the old caulking for the new. I asked him about this but his answer was that it would cost more. I said that all he used was weather stripping and caulking so the cost couldn't be that much, his reply was that they didn't strip. I also had to follow him with a clean wet towel cleaning the seals so that the caulking would adhere. He remarked that I really was professional. That's what I had expected from him. At this time I wasn't happy so when he finished the inside and went to do the outside he asked me if it would be alright to use clear out there also. I said no that the caulking outside was a natural color and that he would have to match it. He said that all he had was clear and I said he should have been more prepared. He had to come back a couple of days later to finish the job. The outside caulking was done over the old and could have been alot better.

Forrest, the foreman, came to do the evaluation and estimate. On his recommendation I agreed to some additional insulation beyond the Angie's List deal. Workmen arrived on time and were pleasant and agreeable throughout. They behaved courteously and seemed anxious to please. They did not insulate the full area agreed upon, however, and I had to point out an area which was missed. They went back up and completed that area once I pointed it out. Also there was much loose insulation which deposited in my air conditioning closet, which they cleaned up, but only after I pointed it out. The solar fan was initially mounted in a position from which 1/4 to 1/3 of exhaust air was hitting the wall, rather than exiting through the gable vent. Once I pointed this out the fan position was changed to allow exhausting fully out the gable vent. The solar fan began clanging intermittently within the first month after installation. I contacted Forrest and he indicated he would order a new fan and replace the malfunctioning one. That took more than two months and additional calls to accomplish. When the new fan was installed the technician moved the solar cell on the roof from its original position to a position from which it would only have caught morning sun and also was visible from the street, which I specifically asked Forrest to avoid. The afternoons during summers are much longer and this is when the solar fan is most effective, so original position was chosen in consultation with Forrest. The evening the replacement fan was installed, our security lights went out. They were on a circuit which I believe was near where the installer had gone to do the fan work. After checking breakers (no problems), light fixtures (no current), I called Forrest on December 13. He said he would either get someone out to take care of this by Saturday, or the week after Christmas, since we had an out-of-town trip planned for the week before Christmas. All in all, I expect higher quality work, better judgment, more care, and especially more responsiveness when I invest more than $1200 for what was to be three hours of reasonably simple work for three people. I do not wish to spend money and have to be the quality control agent for the installation. I enjoyed all the personnel who did the work. I was not pleased with the quality of the work, however. The original work was performed August 17. Today, January 5, it is not complete and I have been without a porch light and other security lighting on the front of my house for nearly a month.

They did a very good job. They gave me an estimate, did what they said they were going to do, and did it quickly without any issues. They were very knowledgeable, honest and I thought their price was fair.

My experience with them was good in the end but in the beginning it wasn’t. I wanted them to install an attic fan and roof vent and that’s what they told me they were going to do. They told me they were going to have to increase the size of the hole of the vent. When they sent their technician over, they tried to install a gable fan underneath the current vent and they insisted on telling me that was the actual ceiling vent. I had the instruction saying it’s a gable fan so I told them not to continue the job. The owner then came and he told me the same thing. After I showed him the paperwork, they came back about a week later and they came with the correct unit and put that in there. Clearly there was a huge price difference between the two. They gave a good price deal but it was a cheap product. If I wasn’t home, I would never have known that. In the end they took care of it. They did the job really well. The owner really tried to make the job right and made sure I was happy in the end. But I felt I was initially deceived.

Installation was fast and courteous, and the product works well.

They were very pleasant when they did the estimate and the services following. After I had a survey provided by CPSEnergy, I was suggested that I increase my insulation to R-47, the current was at R-14. Rhino-Energy was one of 3 companies I interviewed. They were very personable and friendly plus their price was good for the long run. Since then, my comfort zone has been very comfortable. Not only that they filled out the form for me to get rebate from the CPSEnergy. Very accommodating. Would immediately refer them to my friends.

They put new door seals around all my exterior doors. Did a good job.

This was one of our better experiences in working with a local contractor/supplier. We were under no sales pressure to perform additional work. Instead, it was explained that City Pub Service had a program to reimburse homeowners of homes in our age bracket for upgrading the insulation to current standards. The program convinced us that the benefit was worth the cost and in the long run, the insulation would pay for itself. All of the work was performed as shown on the proposal and the people were both professional and understanding of our concerns. In the end, all of the required paper work necessary for the program was filled out and submitted to CPS for us. There were no surprises and we were kept completely informed during the entire process. The proposed cost was extremely competitive, and the final cost was less than originally quoted. Based on my experience, these are good people to work with, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

The new fan they installed goes on automaticly when it's needed. They were very good. He even saw that I was having trouble with my dishwasher and he repaired my dishwasher connection for me. He insulated the garage door for me.

The company and the people were professional in responding to the phone call. They showed up on time performed the work efficiently and left without making a mess even though they sprayed some insulation in the attic. We will use them again in the future and recommend them to anyone who needs a solar fan or insulation.

Great company, efficient, polite, didn't try to sell us services we didn't need.

We had to re-schedule a couple of times, due to the weather, but overall I can definitely feel the difference, specially on windy days.

I was really impressed with them. I used them the last on 02/28/11 and then I rescheduled them on March 3rd, but I do not remember why. They came out for the inspection and then they came back to install a retrofit kit in the closet, because they did not have the right size or something with them. The big deal called for a very attic entry insulator and they did not have that with them. They gave me a really good estimate for the attic entry insulation, etc., but unfortunately I could not do that at that time. I think it was a great service and the gentleman's name was Florez. He explained a lot of things to me and told me what the insert could not do and he gave me several different options for installation, etc., and I was really impressed. He seemed to be very knowledgeable.
