"Thank you for sharing your experience you had with Schmidt Mechanical Group. We use a paperless invoice system and I have confirmation that your signed invoice (service report) was sent via e-mail prior to the tech leaving your home. It is very possible the e-mail went to the wrong address due to input error by the technician. This can be resolved very easy and all we need to do is confirm the e-mail we have in our system and resend it. My office has reached out to you a couple of times this am with no success in reaching you and I got with every girl in the office and none of them have spoke to you about this. Please call our office at your convenience so we can resolve this issue. If there was any other issues that lead to us receiving an F rating for professionalism I need to know immediately so I can get that worked out as well. Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing back from you on this matter."
Proved that our regular service provider was guilty of telling us our AC coil was bad and that it'd cost is over $1,200 to replace it. Schmidt technician, Raymond, spent a full half-hour checking out our system and concluded there was no leak. We've now signed a service contract with them for 2x a year system checkup at $300/year less than the people we've been with since we came back from Europe three years ago. We moved into a Del Webb / Pulte 55+ community and inherited their installation people. We've now found better!
During the three hours Raymond and company advisor, Jared, were here, they checked out things people from the other outfit never did. The Schmidt approach was very thorough, informative, and I can say that I'm pleased to recommend these HVAC specialists to everyone.
And a couple of footnotes: the $128 charge included the cost of a one-year service agreement *and* bringing the Freon level up to where it should've have been from the beginning. A 5***** company.
This was a big deal purchase. When they came out they did not do it correctly and we lost all power in our air conditioning system. We had to stay overnight in a hotel. They had to come back and redo it because he forgot to connect something in our air conditioning system. That could have caused a fire in our home since he was careless. Things that they were supposed to do they did not even do. My husband had to point all that out. Up in our attic they were supposed to do something and my husband had to tell him that he did not even do it. That is supposed to be part of it. I am glad my husband noticed that he had not put a part in correctly. I felt that they should have paid for the hotel room. I have an elderly mother so it was just horrifying. I thought the price was good. They did not do everything they were supposed to do. They did not do a good upstairs inspection of the unit in the attic. He did not flush the drain and stuff and they were supposed to. The first guy did not adequately inspect the whole outside unit. The second guy did a better job. I think the first guy was too impressed with his new tools and trying to get out here as soon as he could.
"[Members name removed] thank you so much for serving in our Armed Services. I greatly appreciate your feedback on your experience. I pulled the paperwork from your service call back in October and do not see that any repairs were made to your system. We performed the Angie's list tune up special and diagnosed the leak location and quoted $430.00 for the leak repair and refrigerant recharge which was not approved. The total spent on the Angie's List tune up special that day was $98.00. I'm not sure if you are mistaking our company with another company but I definitely want to make it right with you and resolve this issue. We offer a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee on all work performed and strive on consumer service and honesty. Please call my office at (210) 444-9418 so we can make this right. Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing back from you on this matter."
