They tore off the roof on a Wednesday and did not come to put the shingles up until a week later. it rained and needless to say the roof leaked. It took them over two weeks to finally complete the roof installation blaming it on Owens Corning. After the roof was allegedly complete, it leaked one week after the completion. It took them two days to come out and fix the problem. They were dishonest, elusive, expensive, unprofessional and although the owner assured us that we would receive a $500 refund from Owens Corning he informed us just recently that we were out of luck. Too bad, so sad. Horrible company to deal with.
Description of Work: Replaced the roof with a "roofing system" that was suppose to have insulating properties. Not so much.

[member name removed], I am first handed surprised to see your misconstruction of the facts, regardless of everything we done for you. On our last call you threaten us if we didn't give you a credit you would write a negative review and because we didn't react to your threat I see you have done what you threaten to. Initially your contracted amount is not correct by several hundred dollars and we can provide you the document if need be. Secondly, we spent more than 1 year using our system to help you get your roof replaced. Your insurance company denied your claim and you had NO MONEY at all to change your roof so you asked us to please work with them. We finally used our system and help you achieve more than what was needed to get your roof replaced with upgrades. We initially placed the order with Bradco supplies for the material to be delivered, then we began production. Bradco supplies did not get the order in even though they had schedule a delivery with us. Because you had a specific request it was more difficult to accommodate by them. This is something you receive a call from the people over a Bradco to personally explain to you. And we have that call recorded should you need to be reminded. Then you receive a call from the Representative at Owens Corning explaining the same, also recorded. Secondly, We finished the roof with all the components that were needed. We were pending 1 small piece which had to be special order. And again, because it wasn't here locally we had to wait. However, because of all the issues we had on this case we personally work with you and provided you with an upgrade for $1,200.00 at no extra cost and discounted an additional $400 for the inconvenience to you. At the end of the project you wanted to see how much more money you could save, trying to hold on to the insurance companies money to put into your own pocket. At that point no one can help you, we perform our work and even with the inconvenience we work around it. We wish you luck, but our reputation far outweighs your false claims.

A representative from R & R Roofing came out to our house to give us an estimate on a few shingles that had blown off in a wind storm that happened a few days prior. When he showed up he didn't go up and inspect the roof, he already had an estimate of $850...I think he said he did an inspection by an aerial shot. He went on to say that we had the wrong shingles on our roof for the pitch and that our 15 year old roof needed to be totally replaced...well, we had our home built and it was only 8 years old. We had another company come out to give us an estimate on the same damage...this company was recommended by our insurance company. He went up on the roof and came back down and said we needed a few shingles replaced and that the adjacent shingles were in good shape and that the rest of the roof was in good shape...the estimate was $350.00. I asked him if we had the wrong shingles on the roof for the pitch and he just laughed... We had the work done by this other company and paid $350.00.

Member, Every service professional has a different view on their estimate, to me a project which is constrantly undergoing repairs need to be properly addressed. Before we got there you in your mind already knew what you wanted to hear and didnt let a professional tell you what we found. We gave an estimate which we could back up for 5 years and because it wasnt in your pricing range you became upset. I am not sure how much longer your repairs will last but I will advice you a 2 story home with a 6 pitch and 3 tab shingles stappled and hot glued to the roof will not live to see its full 20 years. I am sorry your not happy with our estimate but why do you resort to giving an F for a professional opinion? If you know what you need and dont a professional to try to explain it to you (or at least dont want them to do their job by it) please call a company and tell them what YOU want them to do not what their estimate is based on the damage. IF it helps you we will gladly invite a 3rd party property adjuster for his report (which will back ours up) and even a city inspector just please dont be upset at us because you didnt want to pay what our estimate was.

It was a nighmare practically from the beginning. The constant badgering me about all the work he had done for me was very unnerving. I would not recommend these people to anyone.
Description of Work: I had a horrible experience with this roofer. When he first came out to the house he had me sign for a proposal. He said he needed it so that he could get to work on the quote. When he came back with the qoute it seemed in line with what the insurance company said it would cover. I needed a full reroof and a replacement roof over the screened in porch. I told him that I wanted a metal roof that deflected the heat. He said that was not a problem. He called a couple of weeks later and said he had additional information and needed to come back to the house. In this visit he said that he didn't think a metal roof was the way to go and suggested that I put on a plywood roof and have it shingled or a plywood roof and have a white coating attached to it to deflect the heat. If they put on the shingles, I would be looking up at nails in the inside of the porch. He said I could get someone to enclose it afterward so the nails wouldn't show. But with either suggestion I would be left to paint the inside roof on the porch. He said that he would increase the price of the shingles so that the plywood would be covered by insurance since there wasn't plywood on the roof now. He emailed me the quote. It was about $500 higher than the first quote for the metal roof. I emailed the next day and told him that I wanted a Mueller 26 gauge metal roof and attached a link so that he could see exactly what I wanted. He said he would look into it and email me another quote. The third quote still contained the inflated price for the shingles and now had a charge of $$600+ to remove a Mueller 26 gauge roof and replace the roof for an additional $600.00. Now it was costing more than $1,000.00 that the first quote. Since I didn't have a metal roof this was now making me even more uncomfortable about using them. I sent an email and said that I would not be doing business with him now or ever and all of the reasons why I had made that decision. He sent one back saying that I owed him $750.00 for cancelling the contract. I didn't have a contract. I signed for a proposal. I am a senior citizen and this to me really felt like with all the difference quotes ect and the discrepencies that he was trying to take advantage of me. I told him that and eventually backed off and said to let him know if I wanted to cancel the agreement. I said yes. Hopefully this is the end of this disaster.

We heavily appreciate the opportunity to work with you and value your opinion, however we do ask for all factors to be properly represented. In your story you have shared a lot of items which you felt, they do not neccesarily make them correct or accurate but below are the insdepustable facts. We appreciate your age but its no excuse to make false accusations: You contacted us through service magic over 2 months ago. Out of the 3 roofer's which inspected your roof everyone but us told you the insurance would NOT pay- we went one step further and visited with you and informed you of how we can work with them and the course of action to take. We did tell you we would have to purchase weather reports ($197), pay an independent adjuster to give us a report ($300), and buy satellite measurement for the property($55) all of this didnt have a single cost to you. The only thing we ask was for once the claim was approved to give it to us and we both fully aware signed the contract that same day. Once we reported everything and you file the claim, we proceeded by emailing every single document. Shortly after they dispatched an adjuster to verify the claim, you were asked to contact us and let us know instead you told the adjuster to give you all the figures to see how much you can make off the claim. A couple of days later we contacted you to see if you had been approached by any adjusters for the inspection, you didnt take our call and choose to call us from a private number telling us to give you an estimate and you would think it over. We replied with an email letting you know we would do the work as the adjuster's report would indicate and for the exact price (given their database and ours is the same exactomate) as indicated on the contract. You called us and said you didnt have your copy of the contract and we reply by sending you another copy. At this point I asked you why you were treating us like strangers and you said you were an "old lady and you had being had" in the past. We told you we were NOT the past and unless we did something wrong not to treat us as a criminal. You told us we were right and at that point i asked you how you wanted to proceed, you said for us to give you a cash qoute. We proceed to do so, we gave you 3 different ones, each one changed with the more things you wanted. I even told you to let us see what the insurance gave you and we work around those numbers even if we had to break even on some items, YOU refused because of the same reason. So all we could do is give you numbers. On our first estimate you told us we were "WAY BELOW THE INSURANCE" and asked us what upgrades we could do on the patio, at this point YOU told us to change the shingle color and askes us to begin right away. YOU TOLD US TO BUY THE MATERIAL. On the patio roof you asked us to redeck it and add modified roofing, we added to the estimate redecking and modified for 150/sq WAY BELOW MARKET RATE. Your insurance only payed (99 sq on the patio roof due to the low quality). Then a couple of days later you said you wanted Mueller metal roofing, we had to spend a couple of days calling in for qoutes. The best qoute for the material was 856 and we charged a labor of 600(about break even), We sent this out to you and you didnt call us. WIthout doing too much matemathics what do you think happens to a project when you ask to ADD and ADD items to it with a higher price tag than what you previously had? I called you to follow up and in cowardly fashion you continue to send us an offensive email telling us we were bad people. I replied to you asking to what the problem was and explained the price and you proceed by insulting us in every way you could. I gave you the chance to cancel and informed you because you asked us to move on the project right away and on top of the expenses I had previously concurred we were into the project several thousand dollars, we could return the material to the warehouse but we would be charge a restocking fee. We asked for the cancellation fee in the contract which you responded with every single excuse you possibly could. At the end of the day I told you I wanted to walk away friends and offer you to eat the several hundreds of dollars my self and you reply by saying in your email "F*** you cancel it and walk away". We decided to cancel it and put it behind us and now you decide to continue trying to harm us in any way you can, we have offer you to go through the BBB resolution program if you have a real issue but you continue hidding behind coward false reviews. Up to now we treated you with every single last bit of professionalism(given you everything you asked for) and you continue to be a offensive and aggresive, if you are a god fearing person I would be really concern because you will collect what you plant. You directly lying about us and trying to harm the people who have already done a lot, more importantly all the workers and the lifes of the people they are tring to provide for. We have several references from residential clients all accross San Antonio, El Paso, Laredo, Del Rio, and sorrounding counties for projects from the 4 to the 8 figures. Please prior to evaluating a business on a faceless lie take the time to meet the company. No one can ever satisfy 100% of their clients but we try and we would like the oppurtinity to be judge outside of the false accusations below.
