Precision Lawn & Tree

We purchased this Big Deal through here on AL on February 28th. Much to my delight, Jason responded to us early the next day offering us a choice between hardwood mulch and cedar mulch, even though the deal specified hardwood only. We were pleased that we had a second option, and chose cedar. I provided our contact number and confirmed delivery for March 14th. March 14th rolled around and no one showed up - no phone call or e-mail. I'd taken off work to ensure I'd be there for the appointment! I called Precision late Friday afternoon to see if they still intended to show up, and left a voice mail. I followed up with an e-mail too, and finally received a message on the following Wednesday apologizing for missing our appointment. Jason explained that they were very behind due to their service truck being in the shop for repairs, and had realized that they had incorrectly transferred my number from my order, and thus, were not able to call me. I ended up calling Jason again the following week to arrange delivery on April 5th, and received another yet e-mail on the 30th requesting verification of the delivery date and time; he'd wanted to make sure he wrote it down correctly. In the end, Precision DID finally come through. They showed up on April 5th at 10 am sharp, exactly as promised, and did a wonderful job. According to my father in law, who agreed to meet them, they were quick, efficient and professional. Visually, we love the end result of their efforts and the quality of the product. Although we were pleased with Precision's work, and Jason was polite, professional, and apologetic about the missed appointment, I'm still on the fence as to whether we'd use them again. I don't want to chance another day of waiting around and then another few weeks of back and forth to reschedule. I would've been ok with being scheduled way out if they were upfront about their backlog as long as they showed up when promised.

They did a really good job. They were here a long time and cleaned up really good afterwards. I've asked him to do some additional tree work for me.

The owner came by to give me an estimate and seemed genuinely nice and interested in my project. I purchased the coupon but had more work that needed to be done thus I needed an estimate. I truly felt like he treated my project like it was HIS own home/project. On the day of service, the team was late but I am NOT penalizing him because unlike other vendors I've used in the past, his manager called me to apprise me of the situation (truck died en route). When they arrived, the owner arrived with them and apologized profusely. They did not penalize me in terms of time either. They stayed until all the work was done to my satisfaction. My front garden bed was weeded, mulched, old bushes were trimmed, and new flowers were planted. I finally have curb appeal! In my back yard, my garden beds were cleaned out, weeded, new weed barrier was put down, and again, new plants were planted for esthetics. I am very happy with the services provided but truly impressed by the response from this company/owner and how polite and professional his team is. I would recommend them and use them again!!!

It was a great experience, and I had no problems at all. Scheduling was easy, they did a great job laying the mulch, and they cleaned up after themselves. They even laid some additional mulch at no extra cost since they arrived a bit late. Ultimately, they provided excellent customer service, and I will be using them in the future.

They did the work well for being a big job. They did not cause any damage and removed a lot of trees. They also had reasonable prices too.

It went well but here is my problem, i paid him and then i got a bill from you all. I did not know i was not supposed to pay him. He did clean up well.

They were great. I used them because my husband was deployed and he came back so we stopped using them. They were quick, efficient, on time, dependable and kind.

Provider showed up on time and performed work as described. He was courteous and very helpful. I will not hesitate to call him for my future landscaping needs.

The job went well. The crew completed the jobs on the dates promised and kept in contact with me via email.

They were fine but they were running late. I told them to come in the late afternoon but they had too many calls. So, what they did for me in place of that was they gave me an extra yard of mulch for the inconvenience because they had to come back the next day. They were really good about it and there were no additional charges. They are coming back next week for some followup. They were nice people and they kept with the lateness. They could not make it and I understood that they could not so I was not bothered by that. I have not had mulching done before but I think that their price was pretty reasonable. They spreaded the mulch pretty well but they spilt some mulch and they did not sweep it up. That was the only thing. They were already out on the street so I had to do that myself. Normally, these companies will clean up after themselves but they did not do that.

Outstanding work. We had a total of 8 beds mulched. They were running behind due to weather, but we were contacted and given a later time (same day). The crew arrived on time and went to work. The product provided was perfect and the work was outstanding. The crew doing the work was very friendly and hard working. When I got home from work they were still at it and about to finish up. Each member of the crew took time to introduce themselves.This might not seem like much to some folks, but it was important to me. It shows a company and workers who see customer service as important. Great job

Great service by Jason and his crew. There was a delay in the schedule but he committed to getting it done that day. They were professional and did a great job. I highly recommend.

Quick response to my initial call for estimate of service to schedule routine lawn maintenance. His crew is thorough and professional. Have used them for additional yard grooming, clearing out old shrubs and trimming bushes, etc... and the price was fair.

It was not great. They are just unreliable and they have poor quality. Don’t use them. They return phone calls.

They did a wonderful job. They were very precise and they definitely know their business. I would recommend them.

We purchased the deal (which is still active online) which offered 4 hours (a 3 man crew) of tree service for $500. Our two complaints are that (1) only 2 men showed up and (2) the shrub trimming equipment quit working halfway through the service. When calling Sherman to inquire why we only got 8 man hours (actually less since much time was spent/wasted trying to get the trimming equipment to work) instead of the advertised 12, he said the ad was a misprint and should have stated 2 men--that 3 men were only for the full day service. Yet another review, dated Sept. 14, 2013, paid $500 and the reviewer stated, "We received more than 12 person hours of work pruning our tall trees and big bushes." He would not honor the ad to give us an additional 4 hours of tree service, but said that he would send someone out the next week to finish the shrub trimming, since the equipment malfunctioned, but no one has ever come. We honored our end by prepaying the full amount before service was rendered, but did not get our money's worth or get what we paid for. The man who trimmed one tall tree did a good job.

The crew needed more supervision. As soon as the boss left, they retreated to the back of the 1/2 acre lot to goof off.

The company showed up promptly and did everything on the list. They were very reasonably priced and did a very nice job pruning and shaping bushes that had been neglected. Sherman (the owner) was very courteous and responsive. We liked them so much that we plan to use them for lawn care in the spring.

They did a great job. Getting them to call me back and schedule it was a struggle to the point where I almost called and cancelled but they called me at the last minute and then they came out the next day so it all worked out but it was tough to get them to call me back. They got there a little later than I anticipated but they worked fast. They cleaned up everything. It looks really nice. They were very cordial and they worked through the day and it worked out. The price was great.

He did a good job, however I was disappointing with one thing. He was supposed to be here for so many hours, but he left an hour early. He said it was part of the commute time. He was very efficient and he cleaned up well. The price was good.

Worked performed. Did not anticipate water from roof as the problem. Problem identified did not solve the water run off problem. had same problem with next rain.

I have been using this company since July of this year. The yard work itself is satisfactory. The conflict I have is the non-responsiveness from the company. I met the owner/manager the first time they mowed and we agreed on an indefinite contract and rough timeline for when to expect service. After the first experience, which was $120 for them to pull weeds, trim bushes and trees, lay down mulch, and mow the lawn, I have had to call twice to ask for service for fear of the HOA issuing any more warnings. Those two times and each subsequent time I called for one reason or another, I was never able to get a hold of the owner/manager and he never called back. However, he did ensure my lawn was cut as soon as possible after receiving my messages. I wish they could establish a more concrete timeline of when service will be provided so that I can plan on having payment ready for them, I have a better idea of when they will show up to my home, and so that I can rest assured my weeds won't cause me any trouble from the HOA. An app would be just marvelous to track timeline and payment. I still give the company an overall A rating because despite the non-responsiveness, the job still gets done in a timely manner and all the workers have been polite, respectful, and professional.

Sherman came out Oct 22 to preview the work to be done and his crew came out the next day and completed the work. They did a wonderful job of trimming and cleaning up...very professional!

Called Precision Tree based on good AL reviews on 10/13/13. Sherman showed up the same day to give an estimate. He said the $500 half day special would be sufficient to handle the small amount of tree work that I needed and I agreed. He said I would be on the schedule for next week. It has been over a month and despite two follow up calls be me (always goes to a recording) No One Has Ever Showed Or Even Called Back. I am now happy I did not pre-pay this online! Makes you wonder if this business is still in business or legitimate. Strange, because the reviews were good. Don't know if I can trust Angie's List.

I have them now my lawn every two weeks. They do an awesome job and keep the mower blades at the highest setting like we asked to keep the grass from dying. They'll also be planting our flower beds once we're ready to decide on what plants we'd like. Sherman is very knowledgeable about a vast array of plants and very professional.
