Pinnacle Aire

The owner came out, collected a check for $65.00 and performed a temperature split from supply and return vents with infrared heat gun. He spent very little time in our house, maybe 20 minutes tops, and didn't check out any of my concerns. He said everything looked good because we had temperature split 17 degrees, but said our unit is undersized, and noted we had a sky light, so that had to be a problem with heat. He didn't check to see if evaporator was working properly. He couldn't figure out why the humidity was high and he did very little to even earn the required payment of $65.00. Later that next day I went into our attic to check the outside air damper and noticed that the damper was stuck in the fully open position from the mastic material used to seal the ductwork. The damper motor was hot, so I let it cool down and was able to break control arm free from mastic material. The outside air damper is now working as it should have been working a long time ago.
