My Repairman

Called on Tuesday morning at 9am, Alex (service man) was at my house by 1pm. He found the problem, fixed it without making me buy new parts, and the washer works great. Was amazed by him and the company as a whole. I will only use them from now on and have recommended them on FB to all my friends.

Called Friday morning to get an estimate for a service call to level the legs on the washing machine because we just moved. After informing me that I should use the proper packing when I move, I was then advised that I could get someone out until Wednesday of the following week. Having dirty laundry for that long a time was not acceptable, and informed him that I would locate someone else that was willing to take my money. Definitely won't be calling back for any repair.

They came and evaluated the microwave isolating the problem to the magnitron. The man was very helpful and let us know it would be cheaper to replace the microwave. He also gave my husband some advice on how to install it himself to help us save a little more money.

They discovered the casing for the filter was loose. The filter was old, probably unchanged in years. They fixed the casing and advised a filter change twice per year.

My 12 year old Maytag gas oven was producing an excessive smell of gas when igniting. The service diagnosed the problem as an overly slow starting ignition element and ordered the replacement part (about $60). The office called the next day, indicating the part was in, a second visit was scheduled, the igniter was replaced and the oven now works well. Everything was professionally and quickly done.

The receptionist was very good on the phone and was very informative. My appt. was set for between 1:00-5:00 with a 30 minute window to call before the service tech was to arrive. I received a call when the service truck was 5 mins. from my home and I was running an errand to return home in 20 minutes and they said they would take the next call because I was not home. At 4:50 I had not received a call so I spoke with the receptionist and she tracked them down and I received a call at 4:55 to let me know they were "on there way". My Sub-Zero freezer was not operating properly, they came in, looked at it started repairing it, at the beginning of the repair I asked them how much it would be, he told me about $200.00, the timer was out, I agreed with that and they proceeded. They asked me if I wanted them to "clean out" the dust , I agreed and they informed me that it would be another $35.00 for the cleaning. In fixing the freezer they needed to remove the pull-out baskets which exposed the bottom of the freezer which need to be wiped out, I asked if they could do that while it was out and they said "that they would let me do it if it did not take to long". I proceeded on my own while they watched me do it. Upon completion of the job I paid $225.00 and the receipt did not break down parts and labor. They also told me I had a light bulb our in the freezer but they did not have any in the truck. Upon reviewing it and thinking about the time that they were at my house and how long it took to do the repair (50 minutes), I started doing some research. I found the part they replaced on-line, it ranged from $24.00 -$49.99, and they were only there for less than an hour, I did the math it appeared that the charge should have been closer to $140.00. I called and questioned them and they just said that is the price for replacing that part and cleaning the top part of the fridge where the dust collects. I feel a bit like I was taken advantage of even though I was told me the service tech that that repair would normally be about $400.00. The freezer is fixed and I am thankful for that just wondering if I could have had it done less expensive and not have waited all day.

It went very well. We've used Mr. Repairman for other appliance repairs and are always pleased with their expertise. The technician, Alexander, explained everything clearly to us. We will call them again in the future. We are also referring friends and family to use Mr. Repairman.

Overall: Excellent! Very polite and quick. He did arrive a bit later than stated, but still came on the same day service was scheduled for (I've had too many instances of waiting all day for service and then no serviceman arrived.)

No service was performed...cannot evaluate their ability to repair anything.

In reference to the refrigerator repair I had previously had Sears come to my home on three occasions to fix my ice maker. Each time Sears left they said it was fixed. I spent almost $500 on a new ice maker and it still didn't work. I then spent 2 1/2 months trying to get my money refunded while I still had no ice. I finally called My Repairman and George came to my home. He spent 45 seconds looking at the refrigerator and declared that it was fixed. The ice maker hose had come loose and was disconnected. He plugged everything back in, charged me $45. total (he also took care of my dryer). I immediately had ice. I think George is amazing, honest, and quick!! Sears on the other hand spent almost 3 months in and out of my house utilizing two different technicians on three visits while charging me $500. and it was all unnecessary. One repairman said I needed a new mother board and the other said I needed a new ice maker. I had no ice this entire time. I will only use My Repairman from now on. George is great!

It was great. He did everything he said he would and we didn't have to schedule another service date to replace the broken part.

I had to take a day off work, which cost me 8 hrs of PTO, because of the time frame they gave me. The repairman came in the middle of the time frame. He lifted and banged the lid closed a few times, took the front panel off, lifted the cover off the back of the machine where the dials are and it started working. He didn't know what was wrong, but said it may have been a loose wire. I paid him the service charge, but there was no repair charge because he didn't do anything. He did say the work was guaranteed, and I could call back if it stopped spinning again, and they would come back out. He said I would not be charged a service fee if they had to come back again. It stopped spinning after three washes. I called, spoke to "George" who told me he didn't care that I would have to take another day off, they didn't come after hours unless they charged $120 for it. It made sense to me that since the repairman had not fixed the problem the first time, they could create an excellent customer service recovery. He was not very nice about it, or even apologetic that my washer wasn't fixed. He just seemed to care about how much it would cost him out of pocket to come back to my house after my work or a Saturday. He even said something about not being able to afford to come out unless I paid the after hours fee. This company had a high Angie's list rating, so I expected excellent service. Many other repair services have hours til 7pm or Saturday am, and I have scheduled another service to come out when I don't have to take the time off. If George is so broke that he can't take care of the customers who have used his service, maybe he could make more money if he were more flexible about his schedule. If he is the owner, maybe he could come out himself and it wouldn't cost him anything except his time.

Ihad a great experience. The service call was 45$. George identified the problem on my washing machine as a circuit board had gone out. The part was close to 300$. He did not pressure me to make the repair. He told me the pro's and con's of repair or buying a new washer. That evening, I researched the part cost, could I do it myself, was it worth the repair...etc. I decided the next day to make the repairs. They came out that afternoon and repaired the machine. Excellent service and honest workers.

Everything went exactly like we wanted it to.

Called the company on Friday afternoon, they said first appointment available was Monday morning. Company called backa little later and techs arrived in 30 minutes. Diagnosed and fixed refridgerator in about an hour. The service was good, price was fair and I would use them again.

Repairman came in 2 days, diagnosed the problem. He had the part the next day and came to fix the dishwasher. We were very happy with the price and the service.

They came same day, temporarily fixed my problem (by resetting the dishwasher front panel), and gave me good advice (replace my old washer instead of paying for a repair). FWIW, George could have told me over the phone to try the panel reset and charged me for a bit of time, but I understand that's not always the best move for the service provider.

I was very satisfied with both the price and quality of the work. They fixed our oven just in time for our Christmas baking.

They diagnosed the back up refrigerator problem very quickly and replaced a faulty electrical part. They checked out the lighting problem on the kitchen refrigerator and determined the problem was a faulty wiring harness which had to be ordered and gave us an estimated time to obtain the part. They received the replacement part when promised, returned and repaired the kitchen refrigerator.

"Mr Repairman" called me back in a timely manner. They were courteous both on the phone and in person. My repair required a second trip but they responded quickly to come back out and did not charge me for the second trip. My dryer is working well and I am very happy with their service. The cost was very reasonable for the amount of time he spent. I plan to call them again if I need another appliance repair.

This company saved me from buying a new stove! Three of the four burners on my gas stove would not adjust down to the simmer flame level. I read the manual and still was not able to find the screws to make the adjustments. When the technician arrived he went to work and was not able to find the adjustment screws either. He also read my manual and still could not figure it out. However, he never gave up! He called another technician in the company and was able to make the adjustments! He even showed me where the screws were hidden so that if the problem happens again I would be able to fix it myself. While repairing the stove my wife and I explained to him how the oven was not cooking evenly. He was also able to adjust that as well and once again showed me how to do it. The technician was very professional and did an outstanding job which I greatly appreciate. I have had no problems since with the stove or the oven. I will definitely call My Repairman again for any appliance repairs I may need. The service was great, the price was right and the technician was very professional. I am a very satisfied customer and highly recommend My Repaiman!

The service coordinator arranged an appointment for the next morning and told us the serviceman would call 30 minutes prior to the appointment. As promised, the serviceman called which gave us time to get our dog outside. When he arrived he and his helper wiped their feet before entering and were very courteous (which my elderly Mother appreciated). He listened attentively to her issues and proceeded to troubleshoot the problem. He re-positioned the sensor and adjusted the thermostat as much as possible and told us that it was functioning properly within a few degrees. Also, should the oven begin to heat insufficiently again, he advised us that, due to the age of the appliance, a replacement thermostat would be difficult to find and probably expensive. We appreciated his candor. Great service call from start to finish.
