Greg provided great service. He was prompt, professional, and very courteous. He was careful to explain what he was going to do and was very patient while I explained a problem with one of our ducts. He performed the A/C service and added 3 lbs of refrigerant. He put a great deal of effort into analyzing the duct work (which is a bit complex because it is a 2 story home), tracing as much as he could in our attic space. Ultimately he asked if he could escalate the duct issue to his supervisor. I was pleased that he didn't just give up on it. I was also very pleased that there were no sales pitches. I called Mr. Erwin after I had another HVAC company (a top rated Angie's list company we'll refer to as and quot;Company Xand quot;) out to look at the same issues because I wanted a second opinion. Company X left me with two options for my A/C system. First, was an estimate of $11,000.00 for a new system, which they recommended while explaining the existing unit was still and quot;OKand quot;. The other option was to add refrigerant, which is the same service Greg provided. However, Company X quoted a price of $430 for the same service (in addition to their $95 service fee). Needless to say I will be using Mr. Erwin again in the future.

I sent an email after hours to get a quote on the work needed and the next morning I had an email from Butch requesting the model and serial number. I sent the information the next evening and had an email with the quote the next morning. Butch followed up with a phone call to ensure I had received the quote. Butch advised they could repair the unit right away but I was going out of town and set an appointment for the following Monday. The tech arrived on time and had the two units repaired within the hour. In addition, he had to rewire a couple of wires the tech from the other company had cut and I wasn't charged anything additional from the original quote. I was very satisfied with Mr. Erwin from start to finish and will use them for tune ups in the near future.

Excellent service. Provided before and after readings of the system to qualify for CPS rebates. Work was accomplished in an expedient and professional manner. I have since used them for a new furnace and service on another system. I would highly recommend Mr. Erwin.

One of our airconditioners went out on a Sunday so we called Mr., Erwin and left a message for them to call us. On Monday morning, we received the call and they came out that day to check to see what the problem was. The freon was low so he filled it and it appeared to work OK that night. Early the next morning we noticed the temperature had gone up so we called Mr. Erwin back. Their service manager Butch came at 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon and it was determined that the coil was leaking. He discussed the option of replacing just the coil on a 13 year old system but recommended the replacement of the entire unit. Since the unit was over 13 years old we decided to get a whole new system. By that evening we emailed us a written proposal of everything that would be done including information on the CPS rebate and Federal Energy Tax credit. I called him that evening and he was able to schedule two crews to start work the next morning. On Wednesday morning they came with a crew of about 5 men. They really worked long and hard! They were all VERY polite and hard workers. It took them all day to do it but they hardly stopped for a moment and it was a hot day. They cleaned up everything and left the area looking better than it was before they began. The technician came back the next and brought us all the necessary paperwork for CPS and Federal Energy Tax credit - all filled out and with envelopes and stamps! Would we use them again? Definitely - YES!!

We called Mr. Erwin based on Angie's List reviews and one previous experience (positive) with this company. Our A/C kept cutting out on the really hot afternoons we had August 2011. Oddly, it would come back on about 8pm each day, but it was a long hot afternoon without A/C. Mr. Erwin's repairman arrived within the time window we were told and behaved in a professional manner. He did not actually fix the problem we were having - after his work was done and $300 later, the A/C was still cutting out in the heat of the afternoon. Why am I not angry? 1) We called our electrician and determined that the problem was with the circuit breaker (overheating in the hot afternoon sun) and got that fixed for very little money and 2) Our electricity usage since the work by Mr. Erwin has dropped despite the fact that it's still insanely hot. With the reduction we're seeing, we will recover our $300 in just a few months. We conclude: Mr. Erwin did repairs that benefit us and were needed, they simply weren't the repairs that addressed our specific problem at the time. Because of this, they only got a and quot;Band quot; from us. Had the repairman urged us to look at repairing the circuit breaker (outside his skills to perform, but surely he knows something about power supply issues for A/C units?), they would have scored an and quot;A.and quot;

Went well. Service man was polite, efficient and thorough. He got the unit running well again, after checking everything, inside and out.

Everything is great. When the installed the new system they did all the paperwork for the tax credit and gave me the right forms. I misplaced the form right before tax season and they sent me another one. They are very good.

Historic home built in 1920's, not too up-to-date and previous owner (contractor) had installed last unit. Went from 9RU to 15RU which allowed for a local electric rebate and eligible for federal rebate (cost was ~$7500.00 with ~$1,000 in rebates back = $6,500 end price). Company is small, honest, and don't go for the and quot;hard selland quot;. We did not pick the cheapest company on purpose; we have found you get what you pay for in this city. Butch came out and did the estimate for free, had offers to use by e-mail in 24 hrs, and we booked within a day or two. Were allowed to name the date and they were here and gone in ~8 hrs with NO MESS left behind. House has been cool ever since. Butch later came by to hand-deliver the filled out rebate paperwork with stamped envelopes and also to explain our system in full which was very helpful.

I have five air conditioners which is included in the spring checkup. I thought their price was good and very reasonable. There's nothing I dislike about them. The manager is great and very responsive. If I had a question, he took my call promptly. I always ask for the same guy to come out here and handle everything. He is very considerate and extremely clean. They leave everything just as they found it. Some of my neighbors use them too, so actually that's where I got them from but I didn't know they did roofing. It took a really long time for them to come out but he usually does the spring cleaning. If I ever have an issue, they are out right away.

It was a very satisfactory transaction - we are extremely pleased with our new system. This company does fantastic work, has quality, reliable products, provides amazing customer service and follow-up. Our AC went out in the 100+ Texas heat. We already had an appointment booked for an annual service check. We called to see if we could move up in the queue, and Mr. Erwin was able to work us in. The repairman showed my husband the condition of the components, and indicated he could charge our unit, but due to the age and deterioration of our system, it might not "hold". We opted to charge it and discuss total replacement overnight. Mr. Erwin was correct, the refrigerant charge did not last through the night. We replaced our system - which was near the end of it's life expectancy - and put in an energy efficient system. While the system was not inexpensive, we viewed it as an investment in our home. Mr. Erwin installed the system, new thermostat, provided us with paperwork ready to file for our CPS Energy rebate, and the necessary forms to file with our 2011 Federal Tax Return for the tax credit. It was a turn-key operation. We could not be more pleased

Excellent service. They came out when they promised, were very courteous and did great work for a fair price. I will definitely use them again.

I had my roof done by another company and they had done a bad job. He told me when he came out that it might not solve the problem. I spent $50 on that work. He gave us good information and told us probably what was going to happen. We are fans of his. He is professional, friendly but not overly friendly and does not try to get personal. He is very good with the clean up. I think he is reliable. He has come out every time that we have requested and he has been on time. I would absolutely continue using him in the future.

My overall experience with Mr. Erwin Inc. Company has been excellent. They are very prompt. They come when they say they would be here. They are nice; I really like them. Their price is good. I would use their services in the future.

Have been using Mr. Erwin for years. Didn't know they did roofing.

The total experience was excellent. Fromm beginning to end. The initial servicing was quick and much more reasonably priced than other companies we have used. They removed any hint of having to make an immediate, rush decision and gave us as much and more information than we requested. The quote was thousands of dollars less than the company we had used for service contracts for years. They kept their appointment and work times completely as scheduled. When some extra work was required to address some faulty workmanship on the original house construction installation they took care of it professionally and did not add any costs to the original quoted price. After installation they came out and completely reviewed the equipment procedures including the furnace, AC and thermostat. Price was as quoted, no surprises. After so many years of so many issues arising getting contractors to perform and unpleasant surprises, Mister Erwin was fantastic and I couldnt rate him anyway except the best.

Our a/c stopped cooling over the weekend. We found Mr. Erwin through Angie's List. I decided to go with them after reading that they first try to do what's economical vs. automatically replacing an entire system as others had experienced. They were also able to send someone out earlier than my appointed time, since we were without an a/c. Scott was efficient, helpful and professional--even tutored us on our a/c system and gave us helpful, sensible advice about problems we were experiencing with our a/c ductwork. Within an hour of arriving, Scott had our a/c system back up and running, cooling the house comfortably. We are extremely pleased with Mr. Erwin--he lives up to his reputation on Angie's List!

Mr. Erwin arrived right on time. He was very friendly and took the time to explain everything he was doing. He checked everything he possibly could. The air conditioner worked fine once we turned it back on. It could have been the battery in the termostat. I admire the fact Mr. Erwin didn't invent some costly issue as other companies have done in the past. These guys are first rate, honest and hard working. I highly recommend them.

Great job except they left the gas off of one of the units in the attic. i figured it out myself when it started getting cold.

I have used him before. I had stopped using him for a while and then started using him again. I am very pleased with him. I am scheduled to do my spring and fall inspection. My experience with Mr. Erwin has been very good.

The owner is Mr. Erwin. We called them. They came out the next day and fixed it. We were very happy. They come out and analyze the problems. We had some other problems earlier. They seemed to give us the most efficient bid on it. When they fixed it, it was fixed. They did not have to come back to fix it again. Somebody else wanted to replace the entire system for about $1000. We ended up paying less than $100 for the parts. We were happy with that.

I really trust them to come out and only tell me the work that I need. Their products have been pretty good quality. I replaced the air conditioner with them about two or three years ago and I felt that they gave me a good price on the replacement. The replacement was the only major work that we needed. It is a family owned business and just before I had it replaced the son came out and said that they would give me a good price. They were coming out almost everyday, just before the replacement. The men who have all come out are very nice, professional, and punctual. I think that the price is very good comparatively speaking. I have recommended him to friends of mine.

We have had no problems with Mr. Erwin. They did a good job. Our system works well. Their prices are fair. We thought we needed two units for the size of our house. He has a method of figuring it out, and he said that one was all that we needed. He guaranteed it and said he would come back and do something about it if we needed. He was right, it works fine.
