MASSENGALE ARMATURE WORKS

I went to pick my motor and asked for Steve , But the owner John Massengale stepped in the conversation, I asked why I was told it wasn't worth repairing?. He replied that the motor needed a startup switch and a prop and they could not locate one, that is why
it is not worth repairing. I tried to explain to him the cost of the unit and why it was important to me to repair. Instead he became argumentative and never allowed me to say a word but tried to make me feel uncomfortable and ignorant . I attempted to explain to Mr Massengale that I already had done my research into their company and the company that manufactured the motor since they have been in business for fifty years. I chose them for their expertise in repairing the unit not to destroy it . His only response was  that  things break.  Not once did he try to apologize for the mishap or suggest another facility and split the cost of the repair of the unit. I know things happen at repair facilities but the majority usually take responsibility in the mishaps to keep future repeat business. I was surprised to find Mr Massengale to be so arrogant and aggressive with a new customer. After such a disappointing experience I have no intentions to recommend or return for future business. Massengale Armature Works Inc  should be called Massengale Amateur Works.
