"I'm sorry that we didn't meet your complete satisfaction. If it all possible I would like feedback on what we could have done better? I'm retired military and Punctuality being on time is very important part of the way we try to do business. We are not perfect and any feedback you can provide me to make us a better company I would gladly receive. Mark Mullis, Owner lone Star Tile and Grout Cleaning 210-637-5050"
I find it very sad for Mark ( The Owner) to stoop as low as he did to LIE and accuse me of threatening him with physical violence and using a great deal of profanity! I guess people will say and do anything to try and make themselves look better! Just by reading all his past responses to his complaints, he always tries to make the customer look bad, and trying to defend himself by accusing the customer, (The customer wanted more than he was willing to pay for). I think the complaints he has responded back to speak for themselves, he responed to one customer (I tell customers every day? I don't want your money unless you are happy with our service) If that were true he would NOT have the customers with complaints!!! Bottom line I have a receipt stating my floors and STAIRS which were never completed would have been nice to receive a refund for the STAIRS ,in which he also states in one of his other responses from another complaint (We will never pressure a customer for work) This is the reason he will not finish my job unless we hired him to polish our master bath floor and counters for an additional $5,200.00. In closing i would (BEWARE) never pay this company until job is completed and done to your satisfaction!!!
"Two sides to every story! The customer wanted more than he was willing to pay for and it got to the point that on our last phone conversation he threatening me with physical violence while using a great deal of profanity. Respect is a two way street between the contractor and the homeowner. I for one as a Business owner will not allow a homeowner to treat myself or my employees with disrespect or profanity. We treat our customers with the upmost respect and we expect the same. We do the very best we can to meet our customers expectations as one can tell by reading our other positive reviews. I regret that this interaction with this customer went as poorly as it did and I hope he can find a contractor that lives up to his expectations."
"Thank You for your business and the review! When you get ready to get the Tile and Grout Cleaned in your home give us a call as all of our repeat Angie's List customers receive a total discount %15 off sealing of the grout once everything is cleaned! Have a Great Holiday season!"
Was impressed with the time the owner spent, in answering all questions and or concerns!
"Thank You so much for your review. It was a pleasure earning your business and as an Angie's List member and a repeat customer we will discount any other service you have us provide by 15%! Mark Mullis Owner"
"Don't know who this customer is? We have a minimum service charge of $250. Don't think this was a customer of Lone Star Tile and Grout Cleaning Customer. I have never done a job for $80?"
Well.
Re the recaulking of shower joint lines (i.e., where wall meets the floor or two walls join)--I understood the owner to say they would remove the old grout and refill it with the sanded caulk. When the technician got there, he just applied the caulk right over the grout. I questioned him and was told leaving the old grout in gave the caulk something to stick to... ? I could have done that myself once I knew what material to use.
Re sealing the shower grout, some areas appear sealed. However on areas of the floor and most of the lower walls where the moisture is worst, from the time they sealed it, the grout turned a dark color when bathing which tells me it is absorbing moisture and not properly sealed. I did not call them back because I wasn't impressed with what they did the first time and really didn't feel comfortable having them work it again--besides most probably they would have said that it took two coats and had me pay them for a second layer. I'll just do it myself, so it will get done right. I gave price a "C" because they didn't fully do what I paid them for. If the shower grout had actually been properly sealed, the price would have been reasonable (B).
"Truly sorry that after six months she feels she can't call me to discuss as I would be more than willing to try to resolve the issue. We do the very best we can and never mislead our customers. Sometimes customers want more than they pay for and I always tell customers that if we have to break out our power tools to cut out grout the cost will be more. We are not perfect but we do everything within our power to make the customer happy!"
"Thank You so much for your review and again welcome to San Antonio!"
"I'm sorry that [Member Name] wasn't happy with our work. It was my understanding based off phone calls and email that the area that [Member Name] and I discussed was a new area and not one of the areas that we worked on in her shower. I'm so sorry about my lack of understanding the issue. What can I do to make it right? Mark Mullis Owner"
"[member name removed], I am completely willing to come back out and re-clean and reseal those areas? Maybe the third time will be the charm? I'm truly sorry that we have not met you complete satisfaction. Mark Mullis Owner"
I previously used Lone Star for carpet cleaning, as well as tile and grout cleaning, and have been totally satisfied with their work each time.
Their are cheaper companies but they often low ball their estimates. I definitely recommend Lone Star Tile and Group Cleaning.
