Mr. Brader was careful, conscientious, and thorough, spending more time talking and explaining than I expected. I do feel that, as a result, I know exactly what my HVAC system will need going forward. As a result, I will certainly consider using Jon Wayne for the work.
I think I bought a $139 package.

He told me that the rubber ring was 99 dollars and I had already paid my price for the visit thru you guys. I asked a plumber today and there service is 99 dollars and rubber ring is around 3 or 4 dollars. Kind of feel lied to from the service guy that he misrepresented himself about prices, I a a female not knowing how much plumbing stuff cost so believed him but just seemed like a lot of money not sure whether I would use them again, Feel like by the time I paid you around 30 dollars and paid him 99 dollars that is 130 dollars The plumber I was talking to would have cost me 103 approximately so do not know how cheap it is to use services, except you screen them Thank you for listening.
The repairs made were possibly necessary, but the part that upsets me is the ad says $189 to service the units. No mention that there might be "other costs." I was not shown the replacement parts so I had to take their word that they were bad, (both air units were working prior to the call) He did show me a picture of a rat that had gotten in the outside unit. The fact that I was charged $1,036.00 when I expected $369, (cost of a "deluxe service") was indeed a shock.
I wish now I had referred to Angies list instead of an ad. I will not use them in the future
I suppose my age is the problem. It used to be that you could call a "plumber" to make all types of "plumbing" repairs. Being a senior, I thought I would receive my 10% senior discount, wait about 20-30 minutes, and my toilet would once again function perfectly as it had before. I don't understand these new methods of pricing which may not be, but appear unscrupulous to some of us.
My recommendation is to only use Jon Wayne for major AC/Heating system purchases, but hire a handyman for minor repairs.
Another representative, Christina, made the appointment and then followed up with a reminder of the appointment. Because of an unforeseen complication with the appointment before me, Christina called to inform the plummer was running late, but would advise me as soon as he was coming. She was very pleasant and helpful with the whole situation.
Great job by good people
tA/C went out in the house. I received a quote from one company and decided to get a second quote since we were talking over $6,000. Called at 0730 and was told they would get someone out there by 1100 and they would call before arrival. I left my work number and cell number. At 1030 I called and asked for a status and was told that the technician was finishing up and would be leaving for my address soon. I told the representative on the phone to ensure they call my cell number since I was leaving my office. She said she would annotate that. At 1130 I called and asked for a status since I have not heard anything from the technician. I was told he was held up at the job and finishing up soon. I again told the representative to ensure they call my cell number. 1230 comes and I again called to ask for a status. I was told that the technician was running late and that the next available technician will be sent to my address. 1300 comes and I called AGAIN for a status since it is now 2 hours past my scheduled time. The representative on the phone told me that she called my office and left a message and the cell phone number she called said "service unavailable". I asked if she tried the number again and she stated "they are too busy for call numbers back and move on". I was very upset by this comment since I have made every effort to ensure I could be reached. I asked to speak with the manager and she stated "there are a few managers". I then asked her "could I speak to at least one of them?" I spoke with a manager and told the above situation and stated I was not impressed with the way everything has played out and the comments made by the representative. He apologized and said he would call me back in just a few minutes to see if he could get the next technician out. When he called back he said that a technician would be finishing up in 10-15 minutes and be heading to my address. I asked if he was in the local area and he stated he was on the other side of town (45 minute drive). At this point I was just fed up with the wasted time and the complete lack if interest in a potential customer. I figured I would be treated better for the amount of money I was going to be spending.
I have decided to go with the first company since they have bent over backwards to ensure I was happy...even spoke directly to the owner on a few occasions!
I feel as though John Wayne takes advantage of emergency situations by price gouging on the service call. Since we were in a desperate situation we had the repair done.
We will not use them in the future.
