$230
My Dad left an ipad to get a new battery at the Stone Oak location at the beginning of December to the tune of $230. When he picked it up the ipad turned on, but then once it was home, it died again and would not turn back on. He took it back to the store and they called him to tell him it had water damage. (Though it's never been near water and they didn't "find" it with the battery repair.) They finally called on Christmas Eve to tell him that it was ready, when he called back on the 26th they told him it wasn't actually quite ready, they needed to do some checks on it. I called twice, my mom called, and yes, my Dad called. FINALLY when I went in on Wednesday with him to find out what was going on, I was informed that the ipad had been sent to the San Pedro location and that I could talk to the manager there. I talk to one person who gave me the song and dance of water damage again and then I talked to the manager. I was informed that as soon as you walk out the door, there is no warranty on their battery, so my Dad must have done something to the ipad within the days he got home... the "water damage" happened when he got home too by the way. These folks are complete crooks. When I asked the guy why he would charge a senior $230 plus whatever he WAS going to charge for water damage (I assured them we would not be paying any more) when he could buy a new one for $350 at Costco, he said that it was their job to repair them and that he'd be out of a job if he told people it was a wiser decision to buy a new device. He actually had the nerve to tell me that my car mechanic would do the same thing instead of telling me to buy a new car. (I assured him that my awesome Mechanic would NEVER have me make a repair that wasn't in my best interest.) The manager also told me that if he had that conversation with every customer that came in his store, it would take 5-10 minutes per customer and he didn't have that kind of time. Oh. My. I was told that magically the ipad would be ready for me to pick up that night or the following morning and I had them assure me that it would be working. (Now almost 2 months later.) It was. So... dropped of at the Stone Oak (Evans and 281) location and then was sent to San Pedro. DO NOT use Dr. Phonez for anything more than a quick screen repair as apparently that's the only thing they can get good reviews on.

Great, fully-functioning phone was damaged beyond repair. My Note 5 was working perfectly except for a battery that was starting to drain quickly. Since I was leaving the country and needed a phone with me, I stopped in to see if there was anything they could do. The reps at Dr. Phonez said they could easily replace the battery by the end of day. The phone was not ready when I returned, and a few hours later I was told there was a problem and they’d need to keep the phone until the following week when a second tech would be in to look at it. I asked to have it back, and learned the first tech had damaged the phone. Not only was the case of the phone “chewed up,” the phone itself was damaged and would no longer work. The rep knew I was leaving town before the second tech would be in to confirm the extent of damage, but did not offer a loaner phone or any kind of replacement. Not having any other option, I spent most of the following day looking for a comparable replacement. It’s been six weeks. I’ve spoken numerous times with the company- both to the reps working at the store and the area manager, who was in contact with the owner over the incident. I submitted receipts as requested, but in the end had to call the store several times to find out that the owner (out of the country and only accessible by email) would only agree to reimburse me for the $250 book value of the phone, even though the replacement cost to me, after paying off the original phone and purchasing the replacement, was well over $1100. I am extremely disappointed in Dr. Phonez. First, there is no excuse that the company’s technicians did not possess the skill to replace a battery. They could not even open the shell without damaging it, then damaged the internals of my phone beyond repair. Second, the fact that I had to pay (replacement cost of phone, time, and lost photos), for their negligence- the owner wouldn’t stand by his company enough to reimburse what this cost me, is beyond belief… says a lot about the integrity of this organization.

Very busy place.  Had to wait about twenty minutes for walk in.  Some employees had a bit of an attitude but others were just fine...

This was the second repair that I had done by Dr. Phonez. The previous one was on another iPhone 5s that my wife gave to me after she cracked her screen, too. However, the screen had cracked they said due to a swollen battery that also needed replacing. So I replaced both and am now using the 5s as my own phone. I had considered getting a new phone, but the iPhone 6s are too large to fit in my front pocket. The repaired 5s works just fine and still fits into my front pocket. This repair also took about an hour, maybe slightly more. They were very prompt in giving me a call when it was finished.

They were fast and fixed screen as promised, however, the screen broke again twice within a few month and was replaced several times.  After the second Dr. Phonez screen was broken, I took the phone to the Apple store and had them repair it with a higher quality screen. I suspect the quality of the repaired screen is much less than the Apple replacement.  For future breaks, I will always go back to Apple store and pay $30 more.

I had accidentally left my phone on top of my car while I was strapping my 2 yr old in her seat. I went back, and found the phone. It worked but the screen was all cracked up.
I first called T-Mobile to see if they could fix it since I do have insurance for it. Turns out it is a $175.00 deductible. That was too much for a found that works in all I needed was the screen. I had to weigh my options: Get a new iPhone 5s for $175, or repair it for less. I decided to get it repair.
I check the Internet to see if their was a service who can do this, and how much it was. Dr. Phonez came up on the search and was recommended by Angie's List and others. So I went there the next day.
I got around 1100. There were two females behind the counter, and they greeted me as soon as I came in. I told them what I was there for and one of them stated it will be $69.00. I was cool with that because I saw that advertise on their site. She then told me that it will take about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to fix. Again, I was cool with that. I had my 2 year old with me so, I figure we will recon the area (North Star mall and El Pollo Loco).
By the time I finished looking around, it was after 1500. When I arrived back to Dr. Phonez, the clerk went back to the work area to get my phone. The phone looked like new. I was a happy camper when I saw it. She even suggested to by a case for it for $10. I had no problem with since the other one was destroyed.
The staff were very professional. I have no complaints. I would go back there if anything happen to my phone, and I would recommend the shop to anyone who need their phone repaired.

The phone repair went great.  I dropped the phone off at about 11:00am, so, when they told me it would be ready in about 45 minutes, I chose to remain in the vicinity while they were working on the phone.  when I had waited almost an hour, I checked on the progress and they said it would be another hour, so I decided to go have lunch and come back. (The Dr. Phonez site is about 20 miles from my home and I figured that I could have a nice, liesurely lunch and then come back for the phone.)  Well, as it turns out, the phone wasn't ready until almost 3:00pm.    So, their ability to estimate how long it takes to do repairs may not be that great or they may have worked on other phones that came in after mine before getting to mine; however, whatever the cause, the repair took a lot longer than their initial estimate.
The staff was really courteous and friendly and the public area of their business is very clean, well lit, and furnished with some comfortable couches for people who are waiting for their phones to be repaired.  The location I used (there are 4 in San Antonio) is located near a shopping mall, so, if they could more accurately estimate the time to repair, one could run shopping errands (in fact, no matter what they estimate, I'd suggest a visit to the mall because you will probably get back in time for the phone to be ready ;-).

Well third time is a charm. I went in on Tuesday Julie was very friendly and knowledgeable but knew they wouldn't be able to get to my phone before close of day and asked I come back the next day before 6:15 pm. I returned on Wednesday @ 5:40 the girl was helping someone so when she got to me it was 5:57 pm, when I explained how I was there the day before she just flat out told me that Julie shouldn't of promised me anything and they were out of screens. To come back but call first.....naturally I was p***** off so I took a day to cool off. I returned on Friday (called of course didn't want to waste my time) thankfully Julie was working with her pleasant smile and friendly attitude, she asked if I could please get there before 5:30 to ensure they get to my phone since I had been trying for a good part of the week to fix it. I arrived at 5:05 pm and was able to wait for them to complete the work. They honored the 10% discount coupon from Angie's List. So I am very happy.....great job to the tech and Julie....the other girl needs to learn some manners or find a job where she doesn't deal with people.....I went to the location in the Forum not the San Pedro location.

Not great, it was more expensive than i thought it would be, and they gave me back the wrong ipad, and did not notice or call for several days, at which point they wanted to charge me more money. the screens were repaired well, and quickly, and the staff was friendly enough.

They attempted to repair an iPhone that had fallen into water.  The initial diagnostic fee was reasonable enough for us to allow them to attempt a full repair.  While the damage turned out to be beyond a total repair, they were able to get the phone functional enough until we could other arrangements.  They were very prompt to provide updates along the process, ensuring they had our input before performing any service.

Only went to Dr. Phonez because of their reviews and grade here but was still cautious as I had just broken the glass on a 2 month old Nokia 1020.

Naz was incredibly helpful over the phone when I called.  While they had the glass in stock for my son's Galaxy and the cost was reasonable ($125), the Nokia glass had to be ordered.  2 days later, I got a call and brought both phones in.

In about 2 1/2 hours they had replaced the glass on my son's Galaxy S3 perfectly and my Nokia looked as good as new.  I was surprised by how well the phones had been repaired, but was completely happy with the fact that the 1020 looked like it came out of the factory.

So while I was skeptical, that the $300 for the Nokia would be worth it, the fact is I had to get it repaired and I will only go back to Dr. Phonez if I ever need another repair.

My husband likes them. They did a great job. He liked the fact that if they look and they're not able to fix it, they'd let him know. They were honest. They said, "It's probably really easy to fix," and it was. My husband had no complaints.
