Adrian Galvan was referred to us by a number of associates and friends. Immediately upon meeting Adrian, we had a warm and genuine feel about him. He was very knowledgeable and helped us understand the difference between hiring an interior designer or a decorator. Over the course of a year, we hired him for 3 Phases of the Project. First, was a fireplace facelift to redesign the fireplace which was a central and key focal point of the room. Adrian helped was very good about listening to both me and my husband as we did have some difference of opinion about design, style and colors. Adrian helped us work through and come to compromises on what would work best for us. He also suggested we get a new fireplace mantel from reclaimed wood which he found examples of a place in Austin. We found the right piece for us. All along the way at various decision points working with the contractor on tile placement, mantel placement, grout color and other details, Adrian was there to return our calls, review pictures and guide our decision-making process.

We continued this same collaborative approach for Phase II which was to replace the carpet in the living, dining rooms and foyer with re-engineered hickory flooring. We also selected new baseboards and had them installed too. The biggest help in addition to selecting the right floor for us was analyzing the contractor bids and comparing the labor costs, materials, etc. We had a lot of questions and he helped us steer through much of them.

Finally, Phase 3 was repairing the cracks in the walls and ceilings from foundation damage; and repainting and adding new crown molding in some areas. Again, Adrian helped us work through a color scheme, accent walls, etc. This final phase included researching and shopping for curtains and other details such as metal trim and lighting.
