The CutRite team did an absolutely beautiful job! They were prompt, friendly and a great value. My yard looks better than it has ever looked! I have hired them to maintain my landscape and lawn on an ongoing basis.

Cut-Rite ruined our lawn I am amending my original review of Cut-Rite lawn service. We hired Billy to put in a drip irrigation system and new sod in the front yard. We also had new sod and a river rock drainage system placed in the back yard. Total cost was approximately $12,000. We also payed Cut-Rite for lawn maintenance for 3 years. I gave the company glowing reviews. The main reason Billy sold us on the services of Cut-Rite was when he said that he walks every property at least once a month to make sure the lawns are being properly maintained. There is no way that is true, at least not with our yard. We relayed our displeasure about the condition of our yard many times to the maintenance crew who then took pictures and called Billy while at our house. The crew knew right away we had grub worms and a fungus. They also told us that Cut-Rite has been “losing clients left and right.” Billy has made nothing but excuses; -we called Cut-Rite to speak with him and were told he was at the nursery. When we called him again, Billy claimed to be out of town. -had been told Bob Jenkins pest control was coming to spray our yard for grub worms. They never showed. -had been told crews were coming on certain mornings to fix the lawn. They never showed. When we called to ask why, we were told they didn’t have the correct chemicals for our lawn. When he did finally come walk the property, he sent us a proposal for new sod at OUR cost of approximately $5,000. We were floored. What we thought was a dedicated full service lawn company turned into “mow, blow and go” typical yard guys. We basically payed this company thousands of dollars to end up right where we started 3 years ago. Cut-Rite let our business slip through the cracks and the pictures are what we are left with.

The quality of the job was top notch. The yard looked great. However, the price is severely inflated. This was our bad since we did not research the pricing and get price quotes. Their point man, Billy, seemed very knowledgeable and professional at first meeting. Then his true colors came out. After both jobs were completed, each at a cost of over $7K, we had texted Billy on a Friday evening because our swimming pool was full of debris. We had used a group text that only included Billy, my wife, and I only for situational awareness. We were very upset as our oldest daughter's prom was the following night and she had coordinated for her friends to come over and swim. Billy's first response was very curt and denied responsibility. Then he told my wife we were "too old for group texts." With that, I had to stop cleaning the pool and intervene. He apologized and came over personally to apologize. He also tried to make things right, but we could not find a pool service to come out and clean on short notice. I ended up needing to replace the DE Filter grid and have my pool maintenance company come out for extra cleaning visits. Cut-Rite reimbursed us for that which was the right thing to do. We were planning to use them for monthly maintenance, but with this break in professionalism and the prices, we are going to go with someone else. Example of pricing: 17 mm drip line (500 ft) @ $1.39 per foot. I asked why so high, and their response was it included the labor of installing. I was also charged an additional $1K for 11 hrs of labor). BOTTOM LINE: Do your research first for large jobs like these

Cut-Rite reworked our backyard beds, replacing mulch with stone, adding both blooming and non-blooming plants. Also added needed dirt and sod in areas, aerated and fertilized some areas, and updated irrigation Owner Billy Hovestadt prepared the plan and bid; we were happy with both. He did not suggest new or re-arranged beds, instead working with those already established. Two weeks later plants are already blooming. We are very happy with both the plan and the professionalism with which his crews executed the plan.

I put Billy and his team a little under the gun, needed some work done quickly before we listed our house. We had 37 yards of custom dyed mulch delivered and laid down quickly. He and the crew came through with flying colors. As always, his communication with you is excellent, and the work is always great. We’ve worked with Cut Rite for 8 years and have never been disappointed.

Cut-Rite Lawn Management created a beautifully designed landscaped retreat for me. I am so pleased with the end result of the work, attention to the smallest of details and the level of professionalism by all employees. The owner, Billy Hovestadt hand picked all plants both in ground and those planted in pots in such a way as to provide color and texture to the landscaping design. He even considered the color and size of the pots. Landscape lighting was added to highlight and create a relaxing ambiance for my new retreat. The irrigation system installed will make things much easier as I no longer need to worry about trying to find the time to setup sprinklers or water by hand. Who wants to do that? Not me! Previously, I had a problem with flooding in the front yard when it would rain. Mr. Hovestadt solved the problem for me by working a solution into the landscape design that included stones in a complimentary color to my house. About the time that the project was almost finished, I shared with Mr. Hovestadt that I wanted to purchase patio furniture but just wasn't sure what style would look best. He made a few suggestions and I purchased a set. The day the set arrived, one of his crew members offered to set it up for me. Great customer service! I love that I can come home from a long, stressful day and relax in my own personalized landscaped retreat!

My backyard was in bad shape after years of poor quality service from multiple companies I had hired. I brought in Billy and his team and I was impressed from the first consultation. I have NEVER had a job like this go off without a hitch until now. They made a plan and executed it flawlessly. I couldn't be happier with the results and interactions with the team along the way. 10 September 2018. My appreciation to Cut-Rite Lawn Management in handling my landscape project from design to installation. After my initial consultation with Mr. Billy H., we came up with a suitable design and installation plan based on our wishes, new plant beds, selection of plants, tree trimming, tree transplant, 250 feet stone edging (front/back yard), river rock, and mulch throughout, power-wash of driveway/street and irrigation system check. Despite intermittent heavy rain, the Cut-Rite crew were customer friendly, professional, and worked very hard to finish the project in a timely fashion. Kudos to the crew for their energies in creating the design come to life! All my questions were promptly addressed and Mr. Billy H. gave sound advice and consultation. Throughout the entire process, we trusted Cut-Rite in their field of expertise in lawn management. We will recommend Cut-Rite Lawn to friends, co-workers, and family. We are happy with the results and will reap the benefits of seeing beautiful plant beds and stone edging for many years. This experience has been worth the cost in beautifying our home. My yard always looks great, properly manicured, hedges and bushes trimmed correctly, lawn maintained great, and beds mulched well. Billy is personable and right on top of everything. In addition to routine service, we have used CutRite for our outdoor lighting, and it has really enhanced the look of our property.

Went great! Billy and his crew were amazing and very well priced. We purchased 3 90gal white oaks and they look beautiful! Grass doesn’t even look like there was any work done in the yard. They took great care and were all very professional. They even added bubbler lines to our existing irrigation system.

This is the second time I contracted Cut-Rite to re-landscape my front yard. Billy, the owner, is an expert landscape designer. His employee are also professionals in landscaping the yard in accordance with Billy’s landscaping design. His company will do everything required to make a yard the highlight of the neighborhood, e.g. mowing and edging, trimming bushes and trees, planting new flowers, fertilization, leaf removal, etc. I sincerely believe Cut-Rite is head and shoulders above the competition. I strongly recommend Cut-Rite to any one who wants to have an outstanding landscaping yard for home or business.

We were extremely pleased with the service provided by this company. Billie came by promptly and listened to our needs and made helpful suggestions. He accompanied his crew the first day to make sure they understood the scope of the work and came by at the end to inspect. His crew was very professional and did a great job. Billy’s crews consistently do outstanding work. He’s done all my yard and lawn maintenance for about 4 years. Topsoiled and aerated my lawn this week. He provided a thick layer of his proprietary top soil and mulch and my zoysia thrives on it. My backyard can tolerate a lot of dog and human foot traffic in the Texas hill country heat because of his maintenance. His crews don’t skimp and they do everything top notch. Very pleased!

Billy Hovestadt, and Cut-Rite did an excellent job. The arrived the day the job was scheduled to begin, and worked diligently with a large crew until the job was complete. Billy kept me informed of any issues as they arose. I only wish more contractors could operate in this manner.

The Cut-Rite team did a great job with the removal and installation of the new plants and river rock. The team communicated well throughout the project and kept everything clean during the project. We were talking about power washing the sidewalks as soon as they were done, but on the last day they power washed everything. The price was fair and the execution was excellent. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.
