We have used County Wide for years for twice-yearly air conditioning checks and have been very satisfied. When we found out that the duct work was so bad that another company told us we would be wasting our money to clean the ducts, we knew the ducts would need to be replaced. County Wide drew up professional plans and explained every part of the procedure. In addtion, they re-positioned the return air filter for better flow and installed a state-of-the-art thermostat. They took pictures of the old duct work and submitted a report to CPS. As a result, we received a $1500 rebate from CPS. Even in the hotest month of August, we noticed our electric bill went down $40. Good service!

He inspected the duct work and the overall system. He measured the living space. Then he gave some simple recommendations to improve the efficiency of the system and finally gave my landlord an estimate for further repairs or enhancements. My cost: $0.

The service personnel were careful and polite, and did an excellent job. Instructions were given on maintenance of the new equipment, and programming the digital thermostat. Overall - very satisfied.

I found Country Wide on Angie's List and called. They told me they could have a service tech out within a couple of hours and would call me when he was on his way. As promised, they called an hour and 15 minutes later to say that the tech was on his way and he arrived 10 minutes later. Edgar, the tech, was professional and courteous. It took him only 30 minutes to identify and fix the problem and the A/C was quickly working fine again. They were happy to accept the Angie's List coupon I had printed out. An excellent experience with a superior company. We will continue to use them!

The only thing that kept me from giving them an A was a mix up with a tech on the appointment time. I'm not exactly sure what happened on their end, but here's a rough timeline of events: 10:00 PM (day prior to service): called and left a message regarding broken unit. 7:20 AM (day of service): received a call stating that they would try to get a tech to my house this morning, most likely between 8:00 - 8:30, but definitely before 10:00 AM. 8:50 AM: received a call saying a tech would arrive in 15 - 20 mins. 9:45 AM: called them to find out what's going on. They had cancelled my appointment because of some mess up with the first tech, who said I wanted to cancel the service. Huh? I never spoke to a tech, so I honestly don't know what happened here. I told them I still needed someone to come out, so they "re?"-scheduled me. 9:55 AM: got a call from someone (a manager?) who apologized for the mix up and said a tech would arrive in 20 - 30 minutes. 10:50 AM: got a call from the tech; he's lost, but only about 5 minutes from my house. 10:55 AM: tech arrives; he is very professional. Appropriately diagnoses and corrects the issue, finishes everything and is gone by 12:15 PM. Approximate Bill: Parts - $66 Labor - $158 Tax - $5 Angie's List Discount ($20 ;-) As I mentioned, I really did not have a problem with the price or service...once the tech got here. I would use this company again, and I believe they were very responsive (after all, they scheduled me and got my A/C back up and running within 14 hours of my initial phone call). My only complaint is with the odd ghostlike appointment "cancellation." Also, I wish they would just be honest with a time estimate - if it's going to take a tech an hour to get to my house just say so. I've already had to take off from work, so I'd rather just have someone tell me it'll take an hour...and have it take an hour.

Technician did not mind if I watched the service call and did not mind my questions. Our A/C stopped cooling, in the wee hours of Friday evening/Saturday morning. I called them at 7:30, and they had someone to our house by 8:30. He checked the system, determined the capacitor had stopped working, went and got a replacement, and fixed it. We have a service agreement with them, so we paid only for the labor (the part was under warranty). We've used them before; they're always very responsive; well worth a long-term relationship.

I called to schedule my service on a Friday and they got me scheduled for the following Monday morning. The technician showed up on time and was very polite and professional. During the servicing, he found a weak capacitor on the inside unit and told me it should be replaced. I'm always a little suspicious when contractors tell me something needs replaced, but after a quick search on the internet, I found that the consequences for not replacing this part could be serious and that the price he quoted me was within fair price ranges charged by other companies. The only thing I wish the company would do different is offer appointments at specific times rather than "morning" or "afternoon," since I usually have to take time off work to get servicing.

I have an annual service agreement with them. It costs me $120 annually. I like them because they call me and remind me that it is time for a service. They come out promptly. They put in a new system for me, which was relatively painless. They have taken care of it since then and I have not had any problems with it. I was happy with their service and the installation. The salesman gave me a lot of information because of which I felt a lot more knowledgeable and thereby, more comfortable with his recommendation. I will stay with them in the future as well.

The job itself was done but the technician was over an hour late (left work early to meet him). I thought the cost of the thermostat and the labor to replace it were exhorbinant but I already had to pay the $80 service charge for them to come out so I went ahead with it anyway. The technician was not outright rude but was certainly not customer-centric.

We have been using them for years. I am very satisified with them. We have a contract with them where they come out twice a year for service. They come out when they say they are going to come out. The appear to check everything. They don't over charge or do anything that doesn't need to be done. They are efficient, clean, and neat. I will continue using them.

Tim came out to find out why my AC was completely dead. They came the same day I called (actually came out twice in one day since it was raining during the first attempt). Tim found the problem which was a burnt fuse and quickly replaced it. They charge 80 bucks to come see what the problem is. After using my Angie's List coupon, it got chopped down to 60. Whole visit probably took 15 minutes. Tim was gracious and showed me exactly what he did to fix the problem. Great overall experience.

They are a pretty big company so they are always available. The electricians from County Wide did a great job so far. They are great at quick fixes. They are very responsive and quick. I am pretty happy with the service they have given.

We had used them previously in another home. (They also came in on short notice last year when a different company wanted to to perform repair work to the tune of $4000- they gave us a second opinion, which was that we did not need it-they were right!!) About 2 weeks after the service, the upstairs unit stopped working. Countywide came right out, and figured out that a service door screw had popped out after the inspection, causing the unit to shut down. They took ownership of the issue, and there was no charge. A few days ago, we noticed the downstairs unit was not cooling properly. Again, they came right out-added a pound of refrigerant, again, no charge since we had just had it serviced. Both times, they could have easily charged us for the visit--but did not. At this point, they have probably lost $$ on us...but we will continue to use and recommend them. I have no idea why we even called a different company last year!! Honest, reliable, on time service!!

AC failed in half the house (2 zones) w/heat index of 102 that day. Called on Sunday at 2pm. Scheduler said that 4-430 would be possible. Scheduler called back at 4pm to say tech was on the way. At 415 the tech was here. Quickly diagnosed a bad relay contactor (ants had shorted out and clogged.) Had a can of insecticide to prevent more ants. Replaced contactor and serviced both units while he was here per my request. Tim was knowledgeable and professional.

Operator was friendly and knowlegable. I was surprised to find out they do not charge extra for weekend calls. I called on a Saturday morning and they were at my front door that afternoon. Tech was very professional, friendly and easy to talk to. He did not try to sell me extra services and took the time to explain to me my A/C problem in layman's terms. Great visit overall.

I GOT RIPPED OFF BY COUNTY WIDE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I got my $10,000 problem fixed for $60. I called the company to complain. My phone calls to the County Wide Managers were not returned. My next option will be to file a Fraud Complaint with the Texas Attorney General. I got copies of both reports as proof of this fraud.

I called at about 7:30 a.m. and asked for service. Also said I could not have someone come before 10:30 a.m because of a prior appointment. At exactly 10:30 the tech called and was on his way. After a short time of troubleshooting he determined the problem was ants in the compressor; he cleaned out the dead ants and treated area around compressor with insecticide. Also checked freon; said it was fine. He asked if I wanted other unit (for downstairs) checked; I said yes. He also checked to see if filters were clean; they were.
