My water heater went out on Sunday and I started researching through Angies List the different plumbers who put in water heaters in San Antonio. I had called 7 different contractors and had 2 of them come and look at the water heater on Monday. The water heater was 15 years old and needed to be replaced. I got quotes from all 7 and Bryco had the lowest price and offered to install a Rheem Water Heater (40 gallon/natural gas). On Tuesday Bryco sent two very professional plumbers (DJ and Ryan) and they showed up at 1100 and were done installing by 1241. They offered a 1 year warranty for labor and the Rheem Warranty is for 6 years on the Tank and parts. Quick, proficient, affordable and friendly. Thank you Bryco!

Unlike many plumbing problems, this was not an emergency but Bryco gave me quick appointment for two days after I called. The crew chief, named Woody, and an assistant arrived on time and ready to work Woody evaluated the site and briefed me on the work to be done. He was knowledgeable, pleasant, professional and obviously determined to do a good job. He did not disappoint. Early in the process he encountered an unexpected and unusual complication. Without missing a beat, he took control of the situation and solved the problem with skill and professional efficiency. He is to be commended for his technical knowledge and skill as well as his management ability in solving an unusual and stressful problem without leaving any undesirable consequences. Additionally, the job was physically challenging because the site was cramped and hard to access . The previous installation was extremely old and was buried deeper than usual. Woody fashioned a network of pipes and joints that overcame the deficiencies of the previous installation and resulted in a top notch job. The finished product is technical sound and functional. It took less time to complete than expected and at a fair price, especially considering the unusual challenges. Woody's performance was outstanding and I thank Bryco for sending him on this job.

Have been using this company for about 20 years. We still talk to other companies and always choose Bryco.The water softener was installed in just under two hours. Work site was clean and neat during and after the the job. A valve to turn off all interior water was added. This was a pleasant and unexpected feature; now we can eliminate water to kitchen and all bathrooms when away for vacation. Price was a flat cost per hour plus materials. Bryco's final price was 1/3 less that the installation price quited by the major department store/appliance retailer who sold the water softener. They showed up on time and did the replacing quickly and without leaving any mess behind . All of my toilets now flush and do not "run".

First off from the time I was giving a estimate the provider was willing to work with my time schedule. On the first day of the process 2 guys,(Carlos & Simon) showed up with some impressive equipment. They walked through my home and explained everything that was going to be done.Everyday that they were here (approx 9 hours X 5 days) they cleaned up their work area and left my home as clean as they possible could. There were a few hiccups along the way, but nothing that was too major. When a problem did arise Carlos responded in a courteous and professional manner. I think they got tired of me asking a thousand question, but they seemed like they were looking for answers. They were diligent in work performed. I would not hesitate to use Bryco/CURAFLO plumbing in the future!

They had come the month before to replace an upstairs water heater and I was pleased with their professionalism and the fact that they charge $100 per hr and then by the 1/2 hr. I am almost 5 miles outside 1604 so they charge a fuel surcharge. They also charge 15 minutes of drive time off the hour, but I am not sure if that is a 15 min. "coming out" fee or 15 minutes each way. This month when they came out is when I felt uneasy. Basically, the pilot light would not stay lit on a second/different water heater. Another pair of guys came out and one of them said the pilot light would not stay on because of the water leak that had appeared in the drain pan. He deemed it a tank failure. The water heater was 2 years old and still under warranty. What made my husband uneasy when I told him later is that he had noticed the pan had been dry and empty during his days of attempts to relight it. The repair guy basically opened the door to the water heater, saw there was NOW water in the pan and concluded that the pilot light had not been able to stay lit because of the standing water in the pan, which meant it needed to be replaced. My husband was out of town so I didn't learn until later that there had been zero water leaking for days, so water didn't actually appear to be why the pilot light would not stay lit. The repair guy left within 25-30 minutes tops. He could have connected a hose to drain the water heater while he was there since he was going to charge me for the full hour anyway, but, alas, he didn't. The next day two other of their repair guys came out. They were there roughly an hour and a half. They charged for 2 hours. I think they had to add 15 minutes of drive time for one way or maybe 30 minutes of drive time for both ways, I'm not sure since I have since forgotten which he said and it is not on my paperwork. Nevertheless, whatever their policy and added drive time fee was, my gut did trust these second day guys. They tried to make me happy when I pointed out that they billed it all on one invoice, but charged me as if they were 2 different trips (a one hr fee for the 25-30 minutes they were there on the first day, and then a 2 hour fee for the second day). I had given them two coupons, since I had not gotten any 1/2 hr credit and felt I'd been charged as if they were two different trips. He did call his office cuz he was a good guy and he wanted me to be a happy customer. The guy he talked to on the other end said he could offer me a different coupon, but he could not apply the two $15 coupons for the two trips. I appreciated the attempt to make me happy by my repair guy. Nevertheless, I do think sharing my experience might be helpful to someone else.

I gave specific instructions for the service call by using the Bryco website. They did a terrific job!

A Consumer Service through my insurance company referred Bryco Plumbing Co. to replace a faucet on my bathroom sink. I was called by Bryco Plumbing the same day as the referral and they scheduled a time for the very next day. On the day of the scheduled maintenance, the office called to inform me that I was not forgotten and that a plumber would arrive shortly. Woody and Billy arrived within the originally scheduled time. Upon their arrival, they introduced themselves and were very polite and professional. I showed them the sink and provided the faucet I wanted replaced. They also brought the supply lines required to replace the old ones. Woody noticed my toilet was taking longer to re-fill and asked if I would also like to have it fixed by placing a fill valve while the faucet was being replaced by Billy. He had the part to fix it and told me I would only be charged an additional $12. I agreed to have it fixed. Once the jobs were completed, Woody explained each amount for which I was being charged. I also asked approximately how much it would cost to change faucets and fix toilets for two other bathrooms for which he took the time to provide me with an estimate. I was overjoyed with the completed projects! I thank Woody and Billy for the whole experience was a great relief after one bad experience with another company. I plan to contact Bryco Plumbing Co. again soon with hopes that Woody and Billy are the ones assigned to the job!

A driver lost controf of their car and ran over a drain line washout pipe in our front yard. They quickly sent someone out to survey the damage and provide an estimate. They arrived as scheduled for the repair quickly completed the job. They did a thorough job and the price was very reasonable. They were very professional and punctual. I will use them again.

Plumber showed up, greeted me politely and professionally, and took care of the problem quickly and efficiently. When we were settling up, I mentioned that I'd found the company on Angie's List and was impressed by the reviews I found there. He pointed out that there was a coupon on Angie's List and patiently waited while I pulled up the website, got my printer up and running, and printed the coupon. Overall great service made even better by pointing out a way for me to save money. I'm thrilled to have found a plumber who doesn't try to talk me into service contracts and use scare tactics to up-sell services and instead just does what needs to be done for a fair and reasonable price. I will be calling Bryco again the next time I'm in need of plumbing services.

Was told they were too busy and were not taking on new jobs. I had used this company for over 10 years and this is how they treat their faithful customers!

Was quoted over the phone 100/ hr + supplies and approx 8 hrs to complete the job. Johnny and Tony showed up at 9:50 and immediately started. They were both well dressed and completely professional. The job took 7.5 hrs plus materials. Fair, honest and capable. I had rec'd a quote from another highly rated company for (drumroll) 2400.00!!!. Hire a plumber by the hour. Stay away from the ones who use any form of "menu pricing" Ex: (charge 250.00 to replace a sink fixture). Wishing everyone at Bryco all the best this Christmas season.

This company epitomizes the saying, "small but mighty". Office staff took the information on the problem and a technician was dispatched the next day (the clogged sink happened Sunday night and I called Monday morning, so I did not expect a technician that day, plus they willingly worked around my work schedule). Alfred was prompt and provided the official company business card with his full name on it (no guessing who the technician is). He further explained that should you, the customer, be enroute to home and not there when the technican arrives, the company gives you 10 minutes to arrive and then calls you. A business card is always left in the door if the appointment does not materialize. Alfred diagnosed the problem, explained the price and what he was going to do, and fixed the clogged sink and drain. On top of that, I was given a most welcome tutorial on plumbing, why certain problems happen and how to avoid them. That alone was well worth the price of the call. This company has its act together.....very understanding and professional from beginning to end. Good people.

Bryco provided the plumbing services for our bathroom addition. Work included the tie-in to the sewer line to our septic, rough-in plumbing, tie-in to the existing water lines, routing to the new bathroom fixtures, tub/shower installation, vanity, and toilet. They were efficient and professional, and we were pleased with their expert services.

Alfred and Josh were here within the time frame promised. They were very professional and did the work promptly. Since Bryco charges by the hour, the cost was way, way less than the $500 amount that a plumber from another company (A-rated in Angie' List) quoted for the same job. If you are offered a "free" quote from another company, ask if they work on commission. It could save you a lot of money. I will continue to use Bryco in the future for sure.

Upon discovering a leak in the main water line leading to my house, I called Bryco Plumbing to see if they could provide a service person on the same day. Within about one hour Bryco dispatched Alfred Orosco and his assistant Josh. Upon arrival they immediately went to work digging and then locating the leak which was in a difficult to get to area beneath a retaining wall. It was a muddy, messy job of removing grass, a large plant and several feet of soil just to get to the pipe. Alfred showed me the actual leak and explained what he would do to fix it in such a way that it would not recur. In just a few hours they were finished, restoring the grass and soil to its original state and cleaning the whole area. Both Alfred and Josh were very courteous and professional. I highly recommend them for any plumbing job!
