"I was actually going to stop by the day I initially spoke to (removed member name). She informed me that would not be possible due to unforeseen circumstances on their part. I stopped by any way to do a visual inspection of the gate latch she said was not working properly. I waited to hear back from them. About a month elapsed and I was contacted by (removed member name). I informed him that I didn't see anything wrong with the gate, latch or operation of either. I felt it didn't need to be serviced at this time. I suggested he ask for a refund."
I had used Black Pearl before and considered them very professional and I liked their work.I am sure they are still good at what they do, and I understand that they are probably very busy. BUT they kept me waiting for weeks for an estimate that I never got. He should have let me know from the beginning that they were not doing their work and not waste my time.
"The big deal clearly stated that it was not intended for fences requiring major repairs. (removed member name) expected us to fix a fence and repair gates that in my opinion need to be completely replaced. We do not do complete fence replacements."
"I repaired the gate. It was not new. I replaced the pickets but never received the additional cost (removed member name) agreed to pay. I did exactly what he asked. His fence needs to be completely rebuilt."

"Mr. (removed member name) informed me that he had done some minor repairs on his own. He was out of town for some time. We had agreed to use the maintenance package on his daughter's fence. He was under the impression that he had purchased services that were not listed. He received a full refund in lieu of the work being performed by us with no issues. When our service does not align itself with the needs of the client, a full refund is always available to the customer with no questions asked. The only time a customer is required to pay for services up front is when a purchase is made through the Angie's List portal. This is a requirement of Angie's List, not Black Pearl Custom Painting."
