I was very impressed that Aramendia provides general maintenance service on a Sunday. Although initially scheduled for a Saturday, an emergency arose that caused the dispatcher to call and ask me to reschedule.
This service was ordered to meet deadlines required by the buyer based on a home inspection report. The technician repaired the items noted on the report along with the general maintenance.  I was billed at a flat rate so I cannot speak to how their prices compare to other providers but this was a Sunday call and allowed me to meet my deadlines so the price was well worth it in this circumstances. Omar was very professional and proficient in getting the work done.
Kudos to the dispatch team. They are among the best I have ever dealt with. They seemed to have good communication with their team in the field and kept me up to speed with arrival times and/or delays.

Purchased house a couple if years ago. Had an old softener that finally went out. Called and they had someone come out next day to check. They recommended replacement and explained why. Was surprised at cost until I researched how much a good quality softener is. They installed same day and the softener provides whole house water filtration as well. First time since we moved in that I'm okay using tab water due to good taste. Guys were very professional and wife who was there stated how nice they were.

This company is a very shady outfit!  They overcharge!  User beware!
Would be there in 1 & 1/2 hours.  Came three hours later.  Charged $198.00 and that was with a 10% discount.  Replaced $15.00 worth of parts in less than 20 minutes in one bathroom. They never checked the rest of the plumbing/toilets in the house.  They are supposed to do this or ask if you'd like them too.  Did not do!  Not very pleasant to deal with on the telephone or the actual workman.  Can't call him a plumber.  Very bad experience.
I had a real master plumber come out four days later.  He did not think they replaced the flapper I was charged for.  He redid three other bathrooms toilets for $150.00.  I supplied $45.00 worth of parts from Lowes.  Do the math.  I was cheated by Aramendia.

- Fri, 7/26/13: 2 Aramendia techs, one named Bob Veilleux (they don't serve to be called actual licensed plumbers) came out and replaced the defective hot water flex connector with a better copper type;  did the same for the cold water one as well.  They kept trying to convince us to just buy a new water heater from them as ours is now 10 yrs old.  We advised we plan to in the future but not now as it's working fine;  people just don't throw out the old for new nowadays unless it's absolutely necessary (my father-in-law's w/h is 20 yrs old and still going strong). Then they left.  I happened to check their work a few hours later and discovered that the hot water flex was still spraying a little as it's connect site.  We called Aramendia and they sent the same two techs back out that afternoon.  They said it hadn't been secured tightly enough and they made it right.  Later that evening, my wife went to take a shower and discovered that we had no hot water at all.  Which was weird since we did that morning when I took a shower before they initially came out.  I decided to wait to call them again the next morning as it was late and I'd check to see if the hot water was available for my shower.
- Sat, 7/27/13:  I went to take a shower in the morning and also confirmed no hot water.  What the heck did those techs do?  Why did we have hot water before Aramendia came out and now we don't?  I called and asked for someone else to come out.  2 other techs showed up later that day.  The replaced hot/cold flex connectors were fine and one of the techs tested the pilot light but was unable to determine what had happened as to why no hot water.  He challenged that we even had had w/h in the first place as he got on the phone and called one of the original 2 techs who had come out the day before and asked him if we had hot water when they left; that tech told him yes, they checked it before they left.  I knew that was a lie because they did no such thing--they never turned on the water at all.  They said we could order a part from the manufacturer (Whirlpool) or try a plumbing supply store as they don't carry any Whirlpool parts and that it would run between $300-$400.  Then we could call them back out to install it.  But they, too, kept pushing us to just replace the entire w/h and a new one that they had on their truck and that they could install it right now.  Finally, we told them to just leave.  We were leaving out of town the next day for a few days we were tired of their unprofessionalism and incompetence.
- Tues, 7/30/13:  While driving home from the Gulf Coast, my wife got on her cell, accessed the Internet and keyed in 'Whirlpool' water heater dealers.  She found a place that works on them and spoke to a terrific guy who was very patient and courteous.  He said he was a Master Plumber and that he could come by our home around 7pm that night on his way home from work and when we'd already be in from our trip.  To wrap this up:  he fixed the problem with why we had no hot water.  He said that the water heater has a protective shut off feature built into it whenever it senses moisture and that this had happened from the leak we had.  It just needed to dry out and then it should work again.  And that's exactly what the outcome was.  We didn't need to replace any part--if the Aramendia techs are actually licensed plumbers, then why didn't they have the skill and knowledge to realize this?  Because they're a big company who charges too much for their 'services' and they saw an opportunity to make some money by trying to get us to buy a new water heater from them.  We will never ever call them again for anything and will deal with the Master licensed plumber who fixed the problem whenever we have any other arising plumbing problem and when we're ready to replace the w/h with a new, more energy efficient one in conjunction with a water softener system as well.
Response from Aramendia Plumbing Heating & Air

"Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry that we were not able to fix your water heater properly the first time around, but we did not give up on the call once the initial repair was made. We honored our warranty and returned when we were requested to make right on our repair. All of our plumbers are beyond qualified to identify and/or troubleshoot issues with water heaters. The state requires a minimum of 4,000 hours of experience and training and all of our employees have greatly surpassed this requirement. To suggest that our employees "don't serve to be called actual plumbers" is radically far from the truth. Our office contacted Whirlpool and spoke with one of their direct representatives. We asked if there was such a thing as a water heater that would shut itself off in the event of moisture. The representative assured us that there was no such thing as a heater that could do that, but there WAS, however, a heater that would shut itself down in the event of overheating. Our manager has made several attempts to contact this customer in hopes of rectifying the situation, but we have yet to receive a call back. We are always willing to make sure our customers are satisfied with our service, and we will do what it takes to make right where we fall short. However, we cannot make this happen without speaking with our customers about any/all issues."

They offer a service guarantee.  Its well worth for what we pay.  They are available twice a year to service that particular piece of equipment, for instance, our kitchen appliances, kitchen disposal system and toilets.  They maintain them automatically on a regular basis without being called and that seems real blessing to us because that's where most of our expenses are.

After paying a "hole in the wall" company about $3,000 to fix nothing, we were very hesitant choosing a company to fix our AC. We had several companies come out and look at everything, but we felt significantly more comfortable with Aramendia.
We ended up having to replace our entire unit for our two-story house. We were a little worried that something that drastic might not be necessary, especially for the amount that it cost us. It has been about a year now, and we couldn't possibly be more happy with this company! The customer service in the office is wonderful. The service guys are great and really know what they are doing. We had a room that we were told (even by Aramendia) would never cool off like the rest of the house; but since our new system, the temperature has regulated PERFECTLY! That is just a bonus that we didn't expect!
Aramendia has absolutely exceeded our expectations! If you are getting more than one quote, PLEASE take my word and know that the cheapest is NOT going to be the best. Aramendia was worth every penny!

My wife reported that the water heater was leaking. It was brand new and that surprised me. So, after hurrying home, the investigation revealed that my old all-in-one water softener had failed and flooded the brine tank. This dissolved 80 pounds of rock salt and was flowing out of the overflow port. This means it was incredibly heavy. Aramendia can out very promptly after I called them. They recommended a two-part softener with a separate brine tank. The technician also reported that the purge drain had been incorrectly installed with the first unit and fixed the problem. New unit installed, 200 # of salt included, and works fine.

Our water company completely dropped the ball. They left us without water for 2 DAYS and claimed it was a plumbing problem. I call these guys and they came out on a Saturday. They called me throughout the day to follow up as I waited for them just to let me know they were still coming. They went above and beyond and the issue ended up being the water company never turned the water back on. They checked my water heater and other plumbing as a precaution without any extra charge. I will be sending their bill to the water company.

Aramendia was the second plumber we called for an estimate to replace a water heater at our rental. We needed the job done immediately as the tenants were out of hot water. Aramendia is supposed to be a large and reputable company. We expected fast results with a high price to go with it, but actually got a very reasonable rate and a military discount so we agreed to have them do the work on the spot.

The contracted price included the $95 City of San Antonio plumbing inspection fee. We knew this was needed as we had replaced a hot water tank and brought it up to current code with another plumber on our other house a year before.

Well, no City inspector ever showed after Aramendia did the work. I called their office and the lady that answered the phone told me "the City does random inspections" and "only inspects 1 in 3 permit requests". That raised a RED FLAG! We paid for the permit and we knew the City responded promptly as we had dealt with them before. The lady at Aramendia said she would "request another" inspection and emailed me the confirmation. I then called the City 2 days later to see if they were on schedule for the inspection. I explained what happened. This was a month after the initial install so the inspector did an address inquiry on our house. There was no history of a prior City permit request by Aramendia. They never requested one until I called to follow up. I was told a bogus story by their staff.

I filed a complaint with the Texas State Department of Licensing and Regulating. It is in process so we have not received a response from Aramendia yet.

I HOPE that the employee that told me the bogus info was just mistaken. This is a big Company in San Antonio. If this is common practice to charge for a permit and not bother to have the City inspect the work- that's criminal.

UPDATE: Aramendia did eventually contact me and ask me to change my review. I did not do this because the TX State Delartment of Licensing and Regulating followed up with me and informed me that they did issue a fine to the company because they found this practice had been done to repeated customers.

We've used these folks for years for plumbing and have been very happy with them. I saw an AC commercial and called them because we could hear dripping in the AC unit. I was worried that we'd have to get the coils cleaned since we had so many pets. The tech could show us the inside of the unit without pulling it out which was neat. Yes we needed them cleaned and we mentioned if we had the funds we'd really rather have new since our system was 10 years. The repairman said they had a financing option and we were approved in an hour. I want to stress the technician never pushed for a new unit and did not try to get us to upgrade to more than we needed. The techs came the following day and put in our new unit. You could tell the techs took pride in their job. They kept the work area super clean and did an exceptional job on the installation. If I could find a word better then immaculate for their job I'd use it. Finally, to add icing to the cake they said they'd fill out the rebate paperwork for CPS and Send it to us so we could put in our part and mail if off for a rebate from City Public Service. They were good to their word and we have a substantial credit to our utility account. These folks should get an A+ across the board for the great job they did in all aspects of this job.

Excellent. There was no charge for showing up or the estimate. Once they determined what was wrong, they gave me a price. I thought it was a little high, but I could have turned it down and they would have left for no charge. So even though I thought the charge was a little high, I felt I was treated fairly.

I called at 5pm on a Saturday night and someone was available to take my call and schedule an appointment to come look at my leaking garbage disposal. They would have come that night but it wasn't an emergency so we scheduled for the following morning between 9-930(that's right a 30 min window not 4 hours or all day). The team called at 830 on Sunday morning saying they were on the way. They arrived promptly at 9. They found the disposal needed to be replaced, so they did and even had a disposal on their truck so I didn't have to purchase one and get them to come back to install. The installation went quick and they offered to do an free home inspection of all plumbing areas in the house! An overall great experience. Also, no extra charge for weekend appointments. I will definitely use them again, and have talked them up to friends and family!!

On a late Monday afternoon, we attempted to remove our outside hose faucet to install a new shut-off faucet.  Unfortunately, we inadvertently broke a pipe.  We called Aramendia Plumbing Heating And Air immediately.  We were told it would take about 2 hours before technicians would be available.  They arrived 30 minutes after the Aramendia office staff called us to tell us they were on their way.  David and Greg were terrific.  They gave us a price of $375.00 to fix the pipe.  They were friendly, efficient, and professional.  They replaced the broken pipe and replaced it and installed the new shut-off valve we tried to install ourselves.  Before they left, they asked me if there were any other problems in the house that we wanted them to look at.  I had a shower faucet that was broken.  They quoted me a price of $68.  When I asked if they could come back, they explained that would cost me another service fee of $144.  I decided to have them do the work right then.  They even helped me to clear the area.  Before they left, after finishing the 2nd job, they talked to me about a water softening system that they recommended. They also quoted me a price on that job and left me with some paperwork that described the system.  I was extremely happy with their work!!!
