a week ago Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value This is the 2nd time we have used Allgood Electric. Everything was perfect. 1) We got same day service (which was much appreciated). 2) The communication was superior: bid & invoice via email, confirmation of appt confirmed via text, and a text when the technician was on the way. 3) The work was completed professionally & accurately. The price was affordable. I will definitely call them again if we need an electrician.

On time and did a good job in a timely manner. The only negative is he didn't haul away the old fan which I understood to be part of the deal. I didn't notice it until he was already gone. I just put it in front of the house and in a couple of days it was gone. I would definitely hire again. Price was higher than some but not the highest. They told me the set price and I appreciated that. Some of the others I contacted refused to give me an estimate and/or charged an additional fee just to show up to the house. This was even though I told them it was not a high ceiling and was in the bedroom.

My appointment went well. I reminded of my impending appointment a day or two prior. The technician reached out with an estimate arrival on the day of. I was provided an estimate prior to any work taking place. I was kept informed and provided options throughout the the process.. The technician was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions, If you’re looking for quality work, look no further!

Horrible! When the technician arrived he gave me a quote of $129.00 fro the first camera and $89.00 for the second camera. He went his truck to see if they offer Military Discounts and he came back with a different quote of $149 per camera. When asked why did the price change the response was they didn't know the job was for security cameras so they gave the wrong quote.

Troy and his team at Allgood have been providing us with quality electrical work for nearly 8 years. From replacing outlets to larger jobs like full control panel replacement. They respond quickly, the prices are fair, and they do great work! The cost of service listed is the last time we used them for a small job. The largest job was closer to $4000 (about 2 years ago).

They arrived to give me a quote. I explained everything that I wanted done and they provided me a quote on the spot. I noticed they were one plug short that I asked for and the technician stated don't worry about it I will take care of it. As far as all the other electrical terminology on the quote I assumed everything was covered. (first mistake). They were scheduled to begin on Monday. On Saturday I received a phone call that a man was out front ready to dig the trench from the house to the shed to run the electrical wiring. (no notice just showed up luckily I was home) The trench was approximately a 12-14 foot trench, 19 inches deep and had to go through my landscaping. As the gentlemen was digging I told him that I was going to move the pave stones, rake the mulch back, and split the weed paper so it would be out of his way. Also this would prevent trashing my landscaping. Needless to say he piled dirt on top of my landscaping which defeated my purpose. He also returned the next day to finish and asked me if I had been digging in the trench because he found a damaged sprinkler line right in the center of the trench. For what I was paying do you really think I'm going to do any digging in that trench. I stated no, I had no reason to be digging in the trench. It took him approximately 8-10 hours by his self to dig this trench. They did repair the water line damage. On Monday the electricians (2) showed up and I stated I wanted to go over the quote one more time to ensure we were both on the same page. The lead technician stated he didn't add the Gazebo work to the quote that I had originally agreed to. I asked how much more was it going to cost he said he would accomplish a separate quote and let me know. So now I'm upset because they have already dug a trench in my yard and If I cancel I have no idea what I will be charged just for the trench. The quote was not broken down by the cost of each item to be performed. So I let them continue. Later the lead technician calls me and tells me it will cost $600 more dollars on top of the $3900 I'm already paying for the shed. At first I agreed because I needed to get it done for safety reasons, but later I changed my mind. The work on just the shed took about 3-4 hours. Later the Owner called and he asked why I had cancelled the second job and I explained the issue with the quote. He stated that they would do the additional work at no charge and I agreed. The overall quote I got was comparable to most others that I received. (minus the additional $600 for the Gazebo) Keep in mind any electrical work you have done will be expensive. It took them approximately 11-14 hours to do just the shed. I don't know how long to accomplish the gazebo because I asked to be called when they were done and they never called me. Trench could have been done in a quarter of the time with a ditch witch and I'm assuming that is what cost me the most. I paid approximately $3900 for the job which is roughly $354-$278 dollars an hour. Keep in mind the actual electrical work was approximately 3-4 hours. Overall everything works, they did complete the Gazebo at no charge, I've cleaned up the cigarette butts left on my gazebo, I'm repairing the two small holes in my shed where the screws went through the wall to the outside, I still have my landscaping area to clean up and pick up some trash left behind. Lesson learned get a quote and make sure it is broken down by everything to be done and ensure they know what your expectations are for how the work is to look when its done.

Great. Have dealt with Allgood Electric for several years. The work they did this week was their usual efficient, professional service. The 2 light fixtures were old fixtures which no longer worked. The electrican suggest upgrading to LED lights...work better and lighter weight than the old light tubes. Brian has been to our house and the other home several times in past. My brother said Brian and co-worker were gentleman through the entire operation. Will continue to use Allgood Electric. In past they have replaced older outdoor lighting haning on a pole and even changed electrical wiring from hanging in the trees to reach the light to burying in the ground.

Technician diagnosed the problem quickly and quoted a price. He had the parts to complete the work immediately so I had him do it. I have had no problems since. Great job!

Repair performed promptly.

Technician Jacob arrived, very professional and polite. He removed old, defective switches, that started to arc and buzz, with new switches. He corrected wiring that wasn't properly accomplished when house was built. He checked our kitchen fluorescent light as there was a problem when turning it on. Advised it could be the switch or the light ballast. Replaced switch and light appeared to be functioning properly. Asked if we wanted ballast replaced and our decision was to wait to see if any problems came up. He advised if problems developed to call.

I was looking to begin renovation on our 1940's built home. The first item on my list was the electrical. It was completely substandard for modern day appliances. I called Allgood Electric on a weekend expecting to get a recording with their business hours & maybe leave a voice mail at best. I was very surprised to find Troy Allgood was working and had the office phone forwarded to his work cell. He managed to find a spot in his schedule and came out that same day to take a look at our home. After a thorough look he stated he would like to take the job. He took my email & sent me an estimate within a couple days. We did get an estimate from an electrician who does this sort of thing on the side as well as from three other professional companies in town. Troy had told me he would not be the cheapest. It turns out he was. My girlfriend and I were very happy with this. She had a great feeling she said after meeting him during his first visit. The work went quickly. It was a big job requiring his electricians to crawl under the house. He undertook this job himself so his employee's didn't have to. Troy is the owner, but is not afraid to step in, help out & get his hands dirty to make sure a project gets done correctly and on time. We were very happy with everything he did. The Allgood electricians were very professional. Every one of them that came to work on the house never failed to stop and answer questions. The city inspection afterwards went well. We are planning to hire them again in the next year or two as we get to our kitchen remodel and need installation for dishwasher and garbage disposal. Troy, thank you for everything! We are exceptionally happy with your work.

Super...super...super....First of all, it was so nice to have a "real" person answer my call and not a recording. Troy was great....he had scheduled our work on my request day but I later had to change the date due to unforseen circumstances which he did as I was speaking to him. Brian Garner (electrician) did a super job, he called us to tell us when he was arriving, very courteous and professional. There was a small issue about installing the Nest smoke detectors and he got it resolved and installed them. If he could not provide a solution to our request due to the original install of the electrical system in the house, he explained why and also explained another option and the cost....which we decided to leave as is. We have had Allgood provide us electrical services in the past and would highly recommend them.
