I had the original wood floors in my 80 yr old house redone. At the estimate, they told me that they did not need sanded but just refinished. They came on time and worked quickly and professionally. The floors looked good but I wanted a higher gloss. They came back the next day and added a second coat without additional charge. I was very impressed with their responsiveness and would recommend them to friends.

Well...the technician who came out to give the ESTIMATE actually did the REPAIR for some reason. I thought that was very strange. My wife was at home when this was done, so I found out after the fact. The estimate (and invoice) was for 1 hour labor and a trip charge, which seemed a little high, but reasonable. I wasn't paying for this in the long run, another company was, so I didn't really care how much it cost.
The dent was filled with a hot melt treatment, but the finish is not as smooth and shiny as the surrounding floor. Since it's so small, though, it doesn't matter that much, and my wife is okay with how it looks. She's the one who noticed the dent after it happened, I hadn't noticed it.
All done, I would recommend this company, but make sure that you communicate what you want done on multiple levels.

We were in a time crunch and needed our floors refinished within a very short time frame. They came in, got the job done while we were out of town, and we moved in to our new home with it's gleaming wood floors. The room has had carpet previously, and had some cut tracks where a sliding door had been. They filled the cracks, sanded the floors, and perfectly matched the tone to the hall floors. The clean up was also very good, no dust left behind anywhere in the house. the price might hae been slightly higher than some others, but they were certainly worth the money.

We were very pleased. they had a crew that came in and did 99% of the work in one day. we moved any furnature we could pick up and put it in the garage and they moved the heavy stuff they cam in and in on eday ripped up the carpet and moved the furniture around and came bach the nest day and laid they carpet back down and moved the furniture back around. we were very very satisfied with the crew that did the work and the wood they put down.

We have been working with them probably since the middle of summer like for just going over and having samples. They are very knowledgeable. There is another company that put in the carpeting for us and I don’t know how they are connected, but they are basically in the same store. We spent about $3000 for the hardwood flooring. The installation of the hardwood flooring was very good. They were very professional. They would respond to your needs. I had a question on some glue on the floor even after the job was done. So, they sent someone out the next morning. Then the guy came right away and fixed it. They were very prompt and I had no problems. They told us to call them up if we had any problems. They said that they would be out here and I had no reasons to feel that they wouldn’t. It was a very good experience. I would recommend them and use them in the future too.

They were professional. The price was pretty steep but I think it would be the same with everybody else. We decided that we didn’t want them to refinish our floor this time. They were not ready to come in very soon but they were here when they supposed to be exactly. They had done some work for me probably about fifteen years ago and they were fine then.

The workers were great and finished in 3 days. Precautions were taken to keep dust contained. Workers explained the work as it evolved. Furniture was carefully removed and replaced. After installation excess glue was removed and floors were expertly cleaned. The salesperson, Emmanuel, was very knowledgable and showed us a variety of flooring types and colors. He explained the pros and cons of the various woods clearly so we could make an informed decision. His measurements of how much flooring was needed were very accurate. No surprises for us. A really great experience. We feel like we are living in a "new" house.

One of the other bidders made a similar positive impression and came in with a slightly lower price, else we would have awarded the bid to Advanced. I am confident that, had we selected Advanced, we would have been happy with their work. I would definitely recommend that Advanced Wood Floors be on the short list for anyone planning to solicit proposals for a hardwood flooring installation.

Overall, I was pretty happy with the work. They had some very talented craftsmen. There was one communication hiccup that the supervisor took complete responsibility for. That was nice. There was an error made in communication, but he took full responsibility which I appreciated a lot.

Overall I would use them again and I would recommend them. It was just a very difficult experience because we were out of state and we had contractors come in and do one thing. Then we had them come and look at the floors and we had other contractors as well. I think they did a good job of putting in the floors. I think initially there were a couple of things that we weren’t happy about but they worked pretty hard to make it satisfied. I think overall I would definitely recommend them. We would probably use their services again in the future.

Emmanuel was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. He provided great information, options, and alternatives based on our needs and budget. In the end, we went with another company that offered a lower price, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Emmanuel and Advanced Wood Floors, and am very confident that they do high quality, top-notch work.

The company gave us an estimate for the hardwood and we negoitated a fair price for the job. We just bought the house and therefore the rooms were empty. We pulled up the carpet and tack strips ourselves to save a little money. Our furniture was scheduled to be delivered on a Thursday and they didn't start laying wood until Monday. We were concerned they wouldn't finish on time, but they did. The installers did a great job with the fit and finish. They even put down quarter round (shoe mold), but we had to paint it. The only complaint we had was the floor sample in the store wasn't a good representation of the installed floor. The m'f't'r rep came by to see, but wasn't convinced. Nevertheless, we were very happy with the product and overall experience.

She was very knowledgeable and she knew what she was talking about. When she measured the room she looked like she was pretty good at it. She was quite professional, she looked nice, and she presented her company well. This is the first company we?ve had come out so far so we?re going to check around on the price a little bit. Our first inclination is that they will probably be the ones to do our floor.

They installed an oak wood floor in the bedroom and closet. Our bedroom floor was not level, so they installed wood to level it off. After installing the wood they sanded using a special machine that eliminated the dust before it could reach the other rooms in the house. It worked amazingly well. They did all the moving of the furniture and even came back a few days later to move it all back, because I decided to paint the room after they were done. They were always punctual,and pleasant but highly professional, both in their workmanship and their demeanor. They even worked on Saturday and Sunday to get the job done sooner. We were very impressed with Larry and Scottie:for their teamwork and their persistence to get the job done right. I would highly recommend Advanced Wood for anyone thinking of hard wood floors.

Salesman was very knowledgeable about product & installation. All subcontractors did an excellent job during installation. Old carpet & backing removed w/o any problems. Original installation went smoothly. Had to return a second time to correct installation of a step, along with transition areas from hardwood to tile flooring areas. Because of this second visit, finishing took a couple of days longer than expected. Meant spending 2 more days out of home than originally planned. Finishing dust kept to a minimum. Transition areas between hardwood floors & carpeted rooms are seamless - perfect match. Finished product is beautiful & adds a warm touch to home. Throughout entire process, all personnel were very friendly & professional. Would not hesitate to recommend Advanced Wood Floors to anyone. Would gladly send photographs if I could figure out how to attach photos.

We're in the process of using their services. They've been very helpful with dealing with adjustors and insurance companies. They wanted to make sure that we got enough money to replace the floor. They're showing up at 7:30 AM tomorrow to do the work. I really like their helpfulness and their earnest knowledge on the subject. They did an excellent job the with our kitchen floor the first time around.
