The Pet Gal

Received an update at the time of the visits along with pictures. My cat seemed to bask in the attention. When I returned she was calm and relaxed. Joy's visits soothed my cats anxiety of being left alone.

In the past, I have always boarded our dog when we went on weekend trips and left her with my parents if we were gone longer. I recently decided to try a pet walking/sitting service instead, since she never did well at a boarder. The difference is amazing. She loves her sitter Jen and is excited every time she sees her. The service is wonderful. They set up a free meet and greet prior to setting up any other appointments. During the visits, Jen will send pictures and let me know how Lucy is doing. And her pictures are better than any I've ever taken, so that's an added bonus. When she is unable to make a visit, she has someone fill in for her. In this case, they also set up a free meet and greet with the new sitter, so there is never someone that is a stranger to your dog showing up at your house. This is a great service, and I'm so glad I decided to make the change. I've liked it so much that I now use her for walks also (when we have plans after work). I couldn't be happier with my choice and highly recommend Pet Gal to anyone!

I can't say enough good things about the Pet Gal.  We've been using them for about 3 or 4 years and every time I'm impressed with their level of service and care.  Our dogs are very precious to us and it's so comforting to know that when we are gone they are in such good hands.  Jennifer has been our particular Pet Gal for our last several trips and she is simply awesome.  She goes above and beyond.  If you are looking for a sitter for your pets then look no further.  Pet Gal = Peace of Mind.

Signing up with the Pet Gal was the best thing we could have done for our family. We used to take our pup with us anytime we traveled, but when our baby came along, that grew quite complicated. I did not want to board him because I wanted him to feel safe and comfortable in his surroundings. We contacted the Pet Gal and were able to set up a meet and greet immediately where two sitters came out to the house to meet us and Gunner. We showed them around and filled out some paperwork. Since then, every time we've needed them, they've been there for us, sometimes even last minute. All the sitters are great, but I've grown quite fond of PetGal Kathleen. She is so loving and nurturing to Gunner and you feel that whenever you get text and picture updates while you're gone. I trust the Pet Gal completely and have referred several friends to them. Another great piece, is that when you schedule online, you're able to customize exactly what you want to happen each time the Pet Gal comes to your home. We love them and I know Gunner approves!

This was my first time using a pet sitting service and I could not have been more pleased.  I used PetGal for Christmas and I know my cats were pleased to be staying in their own home and not traveling with me.  Lindsey was my sitter and she was very professional.  We met a week before so she could bring me a lock box and I could show her  around.  She sent me daily texts and pictures while she was here.  I felt very comfortable and at ease knowing my cats were in good hands.  I will definitely use PetGal in the future.

I asked if I could engage The Pet Gals' services next week. Filled out the requisite info on the website, but was told they are not offering services in my area at this time. I am in Round Rock Texas, so if you might want to take that into consideration before contacting this company.

Very professional, on time, did exactly what they said they would do
Treated my pet with the same care they would their own pet
Quality of the work is excellent, they want you to be happy
Cost was about the same as if I took my dog to the groomer for the amount of time she spent with him, and what she provided, and she came to us!
Cons:
Only bad thing that I could say is that once you are established. for grooming services you have to book at least 3 weeks out because so many people want them to groom their animals :)
I have an Havanese puppy, he is about 9 months old.  They are a medium/small dog (about 13 lb) with a LOT of hair.  But they don't shed, and the hair is the opposite of a Malamute or Husky, it keeps them cool (they were bred for warm climates).  It is fairly long and wavy, and very fine.  If not brushed very regularly it will cord and mat (I was brushing him twice a day). I had been taking him to a local groomer, but I wasn't completely satisfied with the results.  Not unsatisfied, but just not exactly what I wanted.  Plus I use a special type of shampoo, and the other groomer wasn't even willing to use it.
So, I submitted a request  their website.  Despite their 48-hour call back policy, the groomer called me the next day.  This was a Thursday.  I figured the soonest would be the end of the next week before she could get out here.  Nope.  We made an appointment for her to come and do a consultation on Saturday.  I submitted all of my information online, per her instructions.  She could see the obvious mistakes the other groomer had made, and pretty much knew what I wanted as I was explaining it.  We made an appointment for Tuesday at 4 pm. 
She was about 10 minutes late, but had called at 3:45 to say that she was stuck in traffic so it doesn't count.
She came in, got all her equipment up and got settled.  I showed her the shampoo and how to use it.  And she started working her magic.  The website said the policy was that the owner wasn't supposed to be there, but she was fine with me in the room, mainly because my little guy is so well behaved (training, lots of training).  Before she made the first "cut" she called me in and showed me how short it would be.  And showed me some problem areas that she was going to have to deal with. 
I was in and out of the room, my boy did great, no problems.  She had to do a lot of scissor work after the clippers because his puppy coat just wasn't laying right, and she wanted it to be perfect.  She also took the time to get his nails done, figured out that he didn't like them clipped so went ahead and used the dremel.  She was very attentive to him.  She got all the areas I had wanted her to get, and got his nails and pads done.  She really took the time to do the job right, and called me in occasionally to check the work, see if there was anything I noticed or whatever. 
It was a fabulous experience, and instead of coming home sort of wired after being in a crate, he was fine.  I am booking his next groom already.
I also have RA, and need someone to walk him occasionally.  I haven't had the walking services yet, but if they are half as good as the groomer was they still get an A. 
Also, if I was going out of town, I would have absolutely no problem entrusting these people with my house keys and taking care of my boy. 

This is the first time I have used the services of the Pet Gal, and I couldn't be more pleased.  I was out of town for 5 days and Pet Gal Ashe took care of my 3 dogs during this time.  She went above and beyond what I expected especially for one of my dogs who had an issue while I was gone.  She came to my house the week before the service to meet my dogs and answer my questions.  Not only did she provide lots of love and attention to my pups, she texted me after each visit, scooped the poop, and swept my floor on the day I was coming back home.  When I came home, my dogs were happy and stress-free which was so important to me.
Additionally, Pet Gal Jennifer gave one of my dogs a bath, as requested.  She did such a great job on him, and I plan on using this service again, also.
As stated above, I will be using the services of the Pet Gal in the future; and I will recommend them to my friends who have pets.

I was looking for an in-home pet sitter for my 3 dogs and 2 cats, so I left a voicemail for Susan on Tuesday regarding her overnight services. On Thursday she returned my call and introduced herself and mentioned my Tuesday message. I told her I was surprised that it took her two days to return my call. She stated that they have a 48 hour return policy on phone calls and mentioned how important customer service is to her company. I asked if the 48 hour policy is for new customers or also for existing clients, and she said both. I said okay and mentioned that I hadn't seen the policy on her website but for her to tell me about her services. She said that we haven't gotten off on a good start. So I explained that it I was tired and hadn't had my caffeine yet for the day. I further explained that her 48 hour policy concerned me as I could not expect a quick call back if I was out of town and her team was caring for my kids. She wished me a good day and ended the call.

I initially had trouble figuring out the appointment software to set up the first appointment, but Debbie emailed me right away, and we got it figured out.  Ashe came by to meet me and my animals, and she was great.  It was a quick meeting in which I introduced her to everyone and showed her around.  I spoke with Ashe about the dates I would be gone, and everything seemed to be a go for the holiday.  I then contacted Susan to see if I needed to do anything further for the sitting so that I could be in their system for billing.  She said that I would need to sign up through their software, but Ashe was already booked for the holidays.  After a brief panic attack, Susan spoke with Ashe and then confirmed that I was set with them for sitting.  Susan had been very responsive.  Everything seemed to go fine during the holiday week - Ashe texted me during each visit with pictures of the animals and let me know everyone was good.  I really appreciated this, and it gave me peace of mind.  When I returned home at 1:30 a.m., however, the front door was unlocked and ALL of the overhead lights were on in the house (utility room, hallway, living room, dining room), in addition to many lamps (which I had requested).  I thought someone may be in the house, but after a look around and the realization that the dogs were calm, it was fine.  Also, the crate that one of my dogs was in all night had no towel, blanket, or toys in it.  When I contacted Susan about the state of the house upon my return, she did apologize and gave me a $50 refund.  I told her that I would consider using The Pet Gal again if the need arises, but I do not know if I will be able to get over the fact that my house was left unlocked and in such an unprofessional state.

Amy with The Pet Gal came twice a day for five days while we were on vacation to take care of our dogs.  She did a great job and texted us after each visit (including a pic of the dogs) to let us know that things were going smooth.  She came out a few weeks before hand to do a meet and greet with us and our pets and to go over the contract and any special requests, etc.  Overall I found both Amy and the other lady I spoke with at the Pet Gal to be professional and very nice.  The price was reasonable as well.  I would definitely use The Pet Gal again.

I can't say enough good things about these ladies.  We use them all the time to help us out when life gets a little too crazy to walk the dogs or when we are both out of town.  I knew they were great but Rayna even helped me look for one of my cats when he got out, which pretty well proves they actually care about my animals.  
My trainer told me about these gals and I also really appreciate that they maintain good training when they walk my dogs.  The dogs adore this team and my cats do too. It is always hard to tell what the fish thinks.

Ashe was amazing. There were some unexpected events/problems & she cheerfully spent extra time to take care of things so my dogs were cared for & safe, with no hint of complaint. She was so professional & pleasant! She definitely went above & beyond!!

We called PetGal and PetGal Wanda called us back. She was very nice and arranged to come over to meet our "guys" and us. It' was obvious when we met she is really interested and kind. She asked all the right questions about what care our pets needed and set times she would look in on them. We were thrilled with her interest and she also sent us pictures of them while she was taking care of them! She has since called us to make sure we were pleased, which we were, and said she would be happy to help us in the future. We are so glad we called PetGals and will use them again when the need arises.

It worked well, They were very responsive, and kudos to Pet Gal Wanda-she sent us pictures of our cats each time she came to visit. We will absoliutely use them again!
