Honest Air Conditioning

We have used them for both AC & plumbing services! And their name (Honest) is spot on! They tell you like it is, and keep at it until it is right! If they don't know the way to get it fixed - rest assured, they will find out and get it done! Jacob, and Luke are two names that I remember - but I would trust ant technician they sent!

I have used Honest AC and Plumbing for my HVAC and plumbing needs for the last 3 years in Round Rock. Today was routine maintenance as I purchased the plan. This company has been phenomenal and today Mike continued that level of service. Every technician that comes out teaches me something new which is one of my favorite things about this company. They are polite, prompt and they offer upgraded products without pushy sales tactics. These guys/gals are pros. From the office folks to the technicians. The one time I made an emergency call they came out very quickly and informed me of corrective action. Because I called during business hours there was no dispatch fee because I have the plan. I highly recommend this company and I hope they never change!

I spoke to Ray and voiced my concerns about the old system that included mold that was all through the old system which was not installed properly and had failed shortly after it started to make my family sick. All the vents were wet and turning black so it was evident that the entire system was damaged. Although it was agreed on that the old system was improperly installed which included the return air intake and outdated damaged ducting I was repeatedly discouraged from having the ducts replaced and told they would not replace them during the summer months. also informed me that the attic access ladder would have to come down which they can do but they do not do installs to replace it. They were quick to get to us and installation was pretty quick with 2 crews 5 people on it from about 9:30 am till 3 pm and I was assured multiple times that a QC person was still going to come by and address all my concerns that I am still having. Called one number no callback, called the office and was told I was only scheduled for the installation no callbacks. I voiced my concerns and was told “that’s not right” but the QC person would call or come by, 2 weeks later still no callback. The mess left behind was intense even though I pointed it out before they left it. Fiberglass is everywhere and still blowing throughout the home including through most vents. We are getting sick on a daily basis, including a pet from what I can assume is from all the parts of the old system that is still installed (intake and all ducting) and even missed installing one of them! The thermostat that was replaced was of a much lower quality ducts are now blocking the only access I have to the rest of the attic storage as they were going straight up before but now are installed to the side, not suspended, left kinked, and all over the place. Some cold air is leaking from the unit into the attic around the joints. After a week of running the A/C quit cooling for about 2 days and just started cooling again yesterday morning. So after installing a new attic ladder access to replace the hole left behind. $16,000 for a partially installed 4-ton single-stage 16-seer Trane and an air purifier (sterilizing UV light) that will not remove pathogens down the line was hardly worth it. I will try to reach out to them again and see what happens.

The technicians Eric and Kade were professional in every since of the word. the wee prompt communicated throughout the process of complete air conditioning unit replacement. They were on time and made sure everything was working before leaving.

Good service and timely installation of new AC unit. Logan, Bailey and Alex were professional and did a great job explaining the work they did. Looking forward to working with Honest Air Conditioning again.

Alex explained in detail all of our options, and we decided to replace the entire system. Josh, Jason, and Jackson came 2 days later and installed all the new equipment. Their teamwork was something to watch. It was like an orchestrated ballet! They were all courteous and respectful of our home (they even put down a cover over the full length of our staircase!) All the work was neatly and tidily done. The outside unit lines now look very nice (Thanks, Jackson!) We highly recommend Honest Air Conditioning!!

Honest AC did an excellent job replacing my aging 2004 carrier builder's grade AC system; everything from the first technician's (Jacob) visit to the non-pressure sales advisor appointment (Seth) to the full install (Josh, Juston and Jackston) of the 3.5 ton Carrier Comfort 16 system. Super quick turnaround time from cost agreement to the next-morning full installation. Very non-disruptive work performed, the upgrades for code compliance and equipment installations were very clean and solid, and the post-install walkthrough had me reassured that I made the right choice in going with Honest AC. The price was very fair and I will contact them later to begin a follow-up maintenance program to ensure my family gets the most out of the new system. Thanks Honest AC! Note: I believe their primary office location is in Hutto at 112 McNutt Rd, unless things have changed recently. :)

Our 23 year old A/C system (2 units) finally gave up, and we called Honest A/C for a hew system after reading their excellent reviews. Logan and Jeremy did a great job installing the new Trane system. They were on time, very fast, professional, personable and courteous. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Could not have asked for a more efficient use of time and effort on the part of Joe and Jerome. They were very courteous and pleasant and concentrated on the job at hand . They were excellent representatives for the company. In fact, they made me happy I chose them for this job. James, the initial member and closer for this job was thorough and informative.

My wife and I had Honest AC out (after passing on a company whose diagnostic fee was nearly twice that of Honest AC) for a 2nd opinion on our compressor problem consisting of a failure of the thermostat to communicate with the compressor. The first company's serviceman diagnosed the need to replace a part in the compressor (can't remember what it was exactly) for $800, part and labor. Without knowing anything about such things, it sounded excessive to us, hence the 2nd opinion. Chris from Honest was sent out the same day I called and in a few minutes found a tiny severed wire in the compressor. When he replaced the wire the thermostat communication with the compressor was re-established, with no need for a new part, and the only charge being the diagnostic fee. We obviously couldn't be happier, and our old company has been replaced by Honest Air Conditioning. We were highly impressed by Chris' knowledge, efficiency and friendliness. He even looked at an electrical problem and made a recommendation.

Rick was the technician who stopped at the property we were closing on in order to evaluate the current condition of the AC system, a unit near the end of its expected life cycle. He used thermal imaging techniques to looks for leaks and evaluate operating temperatures for various components. Then, he took my follow up call to answer my questions and provided the best advice that he could on the maintenance of this older unit. Could not be happier with the outcome. I highly recommend this company and Rick in particular.

Went very well. Rick was amazing and he’s the reason I’ll be using Honest Air Conditioning again. I was pretty impressed by the fact that while he was stuck in traffic he asked me what’s going on and some steps to try. Sadly it needed his technical expertise to actually get the issue resolved. While he was here he didn’t mind me looking over his shoulder the entire time. I’m one of those I think I can learn from them but probably would forget but the fact that he didn’t seemed annoyed by it and even explained things to me was wonderful. Rick was definitely polite, knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and goes that extra mile for you. He pointed out a couple of issues that he mentioned was causing my problems (they were the shoddy work of previous HVAC companies) but he didn’t force me to have them fix it. He showed me what I’ll need to fix them myself if I wanted to. That to me speaks volume of the kind of person he is and the kind of information that I look for any company that I hire.

Had a great experience, from scheduling to the appointment. The tech, Chris, was on time and was able to diagnose, and for me, more importantly, clearly explain the issue. I was offered a couple of choices to fix it with likely outcomes and did not feel pressured. They are reasonably priced and I was left feeling that the diagnosis and solutions were truly representative of the issue and nothing more. Chris even stayed longer to explain solutions for cooling the media room that the builder did not design properly and would get hot with all the electronics and the projector running. I was happy enough, I signed up for the annual maintenance.

These guys were awesome. I called them at 10:15 am on a Monday morning. The phone was answered by a real person (very pleasant) who was able to quickly set me up with an appointment on the same day. The tech arrived promptly at noon, calling me about 20 minutes ahead to let me know he was on his way. He diagnosed the location of the refrigerant leak in the outside unit within about 15 minutes. He did not have a tool on hand to repair the line (since mini splits are a bit different than normal units), but he called a colleague who arrived within about 15 minutes to deliver the proper tool and helped repair the line. The line was repaired, the unit completely recharged and back in working order within the next 20-30 minutes. The overall experience was pleasant and painless. I spoke to both techs at length about their experiences at Honest A/C, and both were very upbeat and positive about the company's vision. They really seemed to be happy with their jobs, which really makes a positive difference in how they perform. The next day, I scheduled with them to come back out to audit my other two systems and to get on their annual maintenance plans.

Very well. They were here on time. They were very professional. Reasonably priced. Overall I would definitely do business with them again.

Great and fast job.

Initial estimate was very thorough about possible other items to enhance the function of our system. Techs for estimate and actual job were informative, professional and the price was very reasonable. We actually had another company come out to do second estimate and they said if we could get the work done for the price quoted by Honest, jump on it!

This was, by far, the best customer service we have received on any home repair! I would highly recommend them!

Job was done as expected and on time.
