Handyman for Hire

He did things for me like putting in the kitchen faucet and installed the kitchen stove. He is very good. I have used him a lot. I like him a lot. He is your overall handyman. It is very hard to find somebody who will come over here and be happy to do things like unclog the drain and simple things. He's very professional and very reliable. Sometimes, I think that he's giving it away and other times, I think it's overpriced. Quality of work is very, very good. He's a detail oriented person. He's extremely clean.

I had earlier used Mr. Peterson to replace a section of fence that had blown down, so I called him again when I needed additional work done. I like that he is local and takes pride in his business. He is extremely reliable and true to his word. I appreciated that he was able to give me a quote on the phone, and he did the work for the price quoted. From now on, he is my go-to handyman. Both he and his assistant were absolutely professional. I highly recommend him.

Pete is awesome! First he gave me a very reasonable quote for replacing my dinged up front door with a vintage mid-century modern beauty I had found on Craigslist. He also didn't say anything about me being crazy for trying to install a 60 year old door I found on Craigslist, which I can definitely appreciate - I like what I like! It took a little time to get on Pete's schedule, but he and his assistant did a great job dealing with my crazy old door and put in a really good seal as well so bugs can't sneak in anymore. I'm very happy with it overall and now I have an awesome bright yellow front door - such a cheery thing to come home to!

Pete and his assistnat Chris arrived on time. In fact, they came a day early becuase they had to reschedule another job and were available to get started. They worked efficently and kept me in the loop about how the tasks were coming and what materials they needed and asked if I would like to purchase these or if I wanted them to make pickup those items. Before cutting into the drywall over my fire place, they double checked with me to make sure it looked exactly like I wanted it. Becasue of the weather, the exterior work had to wait a couple of days. But they were back the first nice day and got to work and knocked it out. We have already called Pete to come back out becuase we have some minor repairs need to a house we are vacating and becuase, now that I am in my new house, I have the remodeling bug. Pete has a can do attitud about everything but painting and offers suggestions that are helpful.

Pete and his assistant were timely, professional, helpful and willing to answer any questions we had. We were extremely satisfied with Pete's work. Pete also advised us on a solution to a problem we are having with a toilet leaking that was repaired by a plumber.

pete was great! quick to respond to my communications, project turned out great, was finished in the quoted time and for the quoted price and he was able to fit me into his schedule quickly. I had multiple people to come out and give me a quote for the work and pete was 1/3 of the price of anyone else! I would highly recommend him!!

It went very weil, in fact they were at the house before I returned from taking my grandson to school and ready to work. I'm going to contact them again to replace my kitchen faucet and old copper piping.

I contacted Handyman for Hire to make numberous repiars at my mothers garage, deck and water hose reel fastener to the house. John came over to the property and we discussed at length the options for repairs. Within a few days John sent an email with a list of the repairs we discussed along with a price for materials and labor. I emailed back and agrreed to the price. John and I were both busy so it took a little while to confirm a repair date. On the day of the repairs, John arrived at 9:30 AM with his assistant Chris. John and I again discussed the repairs and various details. Chris began removing the rotten siding from the garage while John left the property to purchase the materials needed for the repairs. Upon John's return, both he and Chris continued working to remove the damaged and rotting facia board and siding from the garage side and corner eve. I supplied paint paint and John purchased the siding, facia board, shingles, and the lattice stain. John and Chris worked at a steady pace throughout the day taking except for when they left to purchase additional materials and grab some lunch. John and Chris returned and resumed the repairs. I was thinking at this point that there was so much work left to do that there would be little chance of finishing today. I was amazed at how much work was getting done during the next three hours. Four panels of garage siding (one of which was an odd trapazoid shape and had to be custom cut to fit), two facia boards above the garage eves, addition board replacement under the garage eve, replacement of the shingles on the corner of the garage roof, caulking under roof shingles and at all siding seams, painting of all newly replaced material, installation of three panels of lattice under the back deck, repair of the hose reel spool fastener to the outside of the house and a free bonus repair of the back gate. All of the work was completed around 3:30 PM. As I looked over the work with John and Chris, I was once again amazed at the nearly seamless transition between the new repairs and the rest of the garage. I could hardly tell what had been done. If someone else was seeing the repairs it for the first time I don't believe they would have noticed where they had occured. Once the work was done, Chris went back and picked up all the nails with a magnet at the site of the garage siding demolition. John and Chris removed all of the left over material but first gave me the option to keep any that I liked. I declined. They were careful to pick up all of the old siding, lumber, and carpentry debris left from cutting the facia board and siding from the yard and driveway. This took about 15 minutes. John then presented me with the bill and I paid him the price quoted. John and Chris left the property around 3:45 PM. I will be quick to recommend Handyman for Hire to anyone I know and I will definitely call them again when I need more repairs. Great Job!

Went over the job and completed in a timely manner.

The installer he referred us to ended up doing a nice job and no extra contract work was necessary. So Pete ended up saving us money and recommended the right thing even though he didn't profit from it. He's very professional and we appreciate his time and effort.

He was very prompt and professional. He arrived when he said he would. He was prepared, courteous and respectful of my house. He finished the job in less than two hours. His price was very reasonable.

Pete and Chris were great to work with. Pete got back to me right away to set an appt. to come out and look at the work to be done in order to prepare an estimate. He was busy with other jobs so it took about a week to get the pricing. Once we set the date for the work, he contacted me ahead of time to review the list so that he could make sure and buy all the materials needed in advance. The work they did was excellent and Pete has quite a bit of expertise. We ran into a few problems along the way due to how the house was constructed and he was always upbeat about it and quickly went to the hardware store to get what was needed get everything up to snuff. They were great about cleaning up and double checking to make sure items were level and more than that, they went above and beyond several times to be of help. I felt bad when we hit snags due to house construction issues because I worried that it would put them behind schedule for their next job. This is something that is important for people to keep in mind when they schedule work to be done with any type of provider. Often things happen on a project that are unforseen and it may cause unexpected extra time that results in the provider having to back up the start date of their following projects. Pete was always nice and said not to worry when I expressed concern when we ran into snags. He said that his goal was to make sure that I was taken care of. I really appreciated that and the great job that Pete and Chris did.

As usual, Pete was very punctual and professional. All the work was done as scheduled in one visit. He is very easy guys to work with and I feel absolutely comfirtable dealing with him.

They have been great. They were exactly what I was looking for. They literally did anything that needed to be fixed. They are very nice and have been very good to work with. They are extremely responsive and professional. I have been very happy with their work.

I called Pete in the morning and left a message. He called back quickly and quoted a price for the removal and replacement of my garbage disposal. I had a new one already at the house. Once he knew the brand he was to remove and replace, he reduced the price as he said they were fairly easy to install. Wow! He showed up that day on time and performed the work. I also asked him to look at a couple of other items that I thought were a problem, but he found none and did not charge me. I paid the price quoted with no "trip fee". I will use him again for sure.

Pete is fantastic. I had him install two items because it was impossible for my husband to do and there is not much that he can't master. These were complicated jobs because of the wiring in the house and the restructuring of a hood vent that was needed. Pete worked his tail off and did everything in a very professional manner. A couple of weeks later we had trouble replacing two can lights in our living room and just called Pete without hesitation. He worked us in and once again did a great job on a complicated task. We will be using him for anything we cant do ourselves. He is great!!

Arrived on time, was very pleasant and worked efficiently, neatly, and well. Honest and reliable, I have recommended them to several people, all of whom think he is great.

He not only repaired that, but found several other weak points that needed attention that he fixed. The neighbors have a pit bull and I have disabled son who spends time in the back yard. I was worried about the dog breaking through the hole. I had asked the neighbor several times to fix the fence and he ignored me each time. I called Pete, and the next day he was out. He came while I was at work, fixed the fence and left the bill on the door for me to mail the payment to him. The bill may have only been $55.00, but he got paid more than that. He definitely underbid and under-quoted his fee. If you need an honest handyman who will not charge you for what you don't need and will get the job done, call him. I will definitely be using him again!

Pete did a good job adjusting my door. Professional and experienced. I'll use him again when I have the need and will recommend him to neighbors.

These guys are the best. They show up when they say will, they do the work they say they will do, the cost is right and the quality of work is exceptional. Pete and his partner are definitely on my call list.
