Rick was great at the work as always ... Did a thorugh examination of the system and tweaked it for the coming hot season .

I highly recommend Rick for your A/C needs he is always quick to respond, does excellent work, is honest and fair. I wouldn't use anyone else for my A/C needs. Rick has fixed and serviced the A/C units at our home also many times.

The evaporator coil in my attic air handler froze up overnight. Called Rick the next morning and he arrived amazingly fast. I described the problem and that freon had been added to the system last season. He asked if the previous contractor had tried to find the leak and I told him no. On the spot he committed himself to finding the leak before he even had a chance to survey the crawlspace to determine how difficult the job would be. Having been the heat and air wholesale business years ago, I got to know dozens of contractors enough to know that if you are just in the business of making money, you don't wast your time finding difficult leaks. So I knew immediately that I found the right guy for the job and that I would be treated well. Rick did not dissappoint. He found the leak, gave me a ton of good advice, and left me with a bill that was more than reasable. He's now at the top of my list of H/A contractors to call. Very good H/A contractor.

Another great experience with Climate Systems Service. My a/c went out late evening on 08/11. i emailed Rick right away. By 7:00am next morning, we'd spoken and arranged that he'd be over in the early afternoon. I appreciated being able to make contact quickly, so I knew I had a solution in the works. Rick arrived around 1:00pm and fixed the problem very quickly. . It was a bad capacitor, which he replaced. So I had a/c again -- more quickly than I hoped AND before the hottest part of an August day. I highly recommend Climate Systems Service.

Rick did a great job. I was with him while he checked it out and he did a good job explaining everything. I was impressed that instead of trying to "upsell" he was very honest and told what and when things needed to be replaced and when not to waste my money. A great guy who is VERY honest.

Rick had been out about 6 weeks ago for our upstairs air conditioning. At that time Rick had given me 3 options and the cost. We both agreed to start with option 1 which was the quickest and least expensive. Option 2 was going to be about $1000 to replace a coil. My wife went upstairs to go to bed and it was about 93 degrees. I sent Rick an email as it was late, said our upstairs air was out again an could he give me a call in the am. Rick called me back in the am, left a message, when I called him, back, he said he would be there in about 30 min as soon as he finished his other Job. Checked things out and it was something totally different than when he was out 6 weeks earlier and we talked about options and my air was up and running 30 min later for $140.00 My point being, is Rick could have told me it was not working again because of why he was here 6 weeks ago and that we need to move to option #2 and replace the coil for another $1,000.00 and I would have not know the difference. So thanks Rick for being an upfront and honest provider. I have passed your info on to the neighbors in case they need to call someone.

My A/C service went out Fri. night. I pay a monthly premium to Hobson A/C for priority "next day" service. Saturday rolls around and Hobson A/C can fit me in Sunday "sometime". (so much for next day service) Sunday rolls around and Hobson calls and state they will be out to see us after 4:00pm (Do you smell something funny by now?) Now 6:00 pm rolls around and Hobson calls and state they are overbooked and will not be able to make it until Monday morning. (really?) By now I'm an expert on their smoke and mirrors, this isn't the first time around the block with these jokers! This was the straw that broke the camel's back, I decided to "Fire" Hobson A/C and went to Angie's list and give them a try! Below is my experience: "When you call an A/C company for service, during the hot Texas summer, on a Sunday evening, at 7:15pm, and expect a live person to answer the phone, much less receive a response that you will be the next stop! I would have laughed in your face! At least I expected a big laugh from the companies I called - so I made a call "Climate System Service" and spoke with a kind gentleman named "Rick". I explained my issue and apologized for calling on a LATE Sunday evening. Rick said "no problem", I would be the next stop (within 30 mins) and all he asked was for me to text him my home address! I did, he showed up, looked at my A/C unit - and said I believe I know what it is, let me test it. He did, it was a capacitor - he replaced it - the A/C is working again, my wife is happy, I am happy, the dogs are happy, the cats are happy! Experience was great. I called and he said I'm on my way and was here the same day. I found the same experience as other reviews. Friendly, honest, professional. Found out we had a leak in the coil. He did not try to sell me anything, just here is what it is, and here are the 3 options and the 3 costs. I made my choice and he said great, fixed it, looked over the other unit too to make sure if looked good and was working properly. I had other companies out when I had a home warranty, they all said something totally different, all had a different way to solve the problems, they all even told us different ways of using our heat/air and heat pumps and most always tried to see a solution that was a few thousand dollars. None of that with Climate Systems. Will call again if I have any issues and have passed his info on to the neighbors too in case they need to call someone they can trust. I felt like he was happy to have us as a customer.

I am a registered Professional Electrical Engineer (retired). I fully understand the system and the malfunction that occurred. I watched the entire troubleshooting and repair process. Rick replaced the failed component at a reasonable price and made no attempt at trying to balloon the task into a higher priced repair. He was efficient quick and professional in his work.

I called Rick after another company wanted $1000.00 to do the job. It took him just a few minutes to confirm that the drip pan was cracked and ordered a new one. Overall, it took just over an hour to install the new pan. I will be calling Rick to service my ac unit in the future.

My A/C went out on Friday evening. I first called another company that I had used before. They quoted my $900 to fix three things, then they tried to sell me a new system for $5000. I called Climate Systems Service Saturday morning bacause of the good reviews here on Angie's List. Rick came out a couple hours after I called him. He quickly determined that the only thing that needed fixed was a capacitor. He fixed it in minutes. He's on the top of my list now!!!

Incredibly good service . No BS at all . Rick is very straight forward and gives the facts . I had a leak in one of my drain pans. Rick was able to find the root cause and fix it . He also gave me good pointers on how to prevent this in future and also gave me a very reasonable quote to replace the pan . He found some installation issues that the otherwise experiences company that installed the system messed up . I wish the other company was on Angies List .. I would have shared my worst experience as well.

I called Rick to get a second opinion. I had another HVAC company come out to do a Service and was not quite convinced with their analysis specifically as am used to them trying to upsell units. I called Rick for a second opinion fully prepared to pay him for the service and be sure the $8000 or so it would cost whomever I go with would be justified. Rick showed up promptly on the day we decided even texting me to ensure I was home before he left, took a look at the problem in question which was an oil leak in the coil. He did actually did show me the problem and discussed alternatives giving me options to either replace the coil ( cheaper most definitely but given the unit was 15 years old if I replace the compressor in a year or 2 would have to replace the coil again) or replace the system with a ballpark pricing he gave me right on the job. I felt he had no vested interest in selling me a unit, he did not push units he installed, told me he liked Trane as well ( given I had a trane) but he could get only certain units in Trane which are not the most high efficiency but offered other brands. I am yet to make up my mind as to how to proceed, but when I asked him how much I owed him for the visit, he said "NOTHING" - second opinions are free. That was something, I felt awful having him come all the way and take a look and being so courteous and not having to pay anything - will definitely look at sending him a gift card of some sorts. Besides his Maintenance plans are really well priced - I will definitely have him back in future.

Rick responded right away and came out the next day to review the system. He is a very honest contractor and even gave us options on simple repairs we could do to extend our system without buying a new one. We went ahead and got a new system and was pleased with the choices offered. Unlike other estimates, he said we were fine with our size and did not need a larger system. The new system is more efficient and should say us money in the long run. I can already tell it does not run as long as our older system and heats the house beautifully. Rick and his crew were courteous, friendly, cleaned up everything before they left, and the whole process took less than 4 hours from start to finish. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

I was very happy. It's a one-man shop. He's a nice guy and always does what he says. I've been real pleased with him.

My A/C quit blowing cool air the previous afternoon, & I dreaded having to call someone out to fix it on what is not only a weekend, but a holiday weekend. By today, the temps inside were rising, so I called Rick because of the excellent reviews he has. (especially the one about the A/C needs on Memorial Day weekend). He answered the phone immediately, and he was out at my house in less than a couple of hours. He is friendly, professional, educational/informative. He worked in a very organized & efficient manner. He explained what was going on with the unit, and did a very cost effective fix. He also cleaned the compressor (cottonwood debris), and did some basic maintenance checks. I am still a bit stunned at the low cost of the repair, and am extremely happy with the whole experience. I wish I had called him yesterday afternoon. I asked him about basic maintenance service plans, and he quoted an extremely reasonable price. My unit is 15 years old, and I'd like to keep it going as long as possible. Thanks for your help Rick.

Quickly diagnosed issue and fixed it.

We placed a service call on an A/C unit on our rental property in Carrollton on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. The temperature outside was 106*. Preliminary diagnosis pointed to a bad condenser. Rick came out right away and determined that the condenser did need to be replaced. With no parts available over a long holiday weekend, Rick scavenged scrapped parts from an old system he had removed from a previous job, and got the unit running again. The tenant was happy, and we're very happy. Truly above and beyond service. BTW, Rick also returns calls and always shows up when he says he will. 5 stars.

He is a very nice down to earth guy. He knows his business. He worked with me on pay when he found out I couldnt afford it. He is very trustworthy. I will use him again if I need him.

Rick quoted me $1700 for a Train coil or $1500 for another brand, I think it was Goodman. I opted for the Train coil. He told me that he would he would have to remove my furnace to replace the coil because he couldn't get the old one out or the new one in due to the placement of the furnace. Based on his reviews on Angie's List we went ahead with it. After getting there and assessing the situation he was able to change out the coil without removing the furnace. When the work was completed he reduced my bill from $1700 to $1200 for the saved labor! Judging by the radio ads I hear these days heating and a/c companies are slow in this winter and I would have no way of knowing if he needed to remove the furnace or not. The fact that he didn't do unnecessary work and was willing to reduce my bill when he saved on costs blows me away. Perhaps my past experience with contractors has jaded me a bit, but I am very skeptical of people with an information advantage over me. Rick was pleasant to deal with, honest, did a good job, and genuinely had my best interests at heart. As long as I live in DFW I won't even consider another heating and a/c company. A++++++++

I called Climate Systems for a diagnosis and estimate of the problems we were having with one of our heating units. Rick came out within a couple of days to check why my furnace wouldn't stay on. Apparently I needed to have the whole furnace replaced. He gave me an estimate on the spot and later that same day emailed the official one over. We agreed to the work and the next day he went and picked up the new furnace and the next day installed it. He was right on time both times he came out to the house. He stayed in contact about what was progressing on the part and the scheduled service time. He was there the whole time the gentlemen were working in the attic, which I really liked that someone I had been working with was present the entire time. Everyone cleaned up great and he showed everything working before they left. The bill was exactly what the estimate was. He even gave me a tip on registering for the warranty and gave me the information to do it right while he was there. Very pleased with the whole experience! Rick was very professional and pleasant to work with!

He was honest. Fair prices and no work that needed to be done. He did tell me that there was something wrong with the a/c system that would still be covered on my home warranty.

Owner/operator was my primary contact. Pleasure to work with. Did all that he said he would do. Price was so much better than other bids and the units work well, I did have issue with heater first time. Contractors accidentally punched small hole in ceiling but fixed it when I showed them.

Excellent experience. He was on time, professional, and helpful. I would recommend this company.

Rick was able to meet me just after calling him and took a look at the unit. He diagnosed the problem quickly as the fan timer. This is an old unit so he did not have the part in stock and would have to order it, but bypassed the timer so that the fan would run continuously since it would take the part several days to come in. That was fine as this is the fan that circulates the air in the house and not the condenser fan outside on the unit. He came back several days later and installed the new timer and at that time billed me for the service call that he had previously made and the work that he performed that day.
