Partridge Plumbing

I had no hot water and thought the pilot light had gone out. I checked the heater and found water in the pan and on the garage floor next to it. I called Partridge Plumbing because I had been very satisfied with a previous plumbing job he'd performed. (About a month earlier, I'd called him to fix both toilets. One ran all the time and the flushing mechanism was broken on the other. Shane Partridge fixed both for a reasonable price.) Mr. Partridge told me he was on a job but would come by after it. He came within ninety minutes. At first look, he thought I'd need a new unit. He told me once a water heater leaks it needed to be replaced. He checked all the valves and pipes anyway and found that one of my pipes was leaking. During the inspection, he pointed out sloppy workmanship of previous plumbers and told me how I could save money on gas and electric by installing a timer. No plumber had ever mentioned that my gas water heater was running all the time and that I could turn it off and on automatically. Replacing my gas water heater would have been $1,000. When I asked Shane if this was an estimate, he said it was the actual price I'd pay. In the past, I've worked with other plumbers who only gave me estimates. If and when I replace my water heater I will use Partridge Plumbing and for all my future plumbing needs.

We have used Partridge Plumbing previously, so when the Big Deal was offrered we decided to take advantage of it. Since we have 2 tanks, we paid $89 times 2. Just a few days after purchasing the Big Deal, our 15-year-old garbage disposal failed, so we contacted Partridge Plumbing and Shane came out that same day. Given his scheduling flexibility, he was able to take care of the disposal plus perform the water tank services. I will add that in the past, he has been able to come out on very short notice when we experienced problems. His prices are fair, and the quality of his work is high. We consider him to be our primary plumber, and would recommend him with complete confidence.

Very professional and responsive

Shane was great! He probably knew immediately what the problem was, but eased me into the situation! Of course, a slab leak is not something easily identified and repaired, let alone, mentally accepting the fact that my floors would be jack-hammered! But Shane prepared me for the what to expect, walked me thru' every detail, as we were hoping for the best but expecting the worse. Shane then went to work on the problem, makinig 2 holes in the foundation, and rerouting the pipes as he stated he would. He then had the holes patched and the rooms cleaned up, and everything tested/verified was in tact, even before my insurance adjuster arrived! He also had the paperwork filled out perfectly for the insurance claim. He also recommended and installed alarm sensors to alert us if we ever have water issues upstairs, saving us from future pain and agony :-). I could tell immediately that he was experienced and professional! I'll be calling him for anything in the future, and I highly HIGHLY recommend his services to anyone needing a master plumber! I can't say enough great things about his work, quality, price and professionalism!!

It went very well. Shane is a perfectionist and he doesn't give up! He went the extra mile unlike many "service?" providers often do in the corporate world. He is a keeper...we plan to use him on our other plumbing needs. As a matter of fact we are having him put in new hot water heaters. We trust him to do an excellent job. **Update: Partridge Plumbing installed two hot water heaters and did an excellent job! It's nice having the owner of the company doing his own work...and it is obvious Shane Partridge takes great care and pride in doing a quality service. I highly recommend Partridge Plumbing. Cost $1,300.00 **Update: 'Called Partridge Plumbing, on 05/24/2015, to ask Shane a question about the "Flood Stop" devices he installed on our two hot water heaters back in 2013. He could have just given me the answer over the phone, but he happened to be in our neighborhood when I called, and he said he would be right over. All that was needed was another set of batteries for both "Flood Stop" units, which he installed, free of charge (we provided the batteries). Shane was very nice. I also had a shower head chlorine filter I was going to install on our master bath shower and Shane said he would do it, it only took a few minutes. He insisted on not charging us, despite the fact he was clearly on his day off, he had been fishing. We think Shane and his company, Partridge Plumbing, are both A+++!

Partridge Plumbing was fine. He was very knowledgeable and he knew exactly what he was doing and he did it timely. Overall, I guess because he is a Master Plumber and you pay for that. He was very expensive because he was more than what I have paid for. I paid an additional $230. He was here for maybe an hour and a half. The work was good and the quality was good.

He looked over the entire system testing line pressure at various locations. He drained the hot water heater to see if there were tainted water or deposits in the tank. All was ok.

It was great. The service was quick and they were nice.

great. He alerted us to a problem we were not aware of which is a back up in the air conditioning line causing the leak in the upstairs plumbing. He also alerted us to the fact that our water heater that was installed in 94 is passed it's recommended use. since it's upstairs and it was a very inexpensive unit the builder installed we are looking at Partridge Plumbing to install a new one.

Our sump pump for our house sewer went out New Year's Eve. Several plumbers would either not return our calls or said they were on their way but never showed up. Partridge arrived 8 am New Year's Day. The 90 pound pump had to be ordered- the local stores were all closed for the holiday. He emptied our sewer tank so we could at least flush toilets until the new pump arrived. Then he installed the pump when it came. He was great.

Service was professional and on time. Even pointed out where prior water heater installation was not performed up to code. Advised us how to contact the city for an inspection and how to deal with the company who originally did the work. Really appreciated the honesty and helpfullness.

I was incredibly impressed with the excellent service provided by Partridge Plumbing. He said he would need to check with his scheduler but didn't think he would be able to come until the next morning. He promptly returned my call and said he would be at my house in about half an hour. He was at my home within less than that time! He was very professional and thoroughly explained the work that needed to be fixed. I would highly recommend Partridge Plumbing and most definitely be using this company again.

Have been consistently pleased with Shane's plumbing services so didn't hesitate to call and schedule him to replace older fixtures with newer oiled-rubbed bronze fixtures in all bathrooms. It would have been smarter on my part to have had Shane come first to evaluate all of the fixtures and tell me exactly what to purchase to replace them as easily as possible. However, my impatience got the best of me and I had all the fixtures purchased when he arrived to install. Unfortunately I didn't match manufacturers and then I didn't match model numbers so I had to do some real-time returns/purchases while Shane worked on what he could. He also fixed an issue in the shower/tub that should never have passed initial inspection after the home was built! He cleaned away all materials and old fixtures and pointed out anything notable. I appreciated his professionalism and quality and highly recommend him to anyone in his service area for plumbing needs!

He came when scheduled and finished up within an hour. He actually asked if I had anything else that needed to be done because he evidently planned an hour for the deal price, and my new water heater serviced very quickly.

This plumber was excellent. Came out late Saturday night to fix clogged main line. Did not have the proper tool. Said he'd come back first thing Sunday morning. He did, and fixed it right away. He went out of his way to help, charged a fair price, and did quality work. Highly recommended.

I read through many reviews before deciding on Partridge Plumbing, and liked that Shane was not only the owner but the actual plumber doing the work. I initially left a voicemail and he returned my call within 30 minutes - we set up an appt and he showed up on time and as promised. He quickly assessed the problems with each, gave us the cost with the option of continuing the work as well as options with different costs depending on the hardware we selected. We chose to have all 3 issues fixed and he was finished within the hour. Great timing as my mother-in-law was showing up 2 hours later to stay for a week. As an additional customer service, he took a look at our water heater and furnace, and made recommendations for each. On one hand, sure, he's looking for other opportunities for business, but for us, it was like a free check-up and having some information to base future decisions upon.

They showed up within the promised arrival times.. had all of the parts required and had everything repaired or replaced within 2 to 3 hours. It was suggested that because the WH was in the attic, I purchase a water leak detector that will automatically shut the water off to the WH when a leak is detected. He stated retail price was $600.. but that he would give it to me for $300 installed.. I thought it was a good idea but a bit expensive.. but did agree to have it installed.. and I'm glad that I did.. peace of mind.. Also want to note that replacement of the wax seal was requested AFTER they arrived. I had had another company out twice before to correct the problem with no positive results. This company realized that the problem was an uneven floor and shimmed the toilet. We've had no problems with it since they made the repair. I marked this company down on professionalism because of the approach on the shutoff valve.. The valve is readily available on line for $100... 100% markup would have put the price at $200. So the $600 number was a little outlandish. Even with the added expense of the shutoff valve and the toilet repair..the total bill was kept to the estimate that was quoted for the WH alone.. Overall, the quality of work was excellent.. I will definitely call them again when I require the services of a plumber.. 5/10/2013 - After having read Shane's comments, of which I totally agree, I have changed my price evaluation and professionalism to an "A".. I really appreciate the quality of workmanship and his ability to see us right away; after 3 1/2 months we've had absolutely no problems with any of the work his company did.. He did leave out one thing though.. He also fixed a very slow drain in the tub of the front bathroom.. :) I was too hasty in my assessment ... Please accept my apologies.. and my phone call the next time I need help!!

He fixed the problem and has not had any other problems.

We had been advised by a gas company tech to have a plumber come out and service our outside gas meter line. He felt there would be potential problems if nothing was done. We had originally set up an appointment with a plumber our heating and air company recommended. After reading reviews on Angie's List, we decided to cancel them and call Shane Partridge. All I can say is what a wonderful experience I had in meeting Shane! He had returned my phone call promptly and was at my house within 10 minutes of calling me back! He inspected the gas meter and explained that everything was fine and why that was so. I asked him a few more questions about other concerns, such as possibly replacing hot water pipes and hoses, and after checking them, he told me not necessary, that everything was all good! One of the reasons I called Shane was reading about the trust people had in him. Based on my experience, I understand why. He could have easily said I needed things done. I am thrilled to have found him because the reviews were absolutely true; he is what people are looking for in any service provider: honest, professional, reliable, someone who is very good at what he does and will make sure it is done right. And I will happily recommend him to anyone needing a plumber. Thank you Shane!

Shane was quick to return my call and repaired my faucet the next day. He was also responsive to my texts when I had questions. I don't know what this kind of service normally runs, but the price seemed fair to me. I would not hesitate to call him again. So far the white powder has not returned (5 days so far).

the service was never performed. he emailed us to inform us we were not in his service area. We then had to wait several weeks before Angie's List returned our money. This is why I have not used Angie's List again. I don't want to buy something that isn't going to happen, only to have Angie's list keep my funds for several weeks.
