Smith Lawn & Tree

Did a nice job and cleaned up nicely, taking out all debris. I don't believe they 'rolled' the sod after installed, but the really prepped the area very well, so it wasn't really necessary. Very professional from first contact through job complete--charging was right in line with estimate (even ground up a couple small stumps that I had forgotten about during the estimate walk-around). Strongly recommend.

The technician was so friendly, and he took the time to teach me how to change the sprinkler heads myself. He explained how the system worked and gave me some recommendations.

He planted some monkey grass and 3 little shrubs. The grass did good but the people he sent didn't plant the shrubs very deep and some of my shrubs died right away. The plants are supposed to be guaranteed for a year and I have called him several times and he said he would come right out to fix it and he never came back. I am disappointed because he doesn't do what he says he is going to do. ****UPDATE***** 4/30/10 He came out and replaced the shrubs that had died. I am now satisfied and he made good on his word.

All of the work exceeds my expectations. The job was done as promised at the price quoted. I had asked several companies to bid this job, Smith was right in line price wise with the others. I selected Smith because Russell Simpler was the only person to recognize that the natural drainage was the opposite direction of the existing drain. All of the other quoting companies wanted to tie into the existing french drain which may have created an even worse drainage problem. I was very pleased with the quality of the work, the responsiveness to my questions/concerns. I would definitely use this company again. Russell called to let me know when the lighting was delayed, the only unforeseen event during the job.

They were excellent. They gave me a good price, as compared to some other folks that I had checked with. The price was fine and the quality was excellent. They did a good job and they cleaned up. They were quick and efficient. They were polite and did what they said they would. They got out of my way and I went on with my life. They did exactly what they said, exactly when they said and at the exact price they quoted. You couldn?t tell they had been here because they did such a good job of cleanup.

They are very efficient and super nice to work with. Everyone there is very nice and they are very helpful with design ideas. They will be coming out soon to do more work.

They were very patient. To get a landscaping plan it was going to cost us $450 given that they did an individually done color plan and not a computerized one. We did not get that. We have a house in one lot and we have two more lots. Their total was $39000 to do everything and that was not including plants, but including a patio, a brick sitting area, and a raised garden. The price for the plants and planting them was $12000. He was extremely punctual. He answered any questions and was very professional. I know that they did 2 trees across the street and the people were very pleased. I don't have any complaints. It just came down to the pricing and the plans and the ability for us to effectively communicate what we wanted. They were always very responsive. They returned calls promptly and came out when they said they were coming out. We would probably not use them in the future because of the price. I don't doubt their ability and I think they do a very professional job. I felt a little bit intimidated by him, but that was more a personality thing and it was just more my feeling. He knew what he was exactly talking about.

Overall, I was pleased with the service and I would use them again if needed.

Very nice people from start to finish, we were very happy and will call them again,very fair in price where others wanted to gauged us, cleaned up the the tree limbs they cut down and put them in truck and grinded them down.

They charge us on a monthly basis. We are very happy with them. They also do lawn and yard work, lawn irrigation, and lawn fertilization and treatment. They trim the trees and the hedges. They move around the flower bed stuff and so on.

They came out after my first call and gave me a bid. They returned when they said they would to do the job. They explained everything they needed to do and why. They cleaned up everything and were very professional. I will definitely use them in the future.

They got here when they were suppose to, did a good job, and cleaned up nicely. Their prices were reasonable.

He came out and gave us an estimate. I was not here when he did the work and it was not completed when he asked for the bill. I told them to come out to complete the tree service. They came back again when I was not there, but didn't finish trimming the tops of the Youpons. I gave up and just let it go. They did a good job on the oak trees. My advice is to be there when the work is being done when possible.

It went very well. I was out of town and handled everything over the phone. I received a bid on a Tuesday, approved it, requested that the work be done on the following Friday and it was complete on that Friday by noon.

Our call for an estimate was answered right away and either Russell or Cody met with us a couple days later. From the very beginning they and their crew were always on time,pleasant to work with and knowledgable about any questions or concerns we had. All of our expectations were met or exceded, and our property was completely cleaned up when they were done. We know we definitely made the right decision in choosing Smith Lawn & Tree to meet our needs.

I use Smith Lawn & Tree because they do a good job. When you call them to do something special, they don?t take very long to call you back and set up an appointment. They do the work within a week. When they do special things, like trees and shrubs, they charge a little bit more but their prices are really competitive.

This was a great experience. Jud Smith came by and gave me an estimate on the work. His crew, with Frederico leading the way, showed up on time and went right to work. They trimmed my trees and left them symetrical and looking great. They cleaned up the fence area, disposed of the limbs and debris and then they were off. The invoice came in a timely manner and even allowed me to pay online with a credit card. That is a terrific convenience for me. I will call them again soon to have some landscape work done.

I called on 7-21-2009 for service call to repair/replace a single sprinkler head. Phone answered by a human - no voice mail! Initially, I talked with a secretary who told me "Brad" would call me back. Brad called within an hour and told me that they charge $75 per hour with a 1 hour minimum plus parts ($5 per sprinkler head). I gave him the okey to schedule me. He told me it would be later on in the week but they would call me back the next day to inform me of the scheduled time. The next day I receive a call from a serviceman. He was in the neighborhood and shows up at my door within 15 minutes. He was very cordial and professional. Thankfully, he could speak english. Within 5 minutes he had replaced my damaged sprinkler head. He then walked my lawn to evaluate my other sprinkler heads. Another sprinkler had its coverage compromised by growing shrubs. He alleviated that by replacing the non-pop up head with a 4" pop up that then allowed adequate coverage of the entire flower bed. He was finished in approximately 20 minutes total time. Now I am an old f*** and I consider $75 for a service call a tad bit high. I can remember when service calls ran ... well, I did say I am an old f*** and that was then and this is now. I was impressed by the fact this company's phone was answered by a human and not a machine. My service request was very small and probably more of a nuisance compared to the jobs this company desires, yet they responded promptly, so kudo's to them. Finally, the serviceman represented his company well.

I speak with Mr. Brad Nutt. He and his team have proven to be professional, proficient and reliable. From first came to providing the quote and design to starting the real work, this crew was alway punctual. The quality of their work was excellent. If there is such a thing called perfect work, then it is my stone mailbox they built! I pointed out two very samll issues during back yard planting. 1.some plants should be planted deeper, and 2. two double knockout roses were so mall and not looking good. Actually I only wanted to know what his reaction was, because personality matters! Brad responed he was going to replace the roses. But I told him not to since I have the confidence they were going to come back to life. For the front yard, under my request, they built the stone boarder on the grage side flower bed. I realized I was wrong about the shape and size after they already finished the work. My husband and I were so worried and afraided that it couldn't be redone. However, there was no problem at all. They redid it the next day at a very reasonable cost! Surprises? Yes, many of them, but in a good way. 1. they removed so much more rockes (8-12") than stated in the quote (6") from my back yard, for this of course they brought in more top soil than I expected. 2. they always clean up so well after a day's work. Some mess was left by me, but they haul off anyway. 3. the workers always asked "is this OK?" if you are on the site. A few times I asked to adjust the plant location they do it immediately. They are so nice to deal with! I have been getting a lot of work done to the yard and have hired a few different contracters. Brad was the best experience I had, bar none.
