Deans has provided annual maintenance for my tankless water heater for years. Providing expert work in a very professional manner for a fair price. This year with the great freeze I had water leaking through my ceiling from the attic after the pipes that were frozen began to thaw a bit. Called another Plummer first to get the water shut off and determine where the leak was coming from. While he was able to determine that the water leak was in the hot water line he was unable to determine where the leak was or exactly and his repair approach was to tear apart my ceiling to find the leak. I then called Dean, which I should of done first. They showed up within 30 minutes, which blew me away considering the demand for plumbers at the time. After a through inspection they located the source of the leak, in the tankless water heater. Based upon a through review of the problem including speaking to the manufacturer, gave me a couple of options of repair vs. purchase new unit. We chose to replace the damaged unit, and they completely installed the next day and we once again we had hot water. They did a great job in a timely manner for a fair price. Great company which I highly recommend for any plumbing projects.

They came out twice. They had to go get the replacement faucet from somewhere. The work was good. I think the price was high even though I can't tell what is what.

They came and took out the old and put in a new one. There's nothing I can think of to improve their service.

Very well. Sink drain had accumulated over 47-years of "gunk". Normal cleaning with power "snake" could not clear the drain. Had to use "hydro jetting" to clean out entire drain system. Results were excellent.

Ronnie and Chris were very timely and explained everything that needed to be done. The work was done quickly and Ronnie was nice enough to answer questions about our new place. The dishwasher was new and there were questions of whether it would fit but they were optimistic about getting the job done.

Great guy responsive completed the job timely and was very easy to work with.  They removed 3 hot water heaters from several areas in our attic.  Re-routed all plumbing and replaced with a high-end tank-less system.

I placed a call with American Home Shield for a repair, but the service provider they assigned couldn't be on site for three days--and we had no hot water.  I found that to be unacceptable.
I called Dean's plumbing directly because of their documented experience with Navien tankless water heaters.  They had a master plumber on site within the hour.   The issue with our Navien tankless water heater was a quick fix.   Josh took the time to call Navien to log the error and the repair for future reference and to get additional advice based upon his findings.
Sarah who booked the service was polite and professional.  Josh was knowledgeable about the Navien system, friendly and professional.   I will definitely use Dean's again.

The original installers of the Tankless system - Premier Plumbers of Texas in essence told me to find someone else as they only do new construction homes now! I located Dean's Plumbing on Naviens web-site for approved service providers, and it was my good fortune. Sara, Josh and Jason were outstanding and committed to resolving the problem as quickly as possible. So far there actions have surpassed there words, they have conveyed to me that they are committed to customer service and satisfaction and a drama free customer experience. Job well done! My first call for plumbing will be to Dean's

We moved into a home and didn't like the cheap shallow stainless sink.  We purchased a large single basin sink online and Dean's Plumbing was recommended to us for installation.
Amazing customer service.  Would not hesitate to use again.  Ryan was AWESOME!  He noticed the sink we bought online had a crack in it and returned the next day after we bought a new one from Lowes.  Then we didn't link the faucet we had purchased (it splashed too much and was too high) and he returned the next day to change it out to a different one (new one was KOHLER FORTE...highly recommmend!)
Sarah and Melissa were always pleasant and Sarah answered the phone at 9:30 pm (I had planned on leaving a message!).
They are a great company.  Don't worry about negative reviews...it seems most of those reviewers have more issues with the home warranty company....not Dean's.
Hire them for your next job!!!

As a first time homeowner of a 1950's house, my experience with Dean's plumbing has been beyond horrendous.
I asked for an energy star rated gas water heater installation with some repairs to the piping that goes out through the roof.  The young man that came out was nice, and he appeared to do an OK job.  However, he did not have Dallas county come out to inspect the job afterwards.  Additionally, when I tried to find the manufacturer's certificate at tax time to claim the tax break for buying an energy star rated water heater, I found that it was only labeled "energy efficient".   I called Dean's and the manager just sympathetically apologized, but gave me 10% off future services.
We started having issues more and more with smelling natural gas around the water heater.  I called Dean's and the same guy that installed came out and took a look.   He just couldn't figure out why we would be having issues.  We also had Atmos come out and do a leak test.  No leaks.
Eventually we called Dallas County and had them come out to do the inspection the plumbing company never requested.  We had called Dean's multiple times and asked them to get the county out to inspect.  They promised they would and never did it.
The inspector found a fire hazard from the pipe up to the roof (it was charring the roof) and we needed a vent in the water heater closet for better ventilation.  Bottom line, they failed the inspection.  The plumber wasn't even knowledgeable enough to know what he had done wrong to begin with.  I don't even think he understood what a real energy star rated water heater was, which is why he messed that up too.
I'm sure Dean's does a fine job with small issues, but I wouldn't rely on this company AT ALL with anything that has to do with your safety and well being.  After the job was completed correctly two years later, we haven't had a natural gas incident since.

Where the water main entered my water softener, the seal had weakened and the pipe had a slow leak.    I dug up the area and exposed everything.  My house is up for sale and we have a home warranty on it and per suggestion from my Realtor, I called them to see if they would fix it.  They sent over Dean's Plumbing.
The plumber did arrive on time and proceeded to look and analyze things for about 20 minutes upon where he came in and asked me if I had received my phone call from the home warranty company yet.  I hadn't.  As soon as he asked, I did.  They proceeded to tell me that since the pipe was external, it is not covered.  Ok, fine.  They did say that because their agent did not communicate that to me up front, they would cover the service charge that brought the plumber to my house.  I wouldn't owe anything.
Ok, home warranty is out.  I then ask the plumber how much it would cost for him to do it w/out the warranty.  He replies, $600.  I am visibly taken aback and ask him why so high.  He goes on to explain that he has to rip out all the old pipe and "re-copper" the whole thing and there is a lot more digging that has to take place.  I tell him that I will not do it for that price.  I ask for his hourly rate and he wouldn't provide one.  It is per job.  I tell him that I will go get some other plumbers to give me some estimates.  I'm not living in the house, so this isn't a rush job.  He asks me, "So what would you expect this to cost?"  I answer that I don't know and that is why I am seeking the other estimates.  He does the "Let me go talk to my boss.." routine and goes off to his van for 15 minutes while I go back to doing other work.  He comes back and says he will do it for $400.  I recently had a plumber out to redo a shower faucet and it cost that much for 4 hours of work and if he has to do what he says, it may take a while... so I agree.
He says he has to run off to Home Depot to get the parts.  30 minutes later he comes back and starts working.  15 minutes later, he is finished.  I go out to inspect what he did, to see this "re-coppering" and digging... and didn't find it.  He had gone and got a pair of those rubber segments with the auto-clamping mechanism on the ends.  He had cut the two PVC pipes and just fashioned a new L joint and snapped it in..  There was not any soldering or glue or copper.  I have no idea how long those will hold up.  My main line goes through there.
He then proceeds to half-way fill in the hole and says he is finished.  As we are filling out the paperwork and ringing up the final charges, he says that I still owe him for the original service fee of $80.  I explain that the warranty company said they were going to take care of that and he states that is false and I still owe it.  Ugh.  So I pay it.
I do not like being lied to about the services you tell me you are going to do and cite a price for yet do something different.
I also do not like paying $480 for essentially 1 hour of work.  15-20 minutes of talking to his boss about the warranty situation plus 30 minutes at Home Depot plus 15 minutes of real work.

I did not attempt to use the shower stall until 4-days later, the date of this report. Either the plumber did not install a new washer as he indicated or he did and it made absolutely no difference with my hot water cut off problem, but if that were all I would not be writing this report to warn others about using this company.-----Having somewhat of a difficult time accepting the fact that a $450 total replacement of my shower stall hardware was legitimate to bring back my water pressure, I took it upon myself to remove the entire metal/rubber shower wand assembly I suggested to the  plumber might be the problem - the potential of which he summarily dismissed. ---Guess what, when removed and the original shower head reinstalled, the water pressure ran me out of the shower stall soaking wet. It was as good as it had ever been. The shower wand assembly had just somehow become partially(mostly) blocked. There was no need of an expensive replacement of my entire shower stall hardware. ---One of two things. Either the plumber Dean's sent out was not even able to follow a simple customer suggestion of what the problem might be or, and I fear this is the case,he wasn't so dumb after all and was just setting me up for the kill. Either way, no one needs this kind of ineffeciency or dishonesty. Take your pick.

Ronnie Dean, the owner, is a very professional man. I found the service to be expensive. Scheduling was problematic. The staff didn't understand the second time that I was having a pantry put in but that it didn't preclude them from coming out and putting in my water heater. If I had not been persistent my water heater wouldn't be in for four days from today! AHS was exceedingly unprofessional in this case - I felt the Dean's people did the best they could in that regard. I have my doubts about this AO Smith gas water heater. I asked about potential code issues and was assured there would be no issues. We shall see. Ronnie Dean, Scott and his helper were very knowledgeable - they knew what they were doing - and I had a lot of questions which they answered logically. We felt Terry did his best. Citing his desired to be perfect, Scott had one issue in which he lost his composure, however, he recovered quickly, found the solution and implemented it . The pan sitting under the water heater was bent considerably. I was surprised that it was so light in nature since I remember a very thick such pan in our basement as a child under our water heater. All three of these technicians worked very, very hard and did their best - as far as I could tell. I was disappointed that the need for electricity for our flow control device wasn't brought up before. If they had offered the device to us - we could have had an outlet placed in the water heater closet. As it is now we have hole in our living room wall adjacent to the water heater closet. The flow control device takes "C" batteries but we assumed it would use so many it would be annoying so we went with the AC adapter option. Overall we found the work quality to be on par. The professionalism at times was lacking: they didn't provide their own matts or runners for floors - they didn't immediately clean up the messes as they occurred but worst of all like a lot of plumbers they have old world approach to appointment setting and information flow making things difficult to say the least. If they'd sent me a calendar item - even from a free service like Google Calendar - I would have noted a conflict in terms of the installation immediately. All of their techs need the same Blackberry or Apple smart phone devices and they need to leverage the free tools out there. I tend to award an "A" in a given category when the work is very good - outstanding in fact - so a "B" for me isn't bad it's just not great. They are awfully expensive - thus the "D" grade. AHS chooses the vendor we do not in these cases.

We have a child with some health issues. I requested a non-smoking tech for the job. Dean's Plumbing is very understanding and was able to work with my situation. Both visits were dealt with in a very professional manner, but the technicians are able to add a "friendly" atmosphere to the task at hand in addition to getting the job done right. (Ryan was lead and I'm sorry, but I have forgotten the other gentleman's name - also great guy) Have used this company twice and will continue to do so as needed due to the outstanding customer service provided by the techs as well as the office personnel.

I called them on New Years Eve Day (Friday) and they promptly answered the phone and took my information. The service technician, Kevin, came out that afternoon to look at a leak under my kitchen sink that was coming from a bad compression joint as well as another valve. Kevin informed us that he didn’t have the parts and wouldn’t be able to get them until Monday but that he wouldn’t charge us the $89 service visit fee until the Monday visit. He also quoted us a price of $250 to fix the leak. I thought this was excessive and called Monday to ask them not to return until I could check this price out with other local plumbers. Russell, the manager, assured me that this was a very competitive price. This seemed too high of a price for such a small fix, especially given that the company I later had do the repair only spent a half an hour timewise and $6 at Lowe’s for one replacement part.
