Working with Forest Blaney was enjoyable all his crew members are easy to work with as well. The work he did was  excellent from start to finish. Mr Blaney stayed on the job sight most of the time supervising his  crew.  I would recommend him, first class work.

The designs and drawings were very professional and detailed with a comprehensive cost estimate. The crew was always on schedule and was very closely monitored and supervised by the owner of the company every day which was very appreciated.  The landscape architecture was impressive and I have had numerous compliments by neighbors and people passing by.   The crew was very friendly, tidy and hardworking.  The entire site was thoroughly cleaned after the job was completed.

We met with Mr Forrest Blaney A.S.L.A., who is a landscape architect, in the late fall and went over our concerns for the need of a retaining wall.  He came back very quickly with a large scale, very professional drawing and materials list.  He explained in detail his plan.  While talking to Mr Blaney it was obvious that he loved stone and was proud of his work.  Blaney has a very nice website with photos of past jobs.  We had to wait for weather to clear then in early March commenced the work.  He handled all the city permits.  Mr Blaney has a great crew who work hard and each of them pays attention to quality and detail.  He is personally on site almost the entire work time.  Blaney showed us what was happening each step oft he way.  When finished, they left the work are clean, neat and as returned to normal as possible.

Forrest personally supervised all aspects of the job and kept us fully informed on the status of the project as it proceeded. I have had similar work done in the past, by other companies, and have never felt that the quality of their work was equal to the amount of money I was charged. In this case with Blaney, I got more than my value for what I paid. In addition, Blaney was patient and took great care to listen to what my wife and I wanted. We are more than satisfied.

They did a great job. He was very easy to work with and was very responsive. He listened to what we wanted and was very good to get something within our price range. The stonework was as close to perfect as I have ever seen. He is an excellent craftsman whom I would highly recommend .

I found Blaney Stonework & Landscape on Angie's List and felt the reviews for this company far surpassed reviews for other companies. Forrest Blaney met with my husband and I in May to discuss our initial issue with drainage in the back yard.  He had several recommendations regarding the gutters which we pursued and immediately executed with Dallas Gutters.  We discussed the possibility of not only correcting the drainage issue but also doing hardscape around the pool, extension of the patio, a pad for the hot tub/spa and lastly completely redoing the landscape in the front and back yards. He gave us a list of finished projects to look at and we were very impressed with the work.  About a week later he came back with a preliminary design and a phased approach to the project.  We elected to have him do the entire job.  It was a delight to watch the crew tear out all the old overgrown bushes and the old concrete walkways, including the one to the street.  They were like bees around honey!  Since nothing had been done to the yards in decades, the neighbors were also very interested in the beehive of activity.  Forrest's crew was amazing; everyone knew his job and did it well.  His stone masons did a fabulous job on all the stonework around the flower beds and fitting all the flagstone like a puzzle.  Forrest was very hands on and was on site during the entire process, many times picking and placing the most interesting pieces of stone. The approach to our house and the front door landing is wonderful and so inviting;  previously it just scared people away!!  The back yard is now a haven to be enjoyed. We no longer had a pool full of grass after mowing since the entire surrounding area is now either hardscape or river rock.  The plantings Forrest chose are beautiful, some annuals, some perennials, hardy trees, and boulders.  Forrest has a network of specialists to reach out to for such things as stump grinding and concrete work.  He also recommended an irrigation specialist whom we hired to install complete system (Bean Irrigation).  We couldn't be happier with our new yards and have received many complements from our neighbors.

They did a good job and they were very professional.

He had given me a quote and said if I used another material, it would be significantly less.  A couple of weeks later, when I told him that maybe I was interested in getting the work done, he said he would figure it out and tell me about the cost and when he told me the cost, he said it wasn't any less.  I told him that he said it would be significantly less, but he replied saying it was not.  He changed his tune and that is why I never used him.  His estimate was reasonable.  It was around $14,000 to $16,000 for the retaining wall and around $15,000 for the fence.  He was a nice guy, seemed honest, and I thought he would do a good job.  I just did not like the fact that he changed; that was a little dishonest.  I knew that the cost of the material for the retaining was cheaper than the original.  He was great in every way and I was definitely going to go with him.  He was extremely punctual and his follow up was fantastic; better than any other contractor that I have gotten quotes from.  He was a great contractor and was reliable; I do not think people would have problems with him. I wouldn't use him because I found somebody that I really liked.

The workers came on the scheduled date. They were very professional. Suffice it to say that I'm very pleased... and so are my neighbors. The planters are exceptionally beautiful. They were built with a random pattern of stones of different thicknesses so they are completely unique.The four workers had about 70 years of masonry experience between them. 

We were having a complete landscaping project done and I asked our landscape architect (Dubberly Landscaping) for a good wall-builder. I specifically said I didn't want to come back in 15 years and see our wall sagging.

They said there's only one person to use: Forrest Blaney and Blaney Stonework.

Forrest and his crew were fast, professional, and skilled. They used the large highway-type stones and it is a solid, beautiful wall!

I am so happy with his work we're using him on a custom patio and bench project at our office building.

The stone masons were professional, courteous and creative.  At the end of each workday, the jobsite was left clean and uncluttered, with materials stacked neatly for future use.  The crew worked tirelessly with very few breaks.   Forrest provided on-site, hands-on supervision throughout the project and he provided council and leadership in plant selection and purchase.
The elements of the project were scheduled efficiently.  Deliveries and installations were executed seamlessly.
Forrest has exhibited interest in the ongoing well being of the new plants, offering to have his staff visit the site to

hand-water where necessary.
Our project had a time constraint.  Everything was finished according to schedule.
We look forward to working with Forrest to implement other elements of our master plan.
