As a lawyer who has represented business and nonprofits alike for over 25 years, I have a working knowledge of corporate law and governance, formation, issues relating to federal and state tax exemption, officer and director liability, and charitable giving. But with a similar working knowledge of special needs issues including government benefits, I am uniquely qualified to represent organizations that cater to a special needs clientele. I have handled the formation of all types of corporate entities, application for federal tax exemption, conducting of corporate board meetings, issues regarding governance and associated matters. I work with families at virtually every stage of life of the special needs individual – from the early stages of diagnosis and intervention, through school and transition into adulthood, guardianship, work and supportive employment to retirement age. Each stage of life has its own challenges and issues and I want to work as counsel to your family to anticipate those issues and needs. I also have developed a network of providers within the special needs community and can refer you to outside resources where appropriate.
