We asked TSR for an estimate to replace our damaged roof. Jay Williamson came out and gave us a very thorough estimate and suggested adding a roof vent as we did not have one. I appreciated the professionalism. We ended up with a different company due to a slightly lower price and they were able to fix it in a faster time frame. Jay had said 2 weeks. However, I would consider Texas Star roofing again.

These guys were on time, kept appointments, made the repair, explained it all and were great. A leak that we have had for years was finally fixed. We had the original roofer out three times and it was never fixed. This repair was done right and the leak is gone.

Called on late Tuesday evening, was contacted by the representative early Wednesday morning.  The representative came out that same morning and preformed repairs to severals areas on the roof.  The indivdual was professional and courteous , performed repairs quickly.  I would use this company again as well as recommend them to friends and family.

"I'm sorry. I did make an appointment and did not show up or call. We've had tremendous volume of calls due to severe storms. I had a stickey note covering this appointment in my date book and missed it. I did call after I discovered my error to apologize and see if I could reschedule and got no response. Now I understand why. Again, I'm sorry."

Jay was very courteous and professional.  He kept his appointments and always returned my calls promptly.  The quality of work was excellent and he worked well to meet my requirements.  The materials used were of high quality unlike what you might find at some large home improvement stores.  The crew painted the soffit vents to match my house paint - I provided the paint.  Everything was cleaned up after the work.  We have had several extremely windy days and a couple of rain storms since the installation and I did not see any signs of leaking after inspecting the vents in the attic.  I'm much more comfortable having a roofing company install the vents instead of other companies in order to make sure there are no leaks after the installation.  I'm happy with the job that Texas Star roofing performed and would recommend them to friends.

Jay Williamson examined the roof, and interior and prepared a comprehensive estimate. We received a professional contract with insurance certificate. Jay answered my questions directly with no double talk or handwaving. When I gave them the go ahead, they started on the day we agreed upon, and when I got home from work the job was completed, all debris removed and the grounds completely cleaned. The painting subcontractor was prompt, masked and draped extensively, and completed his work also in one day. End result: new roof, ceilings repaired, job left clean. On time, on budget. No hassle. Use this company; you will not be sorry. By the way, I am a construction contractor; a good roofer is hard to find. These guys are pros.

We discovered a leak in the ceiling in a bedroom closet. I had used this company in the past and had a good experience with a roof leak repair. (I had found them on Angie's List). On that occasion two men had replaced a couple of areas of shingles that were the source of the leak. They spent about an hour and did the work for the company's minimum charge. As consequence, this time I knew going in that this company charged $250 to show up. If the repair can be made for that price, they fix it or give you an estimate for what the total job will take. When the two men came to find and repair my leak, they said it was a flashing problem and replaced some flashing in the area that was the cause of the leak. This procedure took about 10 minutes. They also said I had four or five other areas that needed to be treated in the same way. I asked if that would be part of the minimum $250 and was told that it would be an additional $250. Realizing that it would probably cost me as much to have someone else come out to do the repairs, I consented. The balance of the work took less than 1/2 hour to complete. So, although I knew and authorized the amount of the repair, I felt like I had overpaid for less than an hour of work and less than $50 in materials. Certainly, this experience did not compare favorably to the first time I used this company.

I called around 11 a.m. to ask for an estimate and two gentlemen were at my house before 3 p.m. that afternoon. I showed them the area that was leaking and they took care of it. Since the charge was a $250 minimum they checked the rest of the roof for damage and caulked the tops of several vent pipes. Prompt, professional, and courteous.

Lee Williamson is recommended by a top Ebby Halliday realtor in Preston Hollow. We used Lee to replace the roof of a home that we recently purchased. His crew finished the entire job in 2 days. The work is neat and it is now June and we haven't had any leaks. This company is extremely reliable and responsive. We had new windows put in upstairs in our dormers that weren't put in correctly. Lee came back to us last week with a carpenter and fixed the windows so they wouldn't leak. This job was done perfectly in one day. This is the company to use if you need a roof. They are top notch.

We had a quick response from our first contact. They came out to look over our roof and we received an estimate shortly afterward. The price seemed high, but we decided to go ahead and use this contractor. The work was performed and they explained what had been done when the job was complete. They showed us the old flashing that had been trimmed and as a result, probably allowed water to get under the roof. We have not had a heavy rain since the work was done and cannot be sure that the problem is solved.

I called for a quote on Friday, Jan. 22. The salesman gave me a quote on Monday, Jan 25th. The roof was completed Jan 26. The salesman, Jay Williamson was great to work with...he coordinated everything and was prompt in returning phone calls.

From estimate to beginning work it took only a week or so. Jose was scheduled to come on Monday, but came at 9:00 am on the Sunday before while we were away at Church. He came early since the weather was good that day and he wanted to make use of it. He and his helper worked continually, except for a lunch break and completed the work by 5:30 pm. The work looks very good and very professional. He took great care to match the paint. I am generally very pleased with how the whole experience went.

Two service people came on time and found the problem immediately after I explained to them about the situation. Them claimed that they only use the best commercial quality of sealant to seal the leak. I believe it is true. They are responsive and professional.

"The only possible explanation I can offer is that we have been overwhelmed by rain this fall. We have received 9+ inches above our average for the last 2 months! This doesn't excuse the poor communication in this case, but it's impossible to keep our schedule when it rains as much as it has over the last two months. We have every intention of being where we're supposed when we're supposed to be there, but if it starts to rain on us in the middle of a repair, we have to stop & start over the next day. Again, this doesn't excuse the poor communication, and I apologize for that, but we've been operating under conditions we've never seen before."

They were okay. After they finished the work, we had some more leaks. So, they came back and did the work. However, we are still having problems with the roof. Hence, we didn?t have a great experience with Texas Star Roofing. We feel that in spite of spending $3000 for the work, we still have some leaking problems. So, we are disappointed. Texas Star Roofing gives six months warranty on the work done by them. When we had the problem, the warranty had expired. We feel that they are overpriced too; we don?t have frame of reference to compare their prices. We only got the roof patched in places and we feel their prices were not worth the work. They responded to our needs but they failed to fix the leaks in the roof. We don?t think we?d use them again.

"I'm sorry your experience wasn't up to your expectations. I appreciate your A grades for punctuality and professionalism. First off, our warranty on repairs is one year, 6 months on flat roofs. As you noted, we responded to your needs, and we came back when you experienced problems after the initial repair. This is evidence that we stand behind our work. This is a flat roof. When flat roofs begin to develope leaks, it's almost always a continuing problem. I don't feel it's fair to hold us responsible for leaks a year and a half after we completed our work. We made you aware of our warranty before you gave us the job, and we came back to address leaks during the warranty period. I don't understand what more you could have expected from us."
