In addition, Snap Fix only provided us with your email as the point of contact. No phone number was provided. We emailed you direct, same day that we received your request from Angie's List/Snapfix. We reached out in attempt to schedule an appointment with you to discuss your landscape needs further. The first invoice that we received was for an inflated amount of time and we were charged for an hour and 45 minutes of time that they spent dealing with equipment malfunctions/replacement. We objected and the invoice was adjusted, but no apology was offered for the overcharge.
We attempted to schedule a time with Matt Brady to have Terra Turf complete the work, but he refused to agree to a specific time and insisted that we should just keep our gate unlocked so that his crew could show up at their convenience. He was, as is his habit when confronted with his company's failures, very rude. When we suggested that we would pay upon completion of the work that was agreed upon, he threatened to place a mechanic's lien on our property (not realizing that he had no ability to do so because of his ignorance of the proper procedures required under Texas law for homestead property).
This is not our first problem with Terra Turf and specifically with Matt Brady. Last year, his crew was several hours late and, as a result, was unable to finish the job without our assistance. We spent 4 hours of our own time working with them to get the work done before it got dark. Brady was argumentative when we contacted him, but later apologized and reduced the charges when we threatened to post a negative review. Last summer, despite the fact that we sent him an email with photographs showing exactly what needed to be done, his crew performed significant additional work that we did not authorize. We opted to pay for the work as a gesture of good faith because it would have been needed within a few months. Obviously, this made no difference.
It's unfortunate that Mr. Brady cannot control his immature behavior and seems to become personally offended whenever there is an issue that needs to be resolved. His crews do good quality work, but dealing with such an unprofessional owner is not worth the irritation. We strongly recommend avoiding this company.
Mr. Brady unsuccessfully attempts to twist reality in the below response. We only used Terra Turf again because he apologized profusely for his previous behavior and provided a significant discount to compensate us for the admittedly unprofessional work. We wanted to provide him and his company with another chance to do things right. Unfortunately, they failed. As expected, he is unwilling to take responsibility and, instead, attempts to obfuscate. We do not believe that a 30 minute window of time is an unrealistic request when the company is at fault for not completing the work that was agreed upon. We could have accommodated a 2-3 hour window on the date that we were originally told the remaining work would be completed, but Terra Turf never called to arrange it after promising to do so. Mr. Brady is dishonest and has every motivation to be exactly that when responding to a negative review.

Initially because these descriptive words are of course invalid, but secondly because you called us to do additional work for your property. This is the second time you have requested we provide service. If Matt Brady is all of the things you mentioned and Terra Turf operates in such an untimely and unprofessional manner, why are you requesting additional jobs to be done on your property? Terra Turf is a customer service oriented company and has received the Angie's List Customer Service Award for the last two years and has a A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. This award was not received by operating in an unprofessional manner or inflating charges. Quite the contrary. We are an honest company and have no motivation to operate otherwise. When Ms. Everett initially contacted Terra Turf to complete the most recent job, we relayed that we cannot confirm exact times, however, we offered her a 2-3 hour window. This is due to the "unknowns" that can occur with any service company. At that time, she demanded a 30 minute window of arrival. We relayed that was impossible and requested she leave the gates open so that we could trim the remaining bushes in order to complete your requested service. This was also our attempt to work with you as much as possible so that you would not have to wait. The conversation had escalated to a point that a realistic agreement could not be reached. Terra Turf relayed that it was in everyone's best interest for you to simply pay for the services rendered and providing you the option to utilize a different provider who could accommodate your request to arrive at an exact time. At that point, Ms. Everett relayed she would not be paying for any service that had already been provided, until we came back out. Again, this was a request we realistically could not accommodate, however refusing payment was your resolution. Sincerely, TTLM, Inc."

Honestly, I feel your review was done in haste since we have been providing your service for over a year (Both mowing and landscape cleanup services) and you have never once called about the quality of our service. I understand if you do not want to provide your credit card number for billing, but I'm not clear why you gave a negative review. This is simply our policy that we needed to get a few clients switched over to. We gave you the choice to provide billing info or select another provider. Again, I appreciate your past business!
