We have a (very heavy) wood overlay on our metal garage door and it turns out the springs that the builder used were commercial grade. Perfectly fine for our home but when one (or two) broke, there was no way that door was coming back up. Juan came out that very day(!) and determined that three greens and one gold spring would work (since POGD doesn't carry the large commercial grade springs). It took a couple of hours and cost a bit more for 4 springs instead of two but the door has never worked as smoothly as it does now. We are very pleased with the service and the results!

JT came to replace the spring on our garage door that had broken making the door inoperable. He explained what he was going to do and set to work. After he finished he had me come to the garage so that he could explain some things. He showed me where he had installed new bolts in the tracks and repaired some that weren't correct. He also pointed out that the opener itself was wearing badly and that the central shaft was slightly bent. The door is now quiet and performs smoothly. My daughter has also used Plano Overhead Garage Doors.

Better and faster than expected! Jake replaced the builder-grade opener with one that wasn't broken. Before the opener broke, it was louder than the rollers and the creaking of the door. Then it broke and the gears sounded like demons screaming. After replacing the opener, the only real sound is the rollers in the wheel track and the door. Going to be calling them back out to replace the wheels and my other opener for an almost silent garage!

I was having a lot of problems with my garage door. The garage door opener was laboring to lift the door and the door would bind and stop sometimes when the door was lifted so I contacted Plano Overhead Door. Paul Reyna was sent to see what the problem was. He studied the situation and identified that there were several installation issues that weren’t permitting the door to lift easily. He came up with a plan to make several adjustments to fix the issues. He worked quickly and made the necessary adjustments. The result is that the door glides more easily taking pressure off of the opener. I’m very happy with the professionalism that Paul displayed. He did a great job!

Their front office staff is prompt and efficient and answers the phone! And there is an emergency number for after-hours calls. They quickly respond when that button doesn’t open or close your garage door. Today, they found a crack, and tomorrow, first thing in the morning, it will be replaced. From annual service to ensure everything runs smoothly to doors and openers, they have kept my garage door out of mind. You can focus on loved ones daily, but not your garage door. I’m a real customer in Plano and live on Cross Bend Road, and I highly recommend them.

He explained everything very clearly, went over the entire door and motor and ensured everything was as safe as possible and functioning as it should and explained regular maintenance that we can do to maintain the door as well. Fabulous! The two technicians came on time and finished a little early. They were helpful, friendly, courteous, and quick to give us a briefing on the remote controls and the opener (we got the door with extra insulation and side panels and an opener with a super bright light and a camera). My neighbor came over to see what was happening, and she asked them to come over to her house so she could get their info. She was very impressed with the job they did. We will never call anyone to service our garage door and/or opener. We really trust this company!

I called the morning after it happened, very helpful call staff and scheduled work to be done that morning, 1st available. Technician came opened door so I could move car, and replaced all springs and reattached cable, lubed it and within 45 minutes all was fixed for a reasonable fee. would call Plano overhead garage door again when needed. Great professional service and customer service. Very satisfied.

This company came highly recommended and, I know why! I called their number found on their web site and booked the appointment when it would work with my schedule. Shortly after I booked the appointment, I received a text with a picture of the technician, a bit about him, and how to contact the company if anything else was needed. Every company should supply a picture of the technician through a text. I felt very secure with this. The technician texted me when he was on his way and the approximate time off his arrival. Once he arrived, he got right to work and quickly diagnosed the initial problem and got that fixed. He then took a look at the door itself. He suggested some things he could do so it would continue to function as it should for a few more years. (I'm not sure how old this door is, but I've lived in the house for 13 years and the people before me, had the door put in around 10 years before that. ) I agreed to the work and it was done quickly and for an amazing price; preventative maintenance that comes to $13.77 per year can't be beat! I will look at this company when it comes time to buy a new garage door and new opener!

Absolutely recommend. I knew I had made a good choice just from the great customer service I received when I called to book my Free Estimate. I received a text notification when my technician was on his way ... text included their name, photo and location info, so I knew exactly who to expect and when. Jacob was super friendly and did a really good job making sure our concerns were addressed. His estimate was clear and fair. We were accommodated with same day service/installation! So in a couple of hrs Paul stop by to fix our door and replace our opener. Now, let me tell you about Paul! What an amazing service!! He was fast but really thorough and after I installation he actually took the time to make sure we familiarized ourselves with the new equipment and highlighted all the awesome features we now had. He was super patient answering all our questions and he even took the time to help us program our car to the new opener.... Shout out to Paul for an amazing job. Dude even sweep the garage floor! Excellent response and work! I discovered that the springs on our garage door had broken and the door would not open. I called Plano Overhead Garage Door at 4:45pm and was told that a technician could be there quickly. At 5:30pm Juan arrived and professionally examined the door and recommended a number of options for repair or replacement (it's an old door). Juan had the springs replaced and working quieter in about an hour. Thanks Juan!

Our old door was well over 20+ years and had been limping along. I found Plano Overhead Garage Door referred on a Facebook group I belong to and gave them a call. The very nice receptionist said she could have someone out to my house in 30 minutes!! Brandon was super helpful, gave us all the information within 20 minutes and said he'd be back the next day to install! It was the easiest process ever! They could have repaired the current door for about $250, but estimated it would only last a year (but it was still an option given - I appreciate that!). I highly recommend! They send you a picture and a small bio of the person coming out. Very respectful! Highly knowledgeable!
