They do a good job, I wouldn't say it's outstanding but it's good. The cleaning people are consciences, if they ever break anything they will pay for it. They are a quality company.

It went good. I like it. There was a couple of people that in several times, I had them come back and redo it but that was pretty good. I think it was really pricey.

I expected 4 hours of cleaning by a crew of two - three people...
wrong,  they sent two people and only stayed to hours.  $40 per hour per
person for housekeeping....stupid.  $20 per hour more inline with a
fair margin because I am sure they pay min wage.  Never again.
Response from Maid Brigade of Plano

"[Member's name removed], To rectify the cleaning, we've been in contact with the new homeowner. As a long-standing business in Plano, we take negative experiences very seriously. The purchase you made through Angie's List's Storefront was $160 for 4 maid hours. We come out in teams of two or three maids, therefore the in-home cleaning time would be 1.5-2 hours. For your 4000 square foot house, we estimate needing 9 maid hours for a thorough move out service. Our prices remain competitive for the Dallas area market. We offer a complete professional experience: employee background checks, paid local and federal taxes, full customer service, cars and uniforms, email reminders, etc. Our employees make $9-15/hour, with the average hourly pay being $11.25/hr. In addition to wages, our employees enjoy bonuses, paid time off, reimbursements for continuing education, English classes, and gym memberships, among other benefits. We appreciate your business. this was a soup-to-nuts cleaning of my property after it had been vacant for some time. I wanted to ready it for a party that was coming.
i thought the work was excellent. they sent two ladies over and knocked it out in a few hours. i did not ask them to do windows. the kitchen and baths were spotless. I did not ask them to mop the wooden floors, but ovbiously they did vacuum the rugs. but most of my house has wood floors and I wanted to leave that chore to me.
that way my entire day was not tired up, and I could answer their questions. eg. it was an extra fee to do the fridge, and being there I could ok it.
i definitely would use their service again.

Mary and Maria did a wonderful job! It took them longer than they expected, but they kept working until the job was done to their satisfaction. They are truly "dust busters"! The house was covered from ceiling to floor with dust from all of the renovations, and they removed every trace of it. I was very happy with the quality of their work, and highly recommend them.

They did a good job!  We have them come in twice a month.  What I like about them is they do their work, and they use nontoxic cleaners.

The two ladies that came out were very professional and friendly. One of them even had doggy bisquits for my dog. That is not the issue. I explained to the main housecleaner that I am in the process of selling my home and needed a detailed cleaning as a professional photographer was coming to take photos to upload to a realtor site for selling homes. My home was pretty much clean and had very minimal furniture. I wanted them to clean the mini blinds, base boards, items that would be noticed when showing a home. My account was charged right away before they arrived $248 for a two hour and 56 minute minimum. The ladies only finished one third of my home by the two hour and 56 minute minimum. They could have stayed longer but would have charged an additional fee per hour that they stayed over. I made the mistake of not thoroughly checking their work before they left as I was busy organizing my garage while they were working in the house. After they left, my husband went through and asked me what they did because when he went through the rooms that they "cleaned" he had dust on his fingers. He took pictures and showed them to me. I contacted Maid Brigade and let them know that I was very dissatisfied. The person that I spoke with told me that I would get a "do over" and proceeded to schedule a cleaning for another day. After thinking about it, I contacted Maid Brigade and told them that a "do over" would not cut it because as I had explained before, the cleaning was needed for a photo shoot that was going to occur the next morning. I had to go behind and reclean before the photographer showed up the next day. Maid Brigade offered to take $50 off of my total charge but I felt that it wasn't enough. I provided them with pictures (proof) and asked to have a supervisor contact me. The supervisor never contacted me to discuss further. I will never use them again and will let all of my friends/acquaintance know not to do business with them!

I have used them regularly for about a year.  I think we pay monthly.  They did a good job, and they did everything that they said they would do.  They would do anything with an extra service charge.  They were fair priced.  I think they were responsive.  They kept changing the people that did the work.  They started with the same people and they were really good and they switched and it all went downhill.   You have to give them instructions on cleaning the house, on materials and things like that, and with new people I need to do it all over again.

They are very punctual and reliable, never having missed a scheduled date. The initial cleaning was spectacular. Recurring cleanings are very good. Very occasionally I'll find a small thing they missed (like dusting the top of a tall dresser). They do clean with "green" products, so the house doesn't "smell" clean. But it looks good when they finish. They always leave a comment card and will call and fix the problem if I raise any issues. My only significant complaint is that they're quite pricey.

They have been a pleasure to deal with from start to finish for many years. Robin and the team in the office are always friendly and responsive and take care of any issues that may arise. Usually the same team comes out and does a great job on the basic cleaning, plus you can add services as you need them like refrigerator cleaning. In the rare event that something was not done to your liking (which I can say in 8-9 years of service is really rare,) they make it right. Plus, they even came out and unlocked the house once when my mother locked herself out when I was out of town. Good people and good service.

It was a long time since we first found them. It’s a good company. We spend about $110 bi-weekly for the work. They primarily focus on using as many eco-friendly products as possible. Although I was not as satisfied as I could be with a couple of the people that came out to do the work, they always did a good job of remedying the situation. I would continue to use them in the future.

Good job 1st 2 times out, then once more a couple of months into it. The rest of the time entire portions of the service were not done. Whole sections of room not vacuumed (therefore obviously not mopped), rarely did they dust, most times whole sections of countertops not wiped much less cleaned and cleaning only "down the middle" of the rooms. Unless I left a note specifically asking them to make sure they did it, they did not vacuum/mop the edges of rooms/hallways. There were always dust bunnies in the corners & where floors meet baseboards. Unless I asked, they did not clean the floor around/behind the toilet, nor did they dust. One time they did it all - vac/mop even close to walls, cleaned all counters, cleaned behind toilet, dusted. Then, never again. Since they did it that one time, I know I was not expecting more than what they were capable of doing in the allotted time frame. They never responded to my requests for someone to come out & investigate my concerns, though this is something they tout they will do, "respond w/in 24 hours & send someone out to do the job right". Once they didn't show up, but I did get a call from the team saying they were at my house, but the key didn't work in the storm door lock. I don't have a storm door. I gave very clear instructions that I wanted to s/w customer service before rescheduling, but instead of calling me back to discuss, they'd just leave me a vm or send an email that they were sending someone back out to clean. I had to call/email several times over several days to make sure they understood they did not have permission to enter my home until I s/w customer service. That never happened, so I canceled my service. That just about took an act of congress, too. This company is extremely responsive when you are looking to hire them on, however, they vanish when there is a customer service issue.

I started using Maid Brigade because my niece and her husband were "retiring" from their housecleaning business. They always did such a great job and my house was sparkling clean and smelled nice after they were done. My niece did research on BBB and saw that Maid Brigade didn't have any issues, so she recommended I call them. I wanted to make sure I used an insured/bonded service. The initial clean they did was great, even though the house didn't really smell clean, but they attributed that to using "green" products with no smells. But when they started the regular bi-weekly cleanings, the quality went down drastically and after observing, their "green" products were just soap and water. One of the biggest issues, is they kept sending different teams and I would have to go through instructions for wood floors, etc. with each new team. If I was home during the cleaning I would have to do my own walk-through inspection and literally had to point out things they missed that they were typically very obvious things like didn't dust the coffee table in my den, didn't run vacuum in my bedroom, only cleaned one of the sinks in the bathroom. Things they should have noticed themselves. If I wasn't home, I would come home and literally have to reclean my house because they would miss an entire room or use the floor attachment for the vacuum on the carpet. They did such a poor unacceptable job on every visit. The customer service rep was very responsive and always tried to make amends with percentage off the cleaning, or a free additional service next time (refrigerator cleaning, oven cleaning, etc.), and one time they offered a free cleaning, but all I wanted was to come home to a clean house like I was used to with my niece. I was paying them for a job they weren't doing. Maid Brigade charged about $50 more per cleaning as well, so my expectations were that they at least did as good a job as my niece. The whole reason I wanted someone to clean my house is because I travel so much with my job that I didn't want my precious weekends to be spent cleaning the house. Also, their teams didn't speak very good English, if at all, so trying to communicate to them was always a challenge. It was an overall very unpleasant experience with them.

I started using Maid Brigade 2 years ago because I couldn't get a recommendation for a cleaner in my area of town, and I wanted a licensed and bonded company in lieu of personal recommendations. They've done such a mediocre to poor job, I felt the need to write this review since joining Angie's List recently. When I first signed up for service, they were very responsive and professional. They gave me a printed packet of information about their services, did an in-home tour to find out exactly how I wanted my house cleaned, and made me feel like this was a reliable service. Service quickly fell to mediocre, and to even poor by the time I broke up with them. When they first started cleaning my house, everything in it was a year old. We had a complete, tear-down-to-studs renovation and installed travertine tile in the bathroom, all new cabinetry, etc. By the time I broke up with them, we had terrible mold and mildew build-up in the bathroom, and regular collections of hairballs and dust around the baseboards and kick-plates of cabinets. For a while, I thought the mold build-up was due to infrequent cleaning, and that we should have the house cleaned weekly. I've since realized that a proper cleaning, even just once every two weeks, should have kept the mold and mildew at bay. I called several times to have the bathroom re-cleaned. It didn't seem to make any difference. Robin, the customer service person who answers the phone calls, was always very courteous, but she finally said that they only use "green" cleaning supplies, and if I wanted the mold killed by something strong like bleach, I'd have to do that myself. I explained that if the bathrooms had been properly cleaned in the first place, I wouldn't have a mold problem. She didn't have an answer for that, except to say that I could call to have any part of the house re-cleaned within 24 hours of a cleaning whenever I'm not satisfied. The re-cleaning never seemed to have any effect, so I stopped bothering to call after a while, and started looking for a better cleaner. When I finally broke up with them, they didn't even bother to ask why and just mailed me my key.

I've had them come out more than once. Though the workers were nice, I feel the service is too expensive for what you get.
