After the computer testing , they said they could not find what was wrong because the readings did not stabilize! They said they will try replacing the spark plugs to see if that will help! They did not know the problem & were going to do trial & error and figure out. Also, my car was 105K miles & they give me big list of what all I have to do (timing belt, etc.) & gave me a quote of $4000!
I said I will think about it & got out there fast! I have never been to a car place where they did not know what was wrong & suggesting tons of work and took $120 for doing nothing! I have never seen such frauds in my life --have been going to different car places all my life & this was the biggest con artists. Avoid this place for service at all costs! Came form Chicago neighborhood where dealer service places were much better even though they were expensive! Also, they did not replace the brake lamp & I called them & asked them if they changed the brake lamp & they said it did not come on when they worked on it & they did not replace it. The brake lamp light came on as I was driving back home from their service place!!
The maintenance symbol also has come on already (less than 500 miles from the date I got the oil change done!)
They were nice enough to reduce my repair costs by 25% because of my loyalty to their brand and their service department. I will continue to use the Plano Acura dealership and service department for future needs.
We had our grandson with us & they helped us get his stroller out of the trunk, held the door open to the customer lounge, & directed us to a special room for children where they could play with toys or watch children's cartoons or movies. The lounge had TV, coffee, water, soft-drinks, fruits, etc. Very nice.
After they had serviced our car, they brought it back in front of the lounge, helped us put the stroller back in the car & directed us to where payments are made.

This visit, I stayed in a waiting room since the service wouldn't take long. Because it was the middle of my work day, Carl took me to a more private waiting room where I could plug in my laptop, have some water, coffee, etc....while waiting for my car repair. All in all, a quiet, peaceful, efficient experience. My car was ready sooner than promised. Carl took care of my paperwork at his work station. I paid there, signed the paperwork and I was done. Charges were exactly as promised; no unexpected problems or surprises.
My car was brought around front. The dealership ran it through their car wash so it was clean...a nice extra touch.
Carl is the reason why I continue to have my Acura MDX serviced with McDavid. He's the best! He is incredibly personable. Takes all the time needed to understand any issues with my car. Makes recommendations based on my best interests and my safety. He knows I drive my Acuras until they're truly "done" and he treats me each time as if my car was just purchased there. I know Acura's prices can be higher than if I had the car serviced elsewhere, but I return to Acura most times because I know the work will be done right. THe dealership backs up their work, 100-percent. Carl Dehls is a fantastic service rep, which makes the experience even more pleasant and efficient.
