After the city came to my home to confirm that there was a water leak on the residence side of the plumbing installation. Classic was very prompt and they were able to come to do the repair by the next morning. They were very professional and courteous. The technician found and additional lead that tied into the irrigation system. The technician did not have the part to repair the additional leak. I had to call another contractor that specialized in irrigation systems to fix the leak. It was as simple as having an additional part and being able to repair the additional leak. It was such a small leak and a common piece of equipment. I am very unhappy that Classic charges the highest rates in their industry $110/hour, but they would show up unprepared to do the job.
Description of Work: The company repaired a leak in the water pipes near the city meter. The technician was very capable and he informed me that there was an additional leak on a nearby pipe that tied to the irrigation system. Unfortunately, he did not have the part to do the additional repair. We had to close the hole, while I looked for someone else to finish the work.

Plumber was here within 45 min. He was polite, proffesional, knowledgable, and neat. He carefully removed the grass, then dug down to the pipes. We found a broken pvc tee. Rather than just replacing it, He rebuilt the entire section in copper. Had the origional plumber done that, I would not have needed Classic Plumbing. He then verrified there were no more leakes. and checked that We had proper water service, both in the house, and irrigation system. He then replaced the soil, and grass, cleaned the area, and watered the grass. I am a retired licenced contrator from California, and I will highly recomend this company to My friends. Sincerely, Herman deWaard

We've used Classic Plumbing on several other occasions at our home and have been very pleased each time. This time, we called Classic on Saturday and set up an appointment for between 2:00 - 4:00pm to fix a leaky exterior faucet at our rental condo. Prior to calling Classic, we actually called two other companies that said they charged by the job, rather than the hour, just to see if we could get a lower price on a per-job quote. Both companies quoted us a price for the job and boy are we glad we went with Classic and their per-hour charge! Classic was over $150 less. By the way, both of the other companies were highly ranked on Angie's List. That's why we called them. I can't remember his name, but one of the plumbers from Classic, called us at 1:45 and said he would be there in 10 minutes. He arrive at 1:55. Talk about punctual! He had to remove some of the outside brick and some of the insulation inside the wall, unsolder/remove the old piece of pipe going into the house, re-solder/replace with a new piece of pipe, install new frost free faucet/bib, replace and re-mortar the brick. All of this he did in about 1 hour! We really thought the work would take much longer, but he was very, very efficient. So, if you want a plumbing company that is honest, punctual, efficent, professional and very reasonably priced, you really should call Classic Plumbing. We highly recommend them!!

Classic plumbing was great. We had an issue with a leaking water heater. It did need to be replaced, but they were able to check and see that the tank was still under the manufacturers warranty. The scheduled a time to replace it and were responsive, professional, and on-time. They also replaced the expansion tank (not related to the warranty), so my cost was the labor for replacement (and the cost of the expansion tank). They took care of the defective (warrantied) tank and I didn't have to worry about it.

Contacted Classic Plumbing on 11-21 via phone as I had a kitchen drain stopped up and needed quick response as we were in the middle of doing Thanksgiving dinner for our family. Stores were closed and had no choice because all the stores were closed. I was honestly told when I called Classic that being Thanksgiving Eve, 10:30PM that the rate would be $175 per hour so I had to gut it out due to the late hour and importants of the impending Thanksgiving feast we were preparing for. Tech showed up at 11:30 which was reasonably quick under the circumstances and began working. Was very slow in the work process and at $175 per hour I was doing all I could to assist as a tool runner, parts runner, etc. It took forever it seemed for him to unstop the drain. After 3 unsuccessful attempts with 2 different pieces of drain devils from inside and outside, He decided to just cut the fittings of the bottom trap under the sink and BINGO, the clog was right there. Even though he had a fully stuffed plumbing truck he didn't have the necessary pvc couplings he needed to rebuild the bottom trap angle so he used a rubber, flexible boot I had in my tool box to close the plumbing to get us by. He said that he would have to come back If I wanted to with the proper fitting but that it would be another trip charge and regular rate charge... Well, needless to say, I still have the rubber boot on the plumbing because I wasn't about to invest another $150 for them to come back out. Finally, at the end of it all the tech said that he would start cleaning things up and I told him respectfully at $175 per hour, I would clean it up myself. Don't get me wrong, the tech was very respectful but slow and unprepared for even a simple job. Ultimately, it took him 1 hour and 35 minutes to unstop coleslaw from my kitchen plumbing from the disposal. And I did the cleanup.... Pretty expensive Turkey dinner!!!! PS: I give a D for professionalism only because he did not have the parts to complete the job properly and the length of time it took to unstop the drain. Nothing to do with his personal attitude...

From start to finish a most pleasant experience. The receptionist was knowledgeable, kind caring and very efficient. Just a wonderful young lady. She gave me a window of time and then called me back to let me know the plumber was 20 minutes from my home . He arrived in 15 minutes and got right to work. Check the lines, shut of water and fixed everything very quickly, excellent service and knowledgeable plumber with very pleasant personality. Service with a smile. I will be recommending them to everyone I know. Great job.

I called Classic Plumbing on a Saturday morning to check their availability on unclogging the main drain in my house. We were not able to use any of our bathrooms. They game me an estimated time of 2:00 that day. Bill from Classic showed up at 2:30. I received a call from Classic at 2:00 telling me he we on his way. When Bill arrived and we talked about the situation, Bill was able to figure out the drain configuration (the house was build with septic tanks and converted to city sewer) and unclogged the drain. He was very professional and pleasant to work with. Overall, Classic and Bill did an excellent job. We not have all of our bathrooms back up and running.

The window I was given for arrival was 8:00am to 10:00am this morning. They did not show up and i did not receive a phone call. I called and was told that the first job they went on was taking longer than expected and that they would get a status and call me back in a few minutes. 35 minutes later, I called them, and was told that they would arrive as soon as they finished the other job, but no time estimate could be given. But, they could give me a call when they were on their way. When I asked why I was given a window of 8:00am to 10:00am, I was told that it wasn't written on the work order so they elected to take an emergency call before mine.. Knowing that there are always issues that may come up, but since I haven't received any phone calls from anyone at Classic Plumbing this morning and, at this point, can only assume that they may or may not call, I have elected to call another plumber.

Facet pipe had split due to freezing and pipe need to be replaced. Work was done quickly and to my satisfaction. Company showed up when they said they would and performed the work I ask for. I did not request a quote and thought the price was a little high. That is my fault for not asking for a quote. Would use them again in the right situation as they were very professional and did what they said they would do.

They always seem to send someone who knows what they are doing. That's why we stay with them. One time we went with someone different and they were lousy, they couldn't even put the faucets together. We always go with Classic Plumbing. They are very helpful. They stand by what they do. He explained to me the expected life of a water heater in Plano because of our water. He explained everything very good.
Description of Work: I have used Classic Plumbing numerous times. I last used him in December. My water heater broke and he replaced it. Also, in January, he came and adjusted my gas on my furnace.

The ratings I provided are based on the whole experience and not the final work/cost. It took three trips by Classic Plumbing to get our slab leak in half-bath fixed. On the first trip, which was on a Saturday, the first plumber identified that I had a slab-leak as well as looking for another way to route around the leak. (The alternative was to go through the attic, which is not possible for our half-bath.) However, he did not have the tools to fix the leak and stated that we would have to wait until Monday. He confirmed with his boss that they could have a crew out on Monday to fix the leak, so we dealt with not having hot water for the weekend. The first plumber wrote specifically on the receipt that the next plumber would need to bring a chipper or jack hammer and charged us $185.83. On Monday morning, no one showed up, so we contacted the company to find out when they would be at the house. We were told that another plumber would be at the house around noon, but that we would get a call 20 minutes prior. At 12:30, I again contacted the company to find out a status. I was told that, the second plumber had just called in and he was on his way. He showed up at 12:50. The second plumber then spent the next hour using specialized equipment to locate the exact location of the leak, which ended up being in our master closet that backs up to the half-bath. The second plumber also looked for another way to reroute through the attic. However, after locating the location, he states that he will be back tomorrow. I ask why he was not going to fix the leak as promised and was told that they do not perform jack hammering in the afternoon, and he was only there to identify the location. (None of this was told to me prior to the Monday appointment or when the second plumber showed up on Monday) I then contacted the company, where I was told that they always do a confirmation so that they do not dig in the wrong location. I asked why I was not informed prior to second appointment, and was told that they made a mistake. Thus, we had to wait until 8:30 am Tuesday. On Tuesday, rather than showing up at 8:30, I receive a call from the owner stating, that the cost of the job will be $3400.00 and that it will take three days, due to braking up concrete, pulling a permit, fixing the leak, and patching the hole. After asking what it would cost to route around the leak, since my wife and I were 95% sure we found the other end of the pipe and a faster path, we were met with disbelief and were told that they would have to confirm our finding. Nonetheless, the owner called back shortly with a new quote of $1600.00. I agreed and was told that the second plumber would be at our house after he loads up the needed equipment. During this time, I cut the back out of my wife’s vanity and could actually see the pipe. I called the owner back to express my find and asked if the price could further be reduced, since I located the pipe and I could open the wall up for the reroute. I only had to cut out a 6 inch wide 8 feet long section of sheetrock. The owner stated that, if I was correct on the location and I were to perform some of the work, he would work with me after the job was complete. When the second plumber showed up, he confirmed that we had found the other end of the pipe and agreed that the reroute would work. Just 3 hours later, the slab-leak had been routed around and we had hot water again. After packing up his tools and spending more than 20 minutes in his truck on the phone and writing up the receipt, my final cost was $555.08, without ever hearing from the owner. While the work done by the second plumber was of high quality, the path to getting my leak fixed was made more difficult by the company’s lack of communication and cooperation. Thus, I will not use them again.

After the tile contractor (also on AL) got everything to the studs Classic came in and installed the new fixtures, raised the drain pipe which had settled and repaired/replaced a crack in the vent stack. It took 3 hours, the plumber worked hard, got the work and repairs made and all was fine. Thisis my 3rd experience with Classic in the last year. I'm pleased, they will handle all my plumbing needs and I highly recommend them.

Overall, the services performed resolved our issue and the plumber was professional.
Description of Work: Our main line was clogged due to renovation crew throwing guest napkins into our commode. Called Classic Plumbing and they were able to perform the service same day and unclog our main drain. The price they quoted was 160.00 over the phone and the actual cost was 158.00 and change. The only con was they stated they would be at the house mid morning and did not arrive until after noon and did not call to inform us of late arrival. I would most certainly call this company again as they were professional in attitude and customer service oriented.

Classic Plumbing was recommended to me by my neighbor, who had used them on a large repair job recently. The Service man came out and looked at the problem, then told us he did not have his jack hammer with him. He used a chisel to knock out some of the concrete around the pipe then sort of shoved the solder in the hole and made the repair. We then noticed that the drain to the street was clogged. Again he said he did not have the proper tool but called and they came out about 1/2 later with the auger, and cleared the drain. After he left I noticed that water was leaking around the solder connection and called. It was late friday and they said they would be out Monday. On Monday he came out with the correct tools jackhammered the concrete out, soldered on a new piece of pipe that extended to the drain and patching the concrete. When the job was completed he handed me a bill for another $100.00. I told him that I didn't think we owed more as they did not do it right the first time because they did not have the correct tools and we had to wait for the auger to be delivered even though our air conditioner guy told them what the needed. He just said that he did not 'charge me" for other stuff. I gave him the check for $100.00 and sent an email to the company explaining what happeded but received no response.
Description of Work: When our Air conditioning unit was replaced it was noticed the the overflow drain pipe was broken right where it came out from under the front porch slab. I called the company and my air conditioner guy told them the problem and mentioned that they would have to cut away the concrete and asked if they would patch the concrete when they were done. They said yes. the repair should have been to jack hammer away enough concrete so they could connect a pipe to the existing pipe and extend it to the drain in our flower bed, and patching the concrete.

Jeff arrived as scheduled, immediately diagnosed the problem, and effected the repairs. He was professional and courteous at all times and displayed an exceptional knowledge of his trade. Once the valves were replaced, Jeff noted that we had the wrong type of control handles installed and this was part of the "dripping" problem. He then checked but did not have the parts we needed on his truck (this plumbing is 25+ years old). He also provided a detailed description of what we actually needed as well as references on where we could acquire the parts. He stated that he could order the parts, but we could probably pick them up faster than if he ordered them. He then ensured that we knew how to remove the existing handles and install the new ones when we got them. We found the new handles that afternoon and had them installed by evening. Everything is working perfectly! All in all, we found the experience to be extremely satisfactory, from my first telephone contact through to Jeff's departure after the work was done. If Jeff is representative of the quality of folks working at Classic Plumbing, then we highly recommend their services to anyone needing assistance with their plumbing!
Description of Work: Faucets in both tub/showers had a persistent leak. Both required the removal and replacement of the cilinder valves. We had this same service performed approximately 14 months ago by a different plumbing company, but the problem returned.

The service tech arrived on time and immediately saw the problem. He offered a standard hot water heater or one with double the life expectancey (and warranty) for just a little more cost. I chose the longer life heater. He also noticed the elevated platform was becoming warped and could fail, so he replaced it with a piece of plywood at no additional charge. The installation was done properly in good time. After a minor adjustment, it also passed inspection by the city. While he was here, I asked him to clear a bathtub drain, which he did for a nominal additional charge. I've had them do work for us before and will use them exclusively in the future.
