Thoroughly disappointed in Air Repair Pro after the $8,400+ unit that they installed in 2018 quit heating. I am not here to trash this company, but anyone can understand my frustration after I forked over $375 to fix a problem that they should have addressed during installation. This baffled me because my experience with them had positive until a repair needed to made. - In 2015 I got a new roof installed - In 2018 Air Repair Pros installed my HVAC system - January 2019 heater on newly installed HVAC heater quit working Our heater went out a couple of times and then started back working. We reached out to them 3 times and on the third call the problem was realized. The problem was that wind was blowing down the flue pipe and blowing out the pilot. The fix was to extend the flue pipe higher. Here is where I have a problem. This should have been addressed by Air Repair Pro during the installation. They couldn’t make the repair because it has to be done by a roofing contractor - I’m fine with that. This still should have been addressed during the installation. I think this is where I was baffled most. The young man asked me “so when did you get your roof done?” as if I had a new roof installed since they installed my system. I replied “We had the roof done years ago.” I’m paraphrasing but the conversation went along these lines. They couldn’t help because they are not roofers and it wasn’t their fault that the flue pipe wasn’t long enough. REALLY - It was long enough when I cut that $8,400 check. He left and that was the end of it. Freezing outside, heater not working and I have an $8,400 useless unit. They suggested a roofing company, I contacted them for the repairs and they fixed the issue. I paid the $375 and the heat started back working. I believe that the repair was their responsibility and they should have paid the roofers to fix the problem. OR they should have addressed the issue during the installation. Someone could have easily said “Your flue pipe isn’t long enough, you need to get that fixed ASAP.” This review is not about the $375 - they can keep it. I feel that if you pay someone $8,400 to do a job for you and they overlooked something they should be responsible for what they overlooked. And you most definitely don’t insinuate that the homeowner went and installed a $17,000 new roof to get out of paying for your $375 oversight. I’m glad that they found out the problem - I really feel that good customer service would have been. “Relax sir, we’ll get it fixed!”
