I have an old-fashioned JVC TV and every once in a while the bulb has to be replaced. I called JVC and they referred me to Larry's TV Service. I found him a little expensive because they charged me over a hundred dollars just to come and see what the problem was. So I had to pay $240 for the first visit. Then they ordered the bulb and expected me to pay another $240! Since then, when I turn on my TV the screen is all messed up. It clears up eventually but it is annoying. I did find the service to be lacking too. They ordered the bulb and told me it would take 7 to 10 days to come in. I waited the 10 days and hadn't heard anything, so I rang them. They told me yes, the bulb was in - so I asked them when they were coming to fit it. I shouldn't have had to call them.

WE CALLED THIS COMPANY OUT TO FIX OUR T.V. AND TOLD THEM WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. THE REPAIRMAN SHOWED UP AND REALIZED HE DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS HE NEEDED AND WOULD HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THE SHOP. I DIDN'T KNOW HE HAD QUOTED MY HUSBAND 125.00 FOR THE SERVICE CALL. HE TOLD ME IT WOULD BE 225.00 AND I WROTE HIM THE CHECK. HE TOOK OUR T.V. HE NEVER TOLD ME THAT HE WAS CHARGING US EXTRA TO TAKE THE T.V. TO THE SHOP. IF HE HAD TOLD ME THAT, WE WOULD HAVE TAKEN THE T.V. OURSELVES. WE TOLD THEM WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND THEY DID NOTHING ABOUT IT. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYBODY.
