After calling to explain that my washing machine had died I was thrilled to hear that someone would be out early the very next morning to accommodate my crazy schedule. Chris was here as early as expected and did a fantastic job in a timely manner. He was very professional and courteous and I would highly recommend Advanced Appliance Repair.

Although prompt and courteous, we feel that we should have been told at the outset that a credit card would not be accepted for payment (Cash or Check only). We were not told of this requirement until work was completed. We feel that the price seemed high. No breakdown between labor and parts was indicated on receipt / invoice making pricing hard to evaluate. It seems that a company requiring cash or check should have the ability to make change for cash paid. This cost us a few extra dollars. This seems unprofessional. Not taking a credit card in this day and time seems unprofessional for a "Going-Concern" and tends to make company seem "suspect".
In the future we will inquire about means of payment prior to asking for service and ask about availability of a detailed invoice. It is doubtful that a company that doesn't take a credit card will be utilized.

"Member I'm sorry you fell this way about our service we do not advertise credit cards because we do not take them, believe or not most of our customers pay with check we did take CC at one time and as time went by we were not using the machines and was costing us money we did not need to spend it is not for us to say we do not take CC because we do not advertise for it, but it is up to you to ask you are the customer wanting service. As far as or invoice goes there are alot of companies going to book pricing and has been for years I have been in this service for 20 years and have worked and supervised for someone else for 11 yrs. and they have also used book pricing ( Book pricing is parts and labor combined and is put out by The National Price Guide Association). I do not fell I deserved the marking you have gave me for Angie's List I do great work on time and back my work up anytime there is a problem and fell the complaints you have are not of my cause but of yours for lack of communication on your part sorry if you thought it was left up to my company to answer questions that you did not know or was thinking. Chris came out on time and actually rearranged his schedule to accommodate me. He examined the machine and found that it was functioning perfectly so there was only the $55 service charge. He could have tried to sell me unnecessary parts but was very honest. I asked if there were any hoses that might need replacing and he told me my machine was one of the really good machines made by Maytag before they went out of business and nothing needed replacing. He even took the time to determine the water problem. He said the machine was over-flowing the drain and showed me the water marks on the wall. I told him I had watched the wash cycle and there was no over-flow. He explained that the over-flow may not happen until the rinse cycle, when the water from the wash, already in the drainpipe, caused the pipe to back up. Since I had already used a 6 foot drain snake, he recommended having a plumber take a look, as the plug probably required a longer, commercial drain snake. I really appreciate his honesty and integrity. It was worth $55 to meet a decent, honest person! I highly recommend him and will call him again in the future.

Tech was great. after discussing with him, the washing machine was not actually malfunctioning, I was using a cycle improperly. he could have sold me a part unnecessarily, but he didn't. Very honest.

TThe company representative arrived during the designated time window. The repairs were completed timely, and my questions were answered completely and in simple to understand terms. Now, after a couple of weeks, both appliances are performing as expected after the repairs. I was satsified and would certainly consider using this service provider again.

He was patient and explained how it worked and how to realistically check the temperature ( the little oven thermometers will not show a true temperature after two or three uses). His service call cost was less than Sears', he was able to come the day I called, and he did not try to convince me that my oven needed a new thermostat.

We discovered on late on Sunday night that our refrigerator was not working...food was defrosting etc. I started calling first thing Monday morning some of the recommended appliance places on Angie's List. Finally found one with a very nice review and serviced the northeast area of Houston. Chris said he could be out to my house between 11-1. I asked that he call me about 5 minutes out so I would be prepared to answer the door. He did exactly that and arrived before 1pm. Chris was friendly and very professional upon introducation and went straight to work looking at the problem. My husband was hoping it was perhaps a relay switch on the compressor of our refrigerator. At first we were almost certain it could be fixed and Chris has the part in his truck. But when the compressor would not cool down Chris went and got another device to double-check the situation. Upon checking the compressor itself we found it to be completely locked up. Two alternatives then remained....buy the part with labor and pay over $600 or buy a new refrigerator. My husband and I have opted to buy a new refrigerator. Chris also recommended that we buy a surge protector for our refrigerator. All the new refrigerators have computer panels now...not like old school refrigerators. A power surge is what broke our 2004 Whirlpool. Chris was very helpful in every way. While he was here I had him look at our washing machine too. He was also very helpful on that....we are now just deciding to replace a part or buy a new washer! I would use Advance Appliance Repair again in the future and happily recommend them. I paid a $55 service call fee for his time. Again, very happy with the quality of service.
