My washing machine was leaking water from underneath, I looked up Advanced Appliance on Angie's list, called them, the repairman called and made the appointment for next morning, he said the would be at my home between 8:00 and 10:00 am, he promptly showed up at 8:15. He assured me the water pump was bad and needed a new pump. He said that my machine was a very good model and worth cost of $194.00 for the new pump. I also asked him to look at my ice maker, it had not worked in many years. He noticed that the ice maker was gone, I told him that my husband had removed it, he was going to repair it himself, but was unable to do so. My husband had been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's, and I did not realize how bad he was when he thought he could repair things. The repairman then noticed that my husband had also removed all the tubing from the back of the refrigerator, he replaced all the tubing, installed a new ice maker, the cost for this $349.00. The next morning I noticed water on the floor in front of the refrigerator, I called Advanced Appliance repair, he told me how to stop the water leak, he came out the next morning replaced the icemaker at no charge. I have not had any problems with either the washing machine or the ice maker. I would definately call them again for any repair work.

Chris was smart enough to ask me which refrigerator brand I owned, and quickly told me he does NOT work on LG or Samsung refrigerators. He explained it's too hard to get parts for LG or Samsung. I'm glad he explained this to me before the service call.

I will definitely call on this company again. After I described what our refrigerator had done, he was nice enough to save me the cost of a service call and tell me that it was probably fine if it was working now. Very courteous and informative.

This company is fantastic! I called first thing in the morning and Chris was able to fit me into his schedule. He gave me a 2 hour window and when I asked him to be on the earlier side he said he would do what he could. He ended up arriving 20 minutes early and was done within 20 minutes! He also provided me with a few recommendations on the type of washing machine to get (or avoid!) in the future if I do end up replacing my existing machine. Great service overall and highly recommended!

I own this rental property. My tenant called concerning the refrigerator leaking. I consulted Angies List to pick a local contractor with good reviews. My tenant set up the service call and the problems were fixed in one visit. Everybody was happy.

This is the second time we have used Chris, the owner of this company. When the refrigerator started leaking water from the freezer section, there wasn't a doubt who we would call based on the very favorable impression he made on us the first time we used him (he fixed our clothes dryer that time). Chris worked with us to schedule a time that was good for all, showed up at that time, made the repair after discussing options, and was very professional in doing all. Although I certainly don't like it when one of our appliances breaks, I know who I will call to have it fixed.

GChris came out within two hours of calling his office. He identified the problem and set up an appointment to install the new part which he had to order. The problem was solved within two days of my initial contact. I am very satisfied with Chris' work and will definitely use Advanced Appliance Repair again when needed.

Chris was very prompt and professional, from returning the phone call to scheduling us on the very next day to dealing with issues with our very small area in the kitchen. He came and replaced our very old and outdated garbage disposal. While completing the work for us, he was kind enough to provide information on how to better improve the functionality of our dishwasher in response to my request for information about how to repair or replace it as it was not functioning well. He provided tips on how to clean and properly use the dishwasher, in additional to replacing the garbage disposal. He was very kind and took the time to help me understand what was causing the problems and how to avoid the major issues in the future. He was very reasonable and was able to complete all the work in a very short amount of time.

I called to have my dryer fixed. Chris, the technician came out the very next moring & from start to finish it took less than 45 minutes. He was on time, very professional & knowledgeable about my appliance. He gave me tips on extending the life of my dryer. I would use there services again!

Called to get service on my 20 year old Speed Queen washer. Chris was informative, stated that this brand is no longer made and cannot get parts very easily, if at all. He recommended purchasing a new washer and recommended the best brands to look for and several stores to visit. He was very helpful.

Service was completed in 30 minutes and I was able to get on my way to work.

This is the second time I used Advanced Appliance Repair and I'm sure it won't be the last!! Chris is very punctual (early both times) and very knowledgeable.

Great experience. Chris communicated well, was punctual, thorough, and professional. He spent about an hour diagnosing the problem on my dryer (no heat). At first it seemed that a relay was the problem, but after he installed the relay, he double checked some other stuff and realized that the dryer had bigger problems and wouldn't last much longer. He said it was a good unit, but not worth fixing. He only charged me the service fee of $55, which was completely reasonable considering how much time and effort he expended, his travel costs, etc. I've already recommended him to family members and I won't hesitate to call him in the future if I need his services. It's nice to find quality service like this!

It went great! The dryer would not start at all and I seriously considered just buying a new one as the dryer is about 7 years old. Before making a decision to buy a new one, I looked on Angie's List and the evaluations of Advanced Repair sounded really good and they were in this area. I called and the owner/operator came out promptly, identified the problem and fixed it in very little time in a very professional manner. He is very knowledgeble about appliances and was very willing to answer my questions in detail. I will not hesitate to recomend him to my friends and I will call him whenever I need to have appliances repaired.

Chris had an appointment cancellation and was able to come to the house immeadiately. The whole process took less than a half hour. Chris's appearince was starched, professional, and clean. Uniform had his name on it. Chris was very soft spoken, respectful, and very professional. My 88 year old mother-in-law was very comfortable with his presence, which is very unusual. After calling to explain that my washing machine had died I was thrilled to hear that someone would be out early the very next morning to accommodate my crazy schedule. Chris was here as early as expected and did a fantastic job in a timely manner. He was very professional and courteous and I would highly recommend Advanced Appliance Repair.

Although prompt and courteous, we feel that we should have been told at the outset that a credit card would not be accepted for payment (Cash or Check only). We were not told of this requirement until work was completed. We feel that the price seemed high. No breakdown between labor and parts was indicated on receipt / invoice making pricing hard to evaluate. It seems that a company requiring cash or check should have the ability to make change for cash paid. This cost us a few extra dollars. This seems unprofessional. Not taking a credit card in this day and time seems unprofessional for a "Going-Concern" and tends to make company seem "suspect". In the future we will inquire about means of payment prior to asking for service and ask about availability of a detailed invoice. It is doubtful that a company that doesn't take a credit card will be utilized.

Chris came out on time and actually rearranged his schedule to accommodate me. He examined the machine and found that it was functioning perfectly so there was only the $55 service charge. He could have tried to sell me unnecessary parts but was very honest. I asked if there were any hoses that might need replacing and he told me my machine was one of the really good machines made by Maytag before they went out of business and nothing needed replacing. He even took the time to determine the water problem. He said the machine was over-flowing the drain and showed me the water marks on the wall. I told him I had watched the wash cycle and there was no over-flow. He explained that the over-flow may not happen until the rinse cycle, when the water from the wash, already in the drainpipe, caused the pipe to back up. Since I had already used a 6 foot drain snake, he recommended having a plumber take a look, as the plug probably required a longer, commercial drain snake. I really appreciate his honesty and integrity. It was worth $55 to meet a decent, honest person! I highly recommend him and will call him again in the future.

Tech was great. after discussing with him, the washing machine was not actually malfunctioning, I was using a cycle improperly. he could have sold me a part unnecessarily, but he didn't. Very honest.
