This company is slow. The closing for the buyers did occur on time, but we were the sellers, completing the transaction from out of town. There were problems with receiving the closing paperwork, and proper communication. Getting the paperwork to sign was a big ordeal and caused us to run around town trying to get papers notarized, before COB on a Friday. Once the paperwork was done, it took them 2 weeks to get me my balance of funds from the sale. First, they tried to mail my check, but I don't think it was ever mailed. My 1099 showed up with no check. I called one week after my realtor told me the title co had mailed it. The day I was told it was mailed was 3 business days after my mortgage had even been paid off. Very slow. The employee wasn't sure where the check was. There were several stories I was told. The first was I should wait 2 more business days to see if it showed up, then when I asked what day the 1099 was mailed so I could compare timeframes, I did not get an answer. So, I called my realtor to complain since they were local and everyone decided to wire the money. This is the way it should have been done to begin with. So, I provided my wiring instructions at 1:20pm since their bank could not complete a wire after 2pm (title co was closed from 12-1). The next business day I called at 1pm to check on the status since my funds were not in my account. The employee told me she didn't get to it the previous day because she did not receive the information until after 2pm. She didn't receive the information because she didn't go back to the office in time to even see my information. But, when I was talking to her, she still hadn't made the wire, more than half way through the business day. Then we got into an argument about the check that she claims was sent with the 1099. The check was not with the 1099, and I assured her it was not. Then I was accused of loosing the check and it would be a $20 fee to stop payment. But, my realtor had already told her he would cover the cost of any fees, so long as I finally got my money. The title co did finally wire my money, and it showed up in my account the same day, 2 weeks after my mortgage was paid off. If I still lived in the area, I would never use this company, but my realtor, will never use this company.
