Owner Randy spent a lot of time educating us about windows, and did a great job of guiding us through the evaluation and selection of new windows.  The Ultra Windows installation crew did a magnificent job removing the old and installing new windows.  They carefully maintained a clean work site, and did an outstanding  job on the critical installation work.  New windows were installed square and level, in spite of dealing with irregularities in framing and squareness of openings.  Every window was very carefully foam sealed against air penetration and well caulked to resist water penetration. The entire job was completed in two days.
We looked at several bids from area window companies, and found that Ultra Windows pricing was considerably lower than the others, for a product that is at least as good, if not better, than much more expensive alternatives.  We couldn't be more pleased with the project.

These guys did a bang up job. Mike Goins was extremely professional and helpful throughout the entire process. His crew showed up on time, worked quickly and efficiently, cleaned up and left the place looking untouched except for our new spiffy windows. 
I would definitely recommend this company to anyone, especially after getting burned by a different window contractor shortly before.

Michael Goins, the sales representative, was extremely courteous and very well informed. He presented the variety of products they carry. He answered all my questions, and was very patient. Did not pitch a higher product than what I needed, and did not pressure me to make a sale. I initially replaced 6 windows. The crew were outstanding and very professional. They arrived on time and performed well beyond my expectations. They insured my furniture and floors were covered and protected, removed the old windows and installed the new ones with ease. The key with Ultra Windows is the attention to detail they show while installing. They insulated the openings before installing the windows. That is the key to protect from heat gain/loss. I was impressed with the work I ordered the rest of my windows and they delivered the same quality when installing. I would recommend them without hesitation. They know windows and they know how to install them.

They were basically incredible.  They were fast.  They covered everything to keep things clean.  The windows have a special feature that keeps out the sun.  They are perfectionists.  It was expensive as we got more expensive windows. They waive a 3% fee.  One window has a scratch and they are replacing it.  I got them off Angie's List. 

Ultra Windows is exceptional.  Randy knows windows inside and out (I pestered him with a myriad of questions and cross-referenced his answers), has outstanding products (in our case, thermally broken aluminum windows), an outstanding installation team, and a very fair price.

I really liked them.  They were very helpful without being obnoxious.  They had a product that I liked.  They had a choice of vinyl and thermally broken windows.  I had looked at vinyl windows and didn't really like them.  It seemed too vinyly.  The thermally broken aluminum framed windows are really recommended for the south coast areas because it's so hot.  It doesn't do all that well for cold weather but for hot weather they are great so we went with that.  They are double-paned and our heating bill has gone down.  You don’t even look by the windows and it’s not hot.  The house keeps the temperature pleasanter without air-conditioning.  Their price was spot on right where it needed to be.  They were very responsive.  They were very punctual.  They were very professional and also very personal.  They responded by email. 

Every single phase of our experience with Ultra Windows was outstanding, from the initial consultation with owner Randy Swearingen, to the installation process, to the follow-up after the service. I truly appreciate the way Randy conducts his business. He understands what it takes to maintain a top level of professionalism throughout the process, and he shows a sincere dedication to customer satisfaction. The installation crew did a great job, performed according to schedule and kept the work areas spotless. Our price was quite fair — actually less than the three other companies we spoke with by about 15%. I would not hesitate to recommend Ultra Windows to anyone I know. I just wish I could find this level of service with every contractor I use.

I was very pleased with them and would have chose them if it wasn't for the fact that they did not have the window style that I needed. I would give them an "A+" across the board. They were extremely professional, I really enjoyed dealing with them. They were very, very punctual and knowledgeable. They were very informative, they had a lot of information on their product. I actually thought their windows were significantly more energy efficient than the ones I went with, the style was just not the ones I needed.

Ultra Windows was about the fifth company we spoke with, estimates ranged from about $8.5K to $17K. Ultra Windows' quote was about $1K under that of a large construction company. UW quoted a a better grade of Simonton window, and included installation using low expansion foam (vs. caulk only which is what the big company proposed to do). Randy was good to work with, coming to the house twice to quote & finalize the deal. He has his own crew and they install windows "correctly" using foam. If you're going to spend a small fortune upgrading your windows, don't you want it done right? They also use a heat gun and removed the glass in the old windows to minimize the mess. Everything took place in a timely manner. The install took two full days and the crew did a very good job, including clean-up. Randy made some errors on the window order, but took responsibility and made it right (they had to re-order/reinstall the glass in two of the windows but they fit into the installed frames). After the install we notice some caulk cracking around one windows, and another window was a little hard to open. Randy came by to inspect, and had his main guy come buy and both issues are fixed to our satisfaction. Other than the minor hassle of scheduling the extra visits, we are extremely happy with the windows and installation. If you're going to get windows in the Houston area I'd strongly suggest you consult with Ultra Windows before making a decision.

I contacted Randy at Ultra Windows after finding the company here on Angie's list. Randy worked very patiently with us for several days, helping us understand all the choices available to us, and helping us choose the best replacement windows for our needs and budget. Along the way, he taught me more than I ever thought I would need to know about Windows. We received a professionally prepared quote and contract, which we agreed to. The Ultra Windows crew, headed by crew chief George, did a magnificent job of installing the new windows! Each window was very carefully fitted, leveled and secured in place. All openings around the windows were fully sealed with special foam insulation for windows, in such a way that air infiltration around the windows will be absolutely minimized. After the foam sealing was set, the interior and exterior was cleanly caulked. All the windows and frames were thoroughly cleaned and left in perfect condition. As we were working with Randy, I was learning not only about the new world of windows (double-pane "glass package" with Low-E 366 coated glass, ultra-spacers, argon gas fill, etc.), but also about overall home energy efficiency. Ultra Windows high-quality installation practices minimize hot and cold air infiltration into the home, and fit in with other measures for sealing the house against air leakage and reducing energy cost. With all that we have learned, I expect to be able to reduce our summer air conditioning bills by as much as half. Ultra Windows gets my highest recommendation for a job well done.

I have only a few words for the work that they did! Fantastic! Overall a star rate job.

We had a horrible experience replacing on our last house and this was like night and day! Lone Star supplied us with a very thorough contract that covered all aspects of the window replacement process. Randy was here every day to check on how things were going. The crew that replaced the windows were factory trained employees (not subcontractors) who removed the old windows very carefully, pane by pane, using a heat gun and then installed the new windows very carefully. They used composite shims and insured the windows were plumb and square. The windows look AMAZING!!! This has been such a wonderfully low-stress experience. I can't recommend this company highly enough. DO NOT use any other company -- go with Lone Star!
