Rothco Tree Service

Man, these guys are good. I was looking to trim and shape a number of trees in my front, side and back yards to accomplich a number of goals. I did a complete walk-through with the salesperson who responded to my request. He took good notes and provided a quote that looked reasonable so I scheduled the work. The first appointment was rained out so we re-scheduled for the 26th of February. They did exactly what I was looking for and a bit more and did it in a very professional manner. None of the work was too challenging for them but it took the crew of 4 or 5 approximately 4 hours to complete the job. it included; - trimming several trees in the front and side yards to allow more sun to reach the grass. - completely re-shaping and pulling off a neighbor's house a tree on the side yard, - trimming and cleaning up two palms that had grown too large for me to maintain. - thinning out a crepe myrtle that was seriously crowding other plants and trees around the back of the pool - some additional small tasks All of these were done to perfection but what really impressed me was the care they took in protecting the other plants and the pool. They used a tarp to cover most of the pool and afterward made sure to scoop any remaining "stuff" out of the pool. They left our yard cleaner than when they arrived and everything looks great.

This is the second time I have used Rothco and I have been happy both times. They have always been prompt on appointment times (for the original estimate and the day of service). The dead pine was near a club house in the woods. They were careful to ensure no damage was incurred. In addition they did a great job taking down the Bradford Pear as well as stump grinding it. Clean up was superb as they left both areas better and cleaner than they were when they arrived. After getting multiple quotes, I found them to be fairly competitive, especially if you use the Aggies List Coupon ($50 off). The above price was after the coupon was applied.

The office manager communicated with me via telephone and emails from the beginning of our business relationship. She was extremely courteous and informative. My requests and concerns were relayed to the owner, and I received a quote for several scenarios about which I inquired, eventually settling upon all stumps being ground and azalea roots being extracted. This company is extremely efficient, communicative and punctual. After the services were performed, they raked, cleaned the areas affected, and used a leaf blower to tidy all areas of our yard. One would never know that so much work was done, as everything looked undisturbed and neat. I will definitely give them as a reference to anyone who needs any type of service provided by a tree company, and will call them again in the future.

Best tree service I've ever used and would definitely use them again. They had to be careful pruning the redbud, as it had branched out over the neighbor's roof and driveway--did an excellent job. Professional and polite.

Rothco removed a VERY large tree in the middle of a large landscaped bed. Cory, the office manager was great in working with us to meet our scheduling needs. Crew showed up exactly on time and got to work. They were amazing! They did not disturb any of surrounding landscaping, cleaned up with no evidence they were even there. Justin, the supervisor came by to check on the project to make sure everything was going as planned and to make sure we were satisfied. Rothco was the most professional tree service we have every used and would highly recommend them and will use them in the future.

Rothco arrived at the appointed time and proceeded to cut the palm tree down in sections from the top down. The yard is heavily landscaped, but Rothco was able to cut the sections down and then lower them with ropes without damaging any of the shrubs or other landscaping material. They then carried off the sections to dispose of them. In order to cut down the topmost section, they had to scale a nearby palm tree knocking off a good portion of the dead material on the trunk of this palm tree. After the large palm had been removed, they went back and completely trimmed up the other palm tree leaving it in much better shape than it was when they arrived. This was done at no additional charge. When all work was done, they racked the debris from the entire area and removed it. Then they ran a blower to clean off the concrete patio and other landscape structures. I was somewhat concerned for the safety of the crew since the tree had been hit by lightning, but they fully understood the issue and tested the integrity of the tree as they climbed it and no problems resulted. All in all, it was a very professional job done with the aim of complete customer satisfaction.

Rothco was excellent and I will definitely be calling them again! They responded to my initial phone call quickly and came out to do an estimate. The staff was knowledgable and professional. I received four estimates for the job and Rothco was the least expensive, which initially made me nervous. It was the prompt response, professionalism, and thoroughness that made me decide to choose them. They email estimates quickly, return calls quickly, call to confirm appointments, give a 30 minute courtesy call.... just overall excellent customer service. The crew showed up on time, were knowledgeable and friendly, and got right to work. They wore company shirts, which added to the overall professionalism. I asked if it was possible to add a few branches to be trimmed (that were not on the bid) and they said it was not a problem and did not charge me any extra. They cleaned up and removed all debris. The job was thorough and well done. I will use Rothco again and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

very professional, wouldn't think of hiring any other tree service.

I needed a number of tall pine trees removed and had contacted Rothco for an estimate a year and a half ago but was not able to do it at that time. I knew I would call them again. Justin came out within one day of my call to provide an estimate. They started the work 9/17 but got rained out. They finished the work 9/24. They have a great crew that really works as a team. It was amazing to watch them in action. When they were done you could not even tell anyone had taken down the trees. It was as if they never existed in the first place. A great team!! And superb clean up. Even my neighbor commented about the clean up job. I have a lot more tree work and removal needed and I will be calling Rothco again.

We dealt with Matt, who is very friendly, courteous, and professional. His crew arrived right on time, and they completed the job in less than two hours. The entire crew was very professional and safety conscious. They used all the best tools and equipment to get the job done right, and when they were through, they did an amazing job of cleaning up our yard! (It looked much better when they left than before they arrived!)

From start to finish this has been an outstanding project. Arrived on time for the quote. Presented it well. Included recommendations for future care of trees. Senior discount applied. Crew arrived as scheduled. Matthew introduced them and we reviewed the project. They protected their work vehicles and site with cones and were very responsive to all the traffic and other contractors in the immediate area. Immediately began work and it was evident they all knew their jobs and their role in the team. Well coordinated effort throughout. I noticed that they had a very specific process for removing the tree and used that as each branch/log was removed. Very safety oriented. Job site was cleaned up and looks great. Everything went very well. They were up front, kind, and the clean up was excellent.

It went great. They came out to give an estimate the day after I called. The work was done a few days later. They left the place better than it was when they arrived. I was very pleased. The price looks high, but it was more than fair for what they did. I have since, recommended them to my brother and to my best friend.

They showed up close to scheduled time and they were professional. Did a really nice job on trimming, removal, and they took the tree stump down quite a ways. All material and debris were cleaned up.

Rothco gave me so much more for my money than the other tree services that I've used! They were just a few $$ higher, but so worth the money! I didn't even have time to ask them for proof of insurance before they sent it to me. I am very pleased with the service. They provided a well written quote and when I asked them to clarify a couple of items, they did so promptly and professionally. For the initial appointment there was a mix up with the phone numbers I had given them and once I realized they were calling the wrong number, I called them back. I fully expected them to put off the estimate for another day since they had already come out but couldn't get in the gate. Nope, Justin came out again that afternoon and walked the property with me like he had nowhere else to be on a Saturday afternoon. He was very helpful while I was trying to decide which trees should come down and which ones may still have some life in them. He was not working just around the corner, either so it was a long drive for him. I received the quote along with proof of insurance/bonding on the next business day. They came in a bit higher than the other companies so I replied that I regretted I couldn't use them due to that fact. Well, I'll be danged if they didn't reduce it enough so I could go with them! Considering the way I was treated, they were worth every penny of the original quote and more. They removed everything so that you can't even tell we had trees there to begin with. I've used 3 other companies, and no one - NOT ONE OF THEM - left the property looking as good as this company did. They were even kind enough to take off some of the logs left from the last time we had trees taken down for a small charge. The electrical lines were cleared very nicely with nothing close or even near close to hitting them. The 17 trees they removed were oak and pine and most were very tall. We had several close to the house that they either removed or trimmed and nothing hit the roof. Once they were done, they stayed and walked the property with me once again to confirm everything was done to my liking - THEN they loaded everything up. Other companies loaded machines up first, which left you feeling like a jerk if you asked them to do something they missed. I don't think you can go wrong with this company handling any tree issues you have! Oh, nice touch - they sent me a Thank You card!

I am SUPER pleased. Rothco provided a timely quote (very competitive with other bids) and scheduled the work to meet my requirements. Cory followed up with emails, and reminders, and called 45 minutes before arrival - just as I asked. Matthew and the whole team is very polite and professional. They were excellent -- very helpful! They did a good job in trimming. I'd highly recommend them to anyone! They cleaned up everything very nicely. They even sent us a thank you card! Work was performed safely by a crew and owners with great attitude and attention to detail. This is the second time we have used Rothco for some fairly difficult and extensive work, and both times their performance was outstanding. The Crew for a Day approach gave us the flexibility to change our mind on some things after seeing the results of the more significant portions of the job.
