This is the second time Rothco has trimmed our trees. The do an excellent job and clean up every twig and leaf. They are great professionals.

Great company, they came on time and took great measures when working to not damage any existing property. It was a pleasure to have a company live up to their A rating. Would use again in a heartbeat.

The same as the last few times we used their services. The work was done quickly, thoroughly and the crew left our yard as clean or cleaner than they found it.

We've used Rothco numerous times. They are always a good choice and do a great job.

They came out and gave us a very fair price to hydro-mulch all around the fence line and to clear an area behind the barn of trees and stumps. We also had a couple of huge piles of stuff we'd removed ourselves. They brought 2 crews and even managed to keep from tearing up the lawn even though they had to move equipment over it. They were on time, professional, and knowledgeable about what trees really needed to go and which ones should stay.

The crew was amazing and the work was very well done. Rothco did a great job quoting the various scopes. Their prices were very fair, and they were on time to every appointment. The crews have been on time every time, and the work was done meticulously and with precision. Rothco's crew is extremely professional and needs little supervision, so it simply could not be a better experience. There is also a company owner on every job site, so it's very easy to discuss and communicate with the crew about the work. Cory, their office manager, is also very easy to reach and work with.

It went very well, they showed up on time, covered the pool with a tarp and did an excellent job and cleaned up afterward.

This is the second time I have used this service and unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone needing tree work done. They are wonderful. Even the neighbors were impressed with the service...two crews...one to remove the tree, one to clean up....and I mean clean up. Couldn't even tell they had been there. Neighbors were wowed too!

This is how you want a job to go. Rothco Tree Service arrived precisely at the time they had told us. The crew of six worked efficiently and professionally from the moment of their arrival. Our first clue that we were in good hands was that they covered our pool with tarps and tied them down, to cut down on debris in the water. The crew was courteous, hard-working, and meticulous. It was almost like watching sculptors at work. At the end of the day, it didn't look at all like our trees had been scalped. Everything looked very natural. Just better. Much, much better. And we couldn't believe the amount of wood they hauled (on their shoulders) from our back yard to their chipper in front. The crew worked a full day. And when they quietly drove off at the end of the afternoon, everything was tidy. Trash, tarps, tools -- everything was picked up. Not a single leaf was left lying around. They even netted the small amount of debris out of the pool after the tarps were removed. We had used Rothco a few years ago. Fortunately, we had made a note of how pleased we were then. This time was further proof that these people are pros. We will most definitely use them again. And we happily and heartily recommend them to anyone. (Including you, reading this.) The price they quoted was fair, and they earned every penny. So, I'll say it again. This is how you want a job to go.

Prompt and courteous describes Rothco Tree Service in every way. They were quick to respond to my inquiry of their services in scheduling a free estimate to setting up the appointment for the following week. My husband was totally impressed with the way the handled taking down the trees we marked, to grinding all the stumps and kindly stacking the logs to the back of the property for us. Everyone was kind, courteous and attentive through the entire process. We will recommend them to everyone and call them back for all our future needs.

When looking for a professional and knowledgeable tree service company, look no further than the locally owned Rothco Tree Service Company. From start to finish, the entire staff at the company is professional and timely in addressing your tree service needs. The team scheduled a FREE estimate within 24 hours of calling with Justin arriving to survey the property and establish the scope of work to be performed. After our meeting, the office staff emailed a clear and well documented scope of work and cost estimate, again with 24 hours. All the discussions for each tree were well noted in the proposal as well as proper insurance certificates in the event of a worker injury. After reviewing 4 contractor proposals, Rothco was awarded the work based on completeness of estimate, knowledge of requested services and competitive cost. After awarding the work, the team quickly scheduled me within their workload per my requested dates. On the day of the work, team arrived on time with all the proper safety gear and equipment. Justin and crew captain/co-owner Matthew walked the crew through the entire job. Team of seven proceeded to execute the work by first covering the pool with tarps and securing the area. All work was done with a high degree of care and professionalism. If questions emerged, Matthew would consult me to ensure they were meeting expectations. Needless to say, the team did an excellent job not only pruning but also cleaning and removing all the debris from yard. So if you are a North-sider in Houston, give this contractor a chance, I can promise you will be more than pleased. Great company. These guys are great! From the management of the office staff, the estimator, and the service performed were all an A+ experience. I have used this company on different properties and i am always glad to work with them. They are a great value for the service they provide and i encouraged my other 2 neighbors to do so as well. One neighbor called me immediately to tell me that they were appreciative that i had referred them to such a great team. I use to get multiple bids for this type of service - now i just call Rothco and they take care of me every time.

Beyond impressive. Emailed 3 companies on Angies List (on a Saturday night) for a quote ... still haven't heard from 1, another said it would be a least 1 week to get an estimator to my house. ROTHCO, on the other hand, had an estimator at my house by lunch time the following Monday (< 48 hours). The entire rest of the experience was very similar. Reasonable price, highly professional. Heck, they unexpectedly fixed my damaged fence for me ... AND brought their OWN mulch to put around the newly installed tree. If there was a grade above an "A" ... Rothco deserves it ...

Matthew came out with two team members and they set to work on the to do list which included trimming up fronds of three very tall palms with dead fronds. The trees had to be climbed lineman style. They also trimmed the bark on the way down. Also on the to do list was a dead limb hanging in a tree that needed to have its canopy raised as well as grinding about a dozen stumps on the property. I was delighted to see them cover the pool before starting on the palms. The stump grinding went well until close to the end when a belt on the grinder broke and Matthew had to stop, but in a few days he was back to finish the job. The tasks turned out to be a much bigger job that I anticipated. They worked hard, non stop, and cleaned up beautifully. Although at first I thought the price was high, I changed my mind about it watching them work. We will be hiring them again in the future, I am sure.

They did a very poor job at trimming back the branches. They created well over a thousand dollars worth of roof damage through improper removal. I had three different roofers come out and all explained the damage to the new roof was because of Rothco's Tree Services negligence which Rothco refused to have repaired. Rothco tree service does carry insurance but their provider will not side in your favor, their insurance adjuster will only side on the behalf of Rothco. I think this is an arrangement they have with each other. I tried several times to come to some sort of compromise but, again, Rothco tree service refused to be decent human beings and charged us for all of the work they said they completed refusing to pay a cent for their damage to our new roof. They were also,very devious about threatening us with their collections agency. I do not recommend this company.

These guys are simply awesome!! Justin and Matthew Roth own, and work hard for the company and have a lot of personal and business integrity. They are knowledgeable, punctual, friendly, and do a great job. Because they carry legitimate workers compensation and liability insurance you don't have to worry about someone getting hurt working on your property. Forget about the guys who tape their business card to your mailbox advertising for tree service. Those guys DON'T have insurance and if one of their workers gets injured, guess who their family will sue........ small hint here folks........ it's YOU!! We did the "crew for a day" for $1695 and they got a lot done. They worked steady all day and got more done than I thought they would. We had them cut 10+ big trees down, trim some limbs to make a big oak tree look nicer, and generally clean up the front and back yard, they must have cut down at least 20-25 trees. They ground something like 30 stumps including a bunch of old ones from the previous owner. When they left it was as if they were never there, trees gone, branches shredded into the truck, and all the stumps ground down below ground level. They had to take down a section of my wooden fence to get in the back yard to get in there with equipment but they put it back like it was never taken down. Then we had them back a few weeks later for $1400 to clear about 3/4 acre of extremely heavy brush and small trees to expand the front and back yard. They brought a well maintained flail hammer on a huge Bobcat and spent all day shredding the brush and small trees to give us a bigger yard. They worked all day and I don't think the guy in the Bobcat ever stopped for lunch, he worked for 9 hours straight!!! It was awesome to reclaim that much of the yard. They did exactly what we asked for and never tried to steer us away from doing something because it was extra work for them. Bottom line folks.... these guys do a great job for a fair price and you can trust they will give you more than you expect. We will absolutely be using them for our next tree removal project.

From start to finish, the whole process with Rothco was flawless. From Justin meeting at house to determine work to be done, to the quote with detailed work items from Cory, scheduling work dates and times, to actual work done by Matt and crew, there was never an issue. I will absolutely be contacting Rothco in the future to schedule any tree service. Really impressed with this organization!

This is the second time that I have used them. They have been very professional. Josh the guy that came out to do the estimate, we walked through the property was very professional. I asked him about the different trees and what should I be concerned about, he was frank and he told me what could wait and what couldn't. I was preparing my property for horses. He spent a lot of time evaluating the property. He spent two hours just for an estimate and did not charge me for it. He gave me a good evaluation and I asked him for three different estimates for three different things that I was thinking of doing. I think I could have gotten a better price through the Angie's List deals but, they threw in some extras. I would use them again.

It took about 8 hours for both trees to be removed and the area cleaned. They did a fantastic job cleaning up afterward. They covered the pool before beginning the job, and scooped out any debris that got under the tarp. All debris was removed and they left the yard looking better than when they came. They were also one of the lowest bidders and provided proof of insurance without being asked.

The crew does more than just trim. They sculpted what was an overgrown tree/ bush into a esthetic design with more space and ample shade. Furthermore they cleaned the sight thoroughly. You can't possibly go wrong if you choose this tree trim service.

Great! They not only did the job they were hired for but left my yard cleaner than the way they found it.

They responded quickly with an estimate and scheduling. They showed up on time, were courteous and friendly. They covered up the swimming pool to keep the debris out. They pruned the tree skirts and removed remnants of old fronds. The palm trees look great! When the 4 man crew was finished, the yard was completely cleaned up. They raked and used a blower to remove all debris from the yard and the street. They even dumped the pool skimmer baskets. I would highly recommend them and will use them next time I need tree service.

The team of 5 came between pre-scheduled window time. They were very professional, the leader discussed with me first about what they gonna do so we were on the same page. The work took about 3 hrs and they cleaned up after very well. Overall, their service was top of the line and the price was right. The manager is promptly updated you with schedule or rescheduling. I would definitely to use this guys again for my next project.
