Right off the gate, stated we needed a new intake in the home that the unit is not performing well because of it. We have had annual inspections every year and no one has ever mentioned cutting a hole in the ceiling to add an intake, it just sounded expensive and so last resortish. He went upstairs and indicated I would need a new pan as the one there was rusting. I apparently needed filters changed, and only had one of the 2 needed, he did not change it while he was there. Usually in my annual check ups the techs have done that as part of the service.
One thing I did notice, is when he tested the units he apparently had to bring them both down to 63 degrees. We left when he left, and 24 hours later when I came home the house felt like an igloo. I ran to the unit thinking oh my God the electric bill will kill me! As I suspected, both units ran all day and night to keep the house as 63 as he requested. I feel he should have made sure all was back like it was found.
He was polite, and at some point I did mention I have American Home shield and he agreed to write up what he felt needed to be done so I could give them the list.
The amount we paid is no ones business. I can say they were reasonable.
