 + -1 moreThis experience went very well. Richard's wife answered the phone, was positive, helpful and informative. She scheduled the appointment. They came on time. They were very efficient and neat. After our discussion and decision to not fix the washer, they put it all back together again, made suggestions for buying a new washer and helped me to know what was important to look for. I paid $75 for this visit and had they repaired it it would have been used towards the payment for the repair.
Description of Work: Richard and his father came to the house to diagnose my broken washing machine. It was making a funny sound with an accompanying electrical odor. His wife answered the phone when I initially called and asked about the model and serial number of my machine. She said that they would have the basic parts with them when they arrived. They made an appointment within a two hour window and came right in the middle of that window; calling ahead with 15 minutes notice. When Richard and his father arrived they looked at the machine, spent about 10 minutes taking it apart and diagnosing the problem. Richard came to me with the timer and showed me how it worked, what was the problem and said that it would cost a couple hundred dollars to replace the timer and the hoses just in part costs and the labor would be additional. He said that he would fix it if I wanted him to, but he would recommend not fixing it. He made several suggestions, told me what to look for as I shopped. Knowledgeable man.
