There is a local plumbing company, which calls itself the ?punctual plumber.? That is not Baker Brothers Plumbing. Our repair took three service calls. On the first two days, we received courtesy call indicating they would be here in 30 ? 45 minutes. In both cases they actually arrived about two hours later. I have to admit that the weather was turning bad on the day of the first call and we we?re still recovering from the icy roads on the day of the second call, so I could understand the tardiness. On the third day, we received the call but they said it could be up to an hour before they would arrive. On that day they actually made it in about 30 - 45 minutes. We called them for a water leak in our kitchen on a Wednesday. The earliest they could schedule a service call was the next day (Thursday) in the afternoon. That technician was able to determine there was a hot water leak in the foundation slab. The earliest they could schedule the repair was the next Monday. In the mean time he showed us how to turn the hot water on and off so that we wouldn?t have a constant leak. He also gave us three estimates for the repair work depending upon how many holes needed to be made and whether they needed to dig through a beam in the foundation. We were told they should be here around 8:30 to 9:00 AM on Monday and that they would call 30 minutes in advance. That Monday when we hadn?t received a call by 9:30 AM, I called them. I was told that we were scheduled for Tuesday not Monday as we were told. Not only were we forced to go an additional day without hot water on demand, but also we had to arrange to be home for a second day. (My wife and I were on vacation from work this week, so we didn?t miss any work, but we had to cancel a trip we had planned to the gulf coast.) Perhaps I?m being a little severe in my criticism of their punctuality since we were experiencing icy roads, but the Monday versus Tuesday scheduling mix-up really made me mad. They were not able to complete the repair on Tuesday, so our repair went into a third day. On the third day, they accidentally cut into the cold water pipe, so for several hours we had no water in the house. In Baker Brothers? commercials they say they can ?solve all your plumbing problems in the same call.? Obviously this was not the case for our leak, which took three service calls. All the technicians were very neat. On the second call when they had to jack hammer into our foundation slab, they laid down a path of drop cloths so they could carry their equipment in and the debris out. The even removed the remaining ice from our front walk. (This was probably for their own safety.) Our final cost was the middle of the three estimates. (They only dug one whole but they had to dig through a beam.) Bottom line is that I think they did a good job, but I am unhappy about the amount of time it took. I first called on Wednesday morning at it was the next Tuesday evening before our plumbing was repaired.

Repairman was polite and we were impressed with the quality of the repair.

It went very well. We have had Kyle out before and were as pleased with his work this time as last. One thing he did was provide each job two estimates before beginning work; one for replacement and a second for repair. Non-the-less I was hit with sticker shock. This must be common because the company has an advertisement that lists all the things that go into the cost of running their business. I find this a little disingenuous since any business has the same costs. Non-the-less the overall "A" rating still applies.

They were fine. They did a great job. It was all done in one day. The guy who came out was nice.

Prompt response to call. The kitchen sink was nearly over flowing with nasty backup (including cat food remains) The plumber was prompt and continued to work while I was on a conference call. He unstopped the drain by taking the everything apart and cleaning it out. After clearing the line, he carefully cleaned up the mess under the cabinet and gave me a 30 day warranty if I managed to stop it up again in the next month. Very thorough and professional. I was very pleased and will definitely call Baker Brothers again.

Arrived on time, friendly and did a very good job of explaining the problem and what it would take to repair and the cost of the repair

They installed the new water heater as requested. Brought it up to today's codes. Professional.

They are good. They're on time. They're clean and careful; they don't mess up things.

I did not let them do the job, Way to expensive for the job. I have another contractor fixing a pipe in the pool and they are charging half of what this company is charging, and the are working thru concrete. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. After a I told him that we would not do the job then he asked be what would I be willing to pay!!! And starts to tell me that he can do it for $650?..

They have relocated plumbing for a laundry room remodel and have helped us repair an under slab leak.

Everything went extremely well! They were actually recommended by another plumbing company I called first but they could not schedule me in. The water heater expired in the morning and I began calling for an available plumber. Baker Brothers was able to come to our home around noon. The two men who arrived were very knowledgeable and professional in their work. They were able to remove the old water tank with the water to the house being off only a brief period of time. The new one was an excellent model which I believe they carry exclusively. This meant they had extremely good knowledge of how it performs. They reviewed the work they had done with me. They explained the warranty as well as the best methods I could use to maintain the new water heater and get the longest life from it. They also told me there would be a city inspector coming out to review their work which he did and gave it high marks. I signed up for an annual service checkup with Baker Brothers for plumbing which they have already performed. I will definitely call on Baker Brothers for all my plumbing needs and emergencies.

Third time using Baker Brothers and will use them again. Water was pooling in my yard. Baker Brothers came out and determined the leak was under the house. Steve came out and worked all day locating the leak, accessing the pipes and repairing the leak. Between Steve's skill and good fortune Steve had to bust only one hole in the concrete in order to repair the leak. He did an outstanding job.

The connections were made beautifully, but the plumber used a white caulk on dark brown counter tops. Not only was the sealant ugly, but did not form a water-tight seal. I insisted that the plumber use a clear sealant I had purchased. He used it around the sink and stovetop, but not in the drain or pipes. Two months later, the faucet had to be tightened. No charge. I am beginning to see that the sealant in the drain is dissolving when water is left in the sink for an extended time.

They responded promptly and completed work in a timely manner and at lower fee than quoted. The technician was very helpful and would use them again. Great experience!

Arrived on time. Addressed the problem and offered a couple of solutions. I opted to replace the pop up. The technician was neat with his work which is very important to me.

very professional. they have to evaulate job then give you a price and you have to sign work order for work to proceed. I would use them again because they will come out quickly but a bit pricey in my opinion

We have a gas fireplace and the pilot light went out. We know how to light a pilot light but we couldn't get the glass front off. It was a house that was new to us. We hadn't worked with it before and apparently in Texas, you have to call a plumber to light your pilot light. That was new to us. They gave us a quote of $39 and told us that if he needed to charge us anymore, then he would tell us before he did the work. He really had trouble getting the glass off and my husband helped him. My husband pretty much told him what to do. It didn't seem like he lit pilot lights but he said that in Texas that is what they have to do. It took him a long time. He was here for 30-45 minutes. When he handed us the bill, it was for $268. We told him that we were not paying that amount and he said he would charge us $139. My husband said no that we were told it would be $39 or he would give us a quote before the work was done. He said okay and it would be $39.

Had service call due to my water heater pilot light would not stay lit. The technichian could not get it lit either. He then spent a lot of time telling me how old my unit was, how I purcharsed the worst possible unit and that I needed to spend around $4000 and just let him put in a good unit. He told me I was wrong when I told him the unit wasnt that old. After he left and I refused his services, I called the Whirlpool warranty line because it should still be covered. She walked me through resetting my unit and it is still fine over a year later. Everyone remember to vacuum the dust out of the water heater closet, it will stop you from having to deal with people like the technichian who came to my home. I called his supervisor to complain and she said she would look into it, Never heard back from them, but they sure cashed my check.

Service provider was prompt, arrived when scheduled. Quickly diagnosed the problem but seemed reluctant to drive across town for the part needed to complete the repair. We had company coming into town that day so we needed the guest bathroom shower available. He completed the work in a professional manner. I have used Baker Brothers in the past and probably will use them again in the future. While their prices are a bit high, they are always prompt and do a good job.

Tech was professional in manner and explanation. No loss or unnecessary talk or time. Seemed sufficient for all any future jobs we may incur. We had tried 3 other plumbers previously and feel we will stick with this company.

I had priced around and pricing varied, but they offered a fixed rate for up to 8 hours. They were who my insurance ocmpany used when I had 2 slab leaks a couple years ago. At that time I also had them do the repairs (which is a separate service and fee). They are not the low cost provider, but they are dependable and I trust them. Wore plastic shoe covers anytime they entered the house, ran tarp all through the house so nothing was tracked in or out, and even went above and beyond to try to get one of my non-working pressure assisted commodes working. I feel I got what I wanted and needed. Plumbing tends to be pricey and I knew this would be no different, but at least I trust that what is said needs to be done, is what needs to be done.
