I was awakened by the sound of an alarm which I had never heard––the water detector in the drain pan of my hot water heater. I looked on Angie's List and called Baker Bros. They had the job done "same-day" as well as performing some other small plumbing services I requested of them as the old water heater drained. I have used them since on emergency Sunday service and have been very pleased.

Overall, they were professional and did a good job.

Noticed leak Friday morning on way to work, called and they came out that afternoon; because of the "nature of the beast" they had to turn the water off that evening and came back first thing Saturday. Made it work so I had water for the rest of the weekend but had to come out Monday to dig trench and redo the 30+ year old equipment. They are always prompt, professional and do a great job. Unfortunately, because of the age of my home, nothing done is every "inexpensive" but they do what they can with "senior" discounts, Angie's List discounts and it is appreciated. I am a Preferred Customer and that helps, as well, with the response time. So far the same technician has been sent each time I've had them out which is a nice touch, too. Baker Brothers is my "preferred plumber!"

When replacing a toilet it was discovered that the flange was broken. The plumber had to take out the old flange and do work on the pvc drain pipe before installing new flange. The work was completed successfully the first time and no problems since

The technician was friendly, and quick. He listened to the problem, diagnosed it, and went to work. He advised that in some older houses there, sometimes, is an old fashioned drain sump under the tub, and that if there was one it will take more work, but there wasn't, and the technician was done in about 30 minutes.

the technician couldn't have been nicer, however, the work was not complete. We called them out to unclog our drain. We just moved into our home a few months earlier and noticed the toilet was running slow. He came out, unclogged the line, but once he left the shower began stopping up. When we called to explain the situation we were told that we would have to pay additional fees if we wanted them to come out again. When the technician came back out he fixed it, but told us that we had a crack in our sewer line that we would need to get replaced. We had several companies come out to give us estimates and they ALL told us WE DIDN'T NEED ANY WORK DONE! When we told them about Baker's Brothers coming out to unclog our line, they all said "OH, that makes sense"....apparently they have a reputation of taking advantage of client's trusting the "professional". The other plumbers also told us that we got ripped off on the price....they (all 4 companies) are cheaper and guarantee their work...unlike Bakers Brothers. DO NOT USE THEM, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF

Came unprepared for job which was thoroughly described to them the week before (installing to large gaslights and extending gas lines out from front door two feet). They sent one person. He could not do the job alone and needed a second helper. None available. The office then came back with an estimate of $2150 plus an addition amount of several hundred for brick demo (not repair) for the job. I said no thanks. Gaslights were installed within a day by another plumbing co for $515 plus an additional $150 for the brick repair. : /

The first two plumbers didn't fix the problem, they sent a third guy who fixed the problem. I felt it could have been done the first time around. I ended paying a lot of money. This is a reputable company, they were prompt, showed up on time. I learned a lot about plumbing. It could have been done better though.

Felt it was too expensive and found it strange they couldn't breakdown the price of the parts and the labor for me after he gave me a quote.

Arrived on time. Diagnosed the problems and quickly fixed them. We have used Baker Brothers exclusively for a couple of years. There is a reason. Professional, fair, and reliable.

They were great and did a great job.

It went fine. They did a good job on the installation. The price was good. They got a couple of things to do to satisfy the factory but it’s not a problem as far as the system is concerned. They did fine on their punctuality.

Technician took extra steps to protect the home, carefully inspected all the incoming lines to make sure they would withstand the pressure test - good thing because one of the toilet lines had to be replaced first. It took a couple of trips to the hardware store to get the correct faucets for upstairs but once those were done everything went smoothly. He even carried off the extra mound of clay created from the digging out. Are they shockingly expensive - yes. But the service is outstanding, high quality and the peace of mind regarding Plumbing is completely worth it. We've used Baker Bros for 15 years and never had a problem.

The workers were very professional, very clean. They were very personable as well, very friendly. They were very thorough.

The last time we used our plumber, it took them a week from the time we had the problem to when they could come to our house. When waking up one morning and finding that your hot water has just become "lukewarm", waiting that long isn't an option. So, after reading Angie's List reviews and trying to cross-reference that with consumer reviews on water heater brands, we decided on Baker Brothers. And we are glad that we did! Over the phone we were advised that due to the 14 year age of our existing water heater that replacement was the only option. We were given two price estimates with the differential being the length of the warranty associated with the water heater. After making our selection, we were provided an appointment for that afternoon. They showed up on time and did the work quickly. We ended up paying a little more than the original estimate due to needing a water pan and drain that weren't installed with the original unit, but it wasn't a big deal. They were in and out in under two hours and scheduled the city inspection for us, which was completed with no issues a week later. We were extremely happy with the work and will likely be using Baker Brothers for future plumbing work.

they changed the filters in 2 faucets in a timely fashion then I paid them, later I was sent a Thank you card.

Very smoothly. Arrived on time. Wrote an estimate and got to work immediately upon acceptance of the estimate. Had to bring things up to code. Left the house clean. Very pleasant the whole time.

They were punctual and professional and did a great job. Yes, I would use them again. It's hard to compare pricing - other places (big box stores) did not include all the pipes, etc. you need to replace unit.

On Sunday 2/16, we woke up to a flood in the kitchen. At first we thought it was from the dishwasher but after checking everything out that we could do ourselves and found nothing, we decided to call a plumber. On Monday morning I called Baker Brothers at 8am, they came out a few hours later and found the leak. Dwayne R and John B. did a great job. They were fast in finding the leak and very neat in repairing it. They are two of the nicest, professional and knowledgeable contractors that I ever had come to my house. Very pleasant to talk to and they explained everything to me so that I would understand what needed to be done and what they were going to have to do to fix it. They didn't make a big mess and they cleaned everything up when they were done. I am very happy with their service.

Prices for jobs are pre-set despite actual time. Very attractive, but far from a good deal compared with time and materials from other providers on Angie's List. It didn't even last a year. I had a toilet leak, tried to use it and it was incompetent.
