Well, this was the second plumber I had out to find a leak.  First group, from Angie's List no less, charged me $500 (which, after I did some research on what the cost for slab leak location should be, is very high) to locate a slab leak, and then quoted $8k to fix it.  Called Andy out and his quote was SIGNIFICANTLY different.  Andy and an assistant came out and worked 10 hours, partially in jackhammering a hole in our bedroom to get to the leak, and then, here's where it gets interesting, digging up the garden in front of my house to actually come much closer to... the leak.  If I had just let Andy do his job, and not insisted that the leak was where the other 5 (that's right, 5) plumbers, said it was, I wouldn't have created extra work for this guy.  He found the more likely spot where the leak was without the crazy equipment by just using his eyes.  Strange that the previous group missed it, even when they had to put their hands into a pool of water surrounding the shut off valve.  Sigh.  Anyway.  I can't think bout that, 'cause it makes me a little ill.  We decided to reroute the plumbing rather than jackhammer a second hole in the floor, and everything is working fine.  This guy was great, and very fair with his pricing.  I have found my plumber.  He's a small operation, and I'm somewhat resistant to share him with everyone else, so I'll have to say something negative to fend a few of you off: I don't think his shoes matched his pants very well.
Note - The charge I have listed is for the work he performed without the cost of the jackhammering.  I paid him for that work because he did it, even though the leak wasn't there.  He also took pity on me and cut me a deal since the leak wasn't actually there.

he had to drill a hole in the back of roman tub wall to hold the drain up for the popup and did a fabulous job This man is Andy and he is very professional . Andy is punctual and does very good quality work. He is also very neat in his work and does not leave any messes for anyone to clean up. I feel blessed to have found such a good person and plumber I can trust with our needs of plumbing.

He was excellent. He did a great job and he worked fast. We were really pleased. We would recommend them to anybody. He was great. He was very, very good. What stood out to me about him is his patience for the work. He completed the job much faster than what I would imagine and it was all done properly. The job went overall excellent.

I had a copper water line leading into the house that separated at a joint (a and quot;sharkand quot; had failed). I called Andy Parrish and he returned my call the same morning. We made an appointment for him to come repair the leak the next morning. He showed up as scheduled and repaired the leak the way it should have been done the first time by someone else; he soldered a new section in place. The only hitch came when he went to turn the water back on. I suspect that this is the first time Andy had encountered a skunk living in the meter box! Fortunately no one got sprayed and we got the water back on. The skunk left that evening.

Andy Parrish is a great plumbing contractor. Always courteous, and professional, speaks in layman's terms, and gives fair prices. His work was of high quality and he did not cut corners. He has already been hired for more work on my remodel.

They had to reschedule once, but were on time and finished in the time frame they'd said they would. After they arrived, they determined they'd have to cut an access hole in the drywall to replace the supply lines while protecting the bathroom tiles. They kept us informed and let us know what the additional costs would be. They cleaned up after they finished. We're not replacing the hot water heater now, but we'll call them back when we're ready to do that.
