I hired Lasanta Maintenance and Restoration services to remove the popcorn ceiling from my house. He quoted me $3200 and roughly 3-4 days to scrape, fill, repair cracks/holes, retexture, and paint. I mainly wanted to start with the upstairs and the main entry portion of my 2 story home, and asked to have that portion completed only. Day1: I came home from work to see that my entire home (minus master bedroom and bath) had been scraped. When I approached him about this, I showed him the text requesting what I desired. I understand mistakes happen, so I agreed to pay for the work, but also add painting the tall walls for an additional $100. I gave him 1/2 of the total amount ($1650). Because he had completed the entire home (nearly), I stayed up until 2 am pulling the trim off the walls that I needed to so, he could continue the sheetrock/wall repair. I was told he would be at my house @ 7am the next morning to start work. Day 2: The crew and "manager" showed up @ 9:45am to start work. After confronting them on this issue, they apologized and got to work. Throughout the rest of the day, I was asked to run errands and pick up supplies they needed to work. I thought this was a bit unprofessional, but complied to keep the progress flowing. Day 3: Barely any work had been completed when I arrived home, but was told there was only one guy who knew how to float the walls and ceiling, and texture appropriately. Day4: I arrive home from work, and Richard is working alone in the house with no progress made, to which I am then informed he had fired his workers due to a disagreement. Day 5: No further progress with the exception of some spraying texture on unprepared walls/ceiling had been completed. Day 6: I am out of town and am assured by Richard on several occasions that work is being completed, even though a family member of mine had been by the house 3 times, and no one was present, much less working. Day 7: I arrive home with my wife after being out of town to find paint and texture literally falling from the ceiling. Patches have fallen to the ground, and numerous other spots show cracking and spider webbing. When I confronted Richard about this issue, he claimed it must be the paint that was causing it (not the fact that he rushed the entire process, left the ceiling sheetrock completely uprepped, sprayed the orange peel texture, didn't let it dry for a full 24 hours, and then painted it very thick trying to cover up imperfections that were very obvious). I gave Richard the opportunity (again) to fix the issues as he assured me he would. Day 8: I came home from work to find Richard working, but accompanied by a random woman he had allowed into my home who was a "friend of his", just visiting the area I assume. Very little progress was made on the walls and ceiling, and we went over expectations and realistic timeframes for everything, again. He told me he would arrive early the next morning to resume work. ***worth noting***: At this poin
