American Home Shield Home Warranty sent this company to my house for a "second" opinion on HVAC unit repair, after the original technician reported a leak in the coil and a need to replace unit. Prior to AHS sending these jokers out, we got a second opinion from Abacus, who confirmed the coil had a leak and the unit should be replaced. R Harris A/C & Heating, however, came to my house per AHS's insistence, took money for a service fee then commenced to lie straight to our faces, that the AC unit was "working as intended," despite the thermostat being set to 73 and internal temperature being 80+, despite the AC unit outside screeching, and despite two other HVAC repair companies stating the exact same thing--the coil had a leak and the unit needed replacement. This company's sage advice? My lack of double pane windows and square footage is the cause, exactly like Home Shield Warranty wanted them to say so AHS can deny coverage. Do yourself a favor and refuse to let these people into your house.

Great! R Harris came out, said unit was old but not to replace until we absolutely had to. He measured the freon finding we were only 1&1/2 lbs. low, filled it with freon, flushed out the drainage pipe, and charged us only for the freon at $70 a pound and the service fee. All in all the bill was less than $200! I really appreciate R Harris's honesty and professionalism.

Service man was late. Window was from Noon - 5pm. I had to call at 5pm to confirm service man was still coming to property. He arrived at 5:45pm

R. Harris came out multiple times to deal with my a/c via our home warranty company. He advocated to get them to replace the unit as he knew the problems would continue until the unit was replaced. Once we got approval, his crew was out very quickly and did the unit replacement. In all of my dealings with R. Harris, they were on time, courteous and professional.

Good job in replacing a condensor coil, however, missed that a the new unit had a faulty part that needed replacement.

We had been feeling for a couple weeks that our A/C thermostat was not working properly. It would say a certain temperature, say 75 but one time it would feel freezing at that temp. and another time it would be warm. We never noticed this problem the prior year. We had to use this company due to our warranty, however Robb was very professional and checked out everything. It was determined there wasn't anything wrong with the system and we've just gotten better at using our ceiling fans. Who knows if there was ever a problem.
