Modern Roofing is reasonable and did great work.

This is the third time that I've used Modern Roofing. They were excellent then and they remain excellent now. Their service is prompt, their estimate is accurate, they're on time, they clean up after their work day and their crews are very communicative. The work that they do is top notch. I highly recommend them.

I had previously hired Modern Roofing to do a few repairs on my roof. I was pleased with what they did and later arranged for them to power wash the roof tiles of my house, my driveway and to clean the roof gutters. The guys who came worked hard and took great care to make sure the job was done thoroughly. The roof and the driveway had needed cleaning badly and they now look like new. The owner was very responsive whenever I had any questions and came to my house to make sure that I was happy with the work. I have had 2 excellent experiences with them now and I will use them again in the future. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to have this kind of work done.

I have used Modern Roofing one time in the past to do repairs on our roof. They did a good job. I thought I would use them on my mother’s house. Bad idea. There were many issues I had with them, including but not limited to the following: 1. her roof needed to be replaced, she didn’t have any leaks, but it needed to be replaced. After Modern Roofing installed the new roof, we had a significant leak in the house. My husband found the area where the water was coming into the house. The water was ‘pooling’ before it was noticed because it was in the laundry room under the washer and dryer. It produced mold on the floor (indoor / outdoor carpet) and possibly in the wall. The insulation and rafters in the attic were wet also. None of these were ever addressed / fixed by Modern Roofing. 2. I had contracted them to use “SureNail Technology”, after 2 months of the roof being installed, my husband found rusted nails where the water was coming in. If proper nails were used, how did the shingles come up and why were they rusted? 3. The men that worked on the house were extremely unprofessional. I spoke with the owner of Modern Roofing about their unprofessionalism. He agreed. He said he was going to fire them / let them go. 4. They replaced some rotten boards on the back porch with treated wood. After 5 months, the boards look like they are splitting. They also said they would come back and paint those boards. They never did. There were more issues that we were concerned about than mentioned above. But this is enough. All issues were told to the owner. After the owner left January 12, 2019, we have not heard from them since. I tried 2 times to contact them a week to 10 days later. The receptionist took my information and said she would pass my call to Joe and Nick, the owners of Modern Roofing. I have not received any phone call or visit from them since January 12th. I would like for them to check on the mold in all areas where the leak was, replace any wood on the back porch if needed, paint the boards they installed and also compensate us for all the issues. Therefore, I would not recommend Modern Roofing.

It was great. Another roofing would not come look at my roof because he had done several repairs in the neighborhood and stated he knew what I needed, new roof. I called my insurance company and they sent an engineer to review the leak. It was determined that I needed new air hawks, not a new roof, and that the leaking was probably coming around those and the stacks. I called Modern Roofing and showed him the report and and photos and he agreed. No new roof. The other company would not even call and send a quote after I sent him the reports. I love MODERN ROOFING and would highly recommended Nick. He is courteous, reasonably priced and gets the job done.

We had a leak and needed an area of our roof repaired. Modern Roofing was the second quote we got and it came in at less than half of what the other company was going to charge us. They also cleaned out the gutters for an extra $100. They workers showed up on time and completed the task. I was happy with the work and even happier with the price. I have already recommended Modern Roofing to a family member who needs some work done.

Everything was very efficient. From start to finish the roofers were on time they were cautious of my plants and pool area. They did a great clean up. Nick came out afterward to inspect the completed job and had a few minor details he wanted fixed before they called themselves finished. There were no hard sales tactics everyone I dealt with was friendly and it all went very smooth. I would recommend for any roofing needs.

Went very well - a little mixup on materials delivery because of multiple rain delays and rescheduling during that time. BUT they got the materials there and still finished the job by the day/time they originally said! Quality of work was excellent. And they did a good job cleaning up. Even came back for a second sweep for nails a few days later after my grass had been cut. Brian, the project manager was very responsive, helpful, and easy to work with. Note: I rated the price as N/A because this was an insurance claim and only cost me my deductible.

Never showed up. Called multiple times. No returns. Just a big time waster. And angry with angies list for certifying them. A clear pattern of doing this. Blow off small jobs.

They don’t need customers. And they are dishonest about it. Would have preferred a simple not interested in the job.

No service performed, they are supposed to arrive yesterday to clean my gutters but they didnt arrive. Haven't receive any phone call or notification from them.

Called 5 times to get a quote starting on August 28th. Every time I called they said they would send someone out to give me a quote, but I never heard back.

Good job when finally done. Problems with communication and getting the work scheduled, but once it WAS finally scheduled they arrived on time, did the job efficiently, and cleaned up thoroughly afterward. Allowing for possible extenuating circumstances regarding the long delay in scheduling, overall the company was excellent and still deserves an "A" rating.

This company is EXTREMELY hard to get a hold of. They showed up at 7:00pm. Instead of the 1-4 time given. They couldn't reschedule for a while so they went ahead and caulked all the pipes even though it was getting dark. After several attempts for someone to come out to look at additional issues, someone did show up 3 weeks later. Gave me a quote for several options and haven't been able to get a hold of since. Nor have they tried to follow up. Went with a more reputable company in my area Ochoa Roofing, at a much lower price. The price Modern Roofing was so outrageous that you could tell they didn't want to deal with a small problem. Granted this was after hurricane Harvey. And they were probably busy but still. Call customers back! I tried to schedule 2 weeks before the hurricane. Nobody would call me back after I was told someone would by the receptionist answering the phone. They definitely need to work on their communication with clients and following up. Especially phone calls with messages attached. Would not recommend this company. Go with Ochoa Roofing. Superb customer service and they do excellent work.
